“LIVE WITH KELLY AND MICHAEL” ANNOUNCES “GIRLS NIGHT OUT: OSCAR® EDITION”

One Lucky Viewer and Her Friends Will Receive a Trip to Hollywood,

A Memorable Night Out with Kelly Ripa, and the Red Carpet Treatment

New York, NY – January 14, 2013 – On February 25, 2013 top morning talk show “LIVE with Kelly and Michael” returns to Hollywood for the show’s second post-Oscar® broadcast, just hours after the 85th Academy Awards® presentation comes to a close. But this time, “LIVE” wants to bring along one lucky group of girlfriends for all the glitz and glamour with “Girls Night Out: Oscar Edition.”

“LIVE” has treated past “Girls Night Out” winners to fabulous evenings in Las Vegas and New York City, and now it’s on to star-studded Hollywood, Calif. The search is on to find a group of friends in need of time away from work, kids and the home front. The winners will enjoy a five-night stay in one of Los Angeles’ hottest hotels, an exciting night on the town with Kelly Ripa, and $2,500 in spending money. But that’s not all – the winning ladies also will be treated like A-Listers with exclusive seats at the legendary Oscar red carpet, and VIP tickets for “LIVE’s After Oscar Show.”

Details about the contest are available on “LIVE’s” website, www.LIVEKellyandMichael.com.

Academy Awards for outstanding film achievements of 2012 will be presented on Sunday, February 24, 2013, at the Dolby Theatre at Hollywood & Highland Center®, and televised live on the ABC Television Network. The Oscar presentation also will be televised live in more than 225 countries worldwide.

I cannot get into the site to enter for the “Girls Night Out”. We are a group of older “girls” (75 years old or near or more) and still want to kick up our heals!!!

Hi Kelly and Michael, where do I begin, there are 5 of us that have been together as friends for over 40years.we have traveled out of the country and in and have done things we are surprised we have not been put in little white jackets or jail, we are crazy, fun, and not afraid to try anything. On our last trip to Mexico for a birthday we even had an ugly bathing suit contest, we did a parade through the hotel and went to the bar, and were quite a hit. Once in Florida, we missed our exit and we went from 60 miles and hour to o in 30seconds, all as ok other than our cooler and food ended in the front seat, we pulled over and had to get out we were laughing so hard. We are huge movies fans and one of the group always had a special Emmy night for the make a wish foundation, and made it as close to the real thing as possible. We would be more fun than you can Imagine, and we love to get dressed to the 9′s . We even went shopping for the ugliest prom dresses we could find and went to the movie Bride Maids for a daughter of one of our girls, we even found her a dress at the goodwill for 99cents with stains and all and went to the theatre and had other patrons sit with us and take pictures, so as you can see we love to have a good time, we would be honored to accompany you to the oscars and show you how girls from Nebraska have a good time. Sincerely Terrie Brownson, ps we even have nicknames for each other, I am pinky lee, we have wudy, Barney, and an erm, and warey,

Hi Kelly and Michael! I’ve never done anything like this before and no one is more shocked than me. I’m a 53 year old woman who works and never goes out. BUT my friends at work party all the time AND those are the young ladies i’ll bring with me if we win this contest. They are two sisters from Louisiana LaShanda and Eldreama(Dream) Morgan.er They came to Augusta,Ga from New Orleans because of Hurricane Katrina. Nobody parties like them, and lovely Lorena from Panama. The next friend is Sonya and she’s there for every theme party they have.I think these ladies invented the words “fun” and “partying”. They are all very lovely. By the way,I’m Debra and this is my last chance to do something wild and spontaneous.

    Hey, Kelly and Michael
I won’t burden you with any stories of life’s up’s and down’s. I am just a 54 year old women with 3 grown daughters and a son, who needs a break from the normal everyday grind. My daughters all work very busy days in the health care system. My son who is my baby (21) is in school in Georgia. I also have a sister who is a workaholic and truly needs a fun night out. If you were to chose me, I would love to have my three daughters and my best friend, who is my sister, come out on the town with us. I can promise you it would be an epic night out. We love fun and are good hard working people who could use a BREAK! Thanks for noticing.

  • Mary Jo Stanton

    Dear Kelly and Michael,
I have been a fan of yours since early Regis, and now with the new edition of Michael the show is fabulous. Having a girls night out sounds like a dream. I am a part-time substitute teacher and take care of my husband who has Parkinson’s so vacations are few and far between. I have always worked very hard whether it;s at home at school or taking care of my husband. My friends and sister s also work very hard. I live in Cleveland so a change of weather would be quite a bonus. Thank you for thinking of me as you travel to Hollywood. XOXO Mary Jo Stanton
