One Lucky Viewer and Her Friends Will Receive a Trip to Hollywood,

A Memorable Night Out with Kelly Ripa, and the Red Carpet Treatment

New York, NY – January 14, 2013 – On February 25, 2013 top morning talk show “LIVE with Kelly and Michael” returns to Hollywood for the show’s second post-Oscar® broadcast, just hours after the 85th Academy Awards® presentation comes to a close. But this time, “LIVE” wants to bring along one lucky group of girlfriends for all the glitz and glamour with “Girls Night Out: Oscar Edition.”

“LIVE” has treated past “Girls Night Out” winners to fabulous evenings in Las Vegas and New York City, and now it’s on to star-studded Hollywood, Calif. The search is on to find a group of friends in need of time away from work, kids and the home front. The winners will enjoy a five-night stay in one of Los Angeles’ hottest hotels, an exciting night on the town with Kelly Ripa, and $2,500 in spending money. But that’s not all – the winning ladies also will be treated like A-Listers with exclusive seats at the legendary Oscar red carpet, and VIP tickets for “LIVE’s After Oscar Show.”

Details about the contest are available on “LIVE’s” website, www.LIVEKellyandMichael.com.

Academy Awards for outstanding film achievements of 2012 will be presented on Sunday, February 24, 2013, at the Dolby Theatre at Hollywood & Highland Center®, and televised live on the ABC Television Network. The Oscar presentation also will be televised live in more than 225 countries worldwide.

    Dear Kelly and Michael,
I’ve tried to enter the girls night out, I don’t know if it took. I’m 53, been a widow since 1989, been waiting for disability for 4 very long years, i cant remember the last time I had a vacation. I live alone in the house I grew up in and I haven’t even met my 2nd grand child. I live with pain and depression and nothing would make me happier than to meet the two people that bring an hour of happiness everyday. I set my alarm everyday so I don’t miss your show. I’m so glad you picked Michael as your Co host Michael the 2 of you make me smile. I really need a vacation, and spending it with you Kelly would be a dream come true. I pray you pick me I desperately need a getaway, and I’d love to meet you in person and go to Hollywood. God Bless your show!

I would be so great full to get away and have some fun for a change. Please please pick me, I need some happiness in my life and Kelly & Michael make me happy for an hour every day.

Well, Kelly and Michael, here I am writing to you on a Wednesday at 10:00 A.M. I’m a retired teacher of 39 years; and so far, the the journey is wonderful. So here I am wanting to be a part of this Oscar night with my four sisters. Each one of them has a special talent that makes me so proud to be their sister. Sue, she’s so giving, so caring; and she’s not pretentious. Sue always is family oriented. Our mom is 88 years old, and Sue and her husband Mike have been diligently focused on her finances. And then there’s Shell. I have found that Shell and I have become closer, especially since I have retired. She teaches at a community college in Bloomington, IL. She is a passionate artist, and I feel her pain and successes as she traverses young adults to accomplish
their potential. Next is Laurie; she’s the youngest sister. She and my brother-in-law, Mike, have moved to the East Coast. Mike lost his job a few years ago, and both Mike and Laurie needed to make a decision as to what their future would be like. Both of my nieces, their daughters, have achieved much success; Lauren in the medical field, and Amelia teaching in South America for this year. Last but not least is my sister Pat. Here is a woman who has been through a lot. Early in her life (as a semi-veggie.etc) she was compassionate about the environment; she still is to this day. She has gone through a lot in her life; she has become a successful health care professional and has advanced her career and her life with John her husband. Okay, so now you know how I feel about these wonderful women; and I hope you will consider this testimony as to my love for my sisters.

I’m a S.S. (swinging senior) able to keep up with the best. What an experience it would be to take such a trip with two daughter-laws and sister. Can assure you we would represent with grace and enthusiasm.

I would love to win this for my wife along with her I would like to win it for my daughter , my daughter inlaw and my two step daughters. My wife and I got together later in life both of us were married before. There are so many reasons why my wife deserves to win this contest. My wife is a very special lady she has given me back so much life
I could never hope to repay her. She is the most amazing person. I could give you a hundred reasons why she and the daughters deserve this and I’m sure every woman that writes in is just as deserving so I won’t bother you with all the reasons. I’ll just say that I think this would be the nicest thing I could do for these five women . I truly and sincerely thank you for reading this and hopefully my wife gets picked.
    Thanks; Dan

I am a retired nurse and I worked many long hard frustrating hours now I spend my mornings with you and that georgous Michael and a coffee pot what a fun show I think a night out with the girls and no call bells could be just what the doctor ordered. What fun Maybe Michael could entertain us with a dance, like the Chippendale dancers.

  • Louise Korhan

Kelly, I recently retired on September 30, 2011. I enjoyed watching you and Regis. Know that you and Michael are best together. I can’t leave the television until your show is over. My husband Joe always comments that ‘Louise’s’ day doesn’t start until Kelly and Michael are off the air.
We both go to the same chiropractor and laugh because I can’t schedule my next appointment until after 10 am when ‘Live with Kelly and Michael’ will be over. That is how much I enjoy watching both of you.
My two best friends, Tina L and Shirley V and her daughters, Demara and Christy and my daughter Yvonne all need a girls night out. Collectively we all have been through such trials and tribulations that this reprieve would be the highlight of our lives right now. My friends know to call me anytime night and day except between the hours of 9 am to 10 am when you are on. I sit have a cup of coffee. laughing the whole time and feeling like part of the audience.
We would be a great pick of friends for your “Girls night out with Kelly, Hollywood Style.” I would love to do something great for each of them that would be memorable. Since we don’t all live in the same state it is hard to have a girl’ night out. No matter what is going on in each other lives we have always been there for each other over the past forty years via telephone, text, email and snail mail.
Hope you pick us. We really, really, really need this time together.
Sincerely, Louise Korhan, your new best friend for our ‘Girls’ night out, Hollywood Style.’

  • Carole Gilbride

I saw the clip from your outing last year and was so jealous! You had a great time together as I know my friends and I would so enjoy spending time with you Kelly. We only need an hour to pack and we will be there. Plenty of laughs and great girlfriend moments to remember. Thanks!

Well not sure where to start….this past year has been crazy for me and I would love a girls night out. With my family, my husbands family’s health not doing good, and trying to get my baby through college, this would be a great stress free opportunity for me. Originally I’m from Maine, but live in new york now. Would love to meet you…you both have a great, stress free 2013…..take care
