Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live baseball game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports.

Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.

Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)

Time Shifted Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

So even airing against The Golden Globes, Revenge didn’t drop below a 2.0. Scandal already accomplished that, TWICE!

  • Max

REVENGE – LMFAO… oh boy, ohhhhh boy.

Alright, I am in a very good mood today so I will not even gloat. I will just say…

all things going as I expected and I will see all of you on Thursday for more lackluster AHS:ASYLUM numbers and on Friday for SCANDAL’S new season high.

  • glover

The Good Wife almost beat Revenge. LOL

Once Upon a Time matched Scandal’s rating and Revenge wasn’t even close.

    Shonda you did it!

  • Hessq

Hey, at least Happy Endings was the same as last Sunday. They obviously do a lot worse on Sundays than on Tuesdays, but I figured it’d be way lower because of the Golden Globes and because this episode aired in the UK last May and most fans have seen it by now by finding it online.

  • ron

i wanna know why max hates revenge so much¿?

  • marian

  • gerry

i couldn’t watch revenge last night because of the globes. i’m sure their dvr numbers will be up as i would imagine many people watching the globes also watch revenge. i’m cool w the fact that they didn’t fall below the 2.0 mark.

  • rob60990

And despite The Good Wife having a gigantic lead-in, it could not beat Revenge.

  • badman

    @ max

what’s the point of comparing scandal with revenge???

different shows, different days, different timeslots, different competition on their timeslot and completely different plots!

they are both going to be renewed so.. what’s your point???

  • Jackson

60 minutes should be renewed with those numbers. Amazing!

  • CrimTV

Listen to Rob, has Scandal ever had to compete with a major award show that scored 5.0+? No! Nothing against Scandal but I love Revenge, why do you have to bash it all the time!

  • DrgonBall Z

Family guy 3.1! That’s great :D American dad did also well. Ouch Revenge XD

  • forg

Still solid for OUAT considering the competition

  • badman

    @ glover

with a 5.4 lead in, 1.9 is baaaad for good wife.. revenge held well despite the competition.. compare them again next week ;)

  • Hmm

I will never understand the Revenge v. Scandal thing. Both of them are going to be renewed. Petty people looking to create drama! ABC should have known better than to air new shows against the Globes, DVR numbers should be higher than normal for new shows this week.

  • senor chang

What do you GAIN from bashing a show that’s going to get renewed anyway every week?

  • Adam

Revenge did much better than I expected, thank god. I love Scandal, I do but Max makes me not wanna be a fan and its ridiculous to be gloating because I’m pretty sure Scandal would have performed similar or even worse in Revenge’s spot last night.

  • Oliver

Looks like Golden Globes will be significantly up year-on-year. My guess is that it’s down to Fey/Poehler.

Hopefully it boosts the ratings of Parks by couple of tenths.

  • The Old Woman

Golden Globes must have had an affect on both Once upon a time and Revenge. Unlike the Walking dead and football, the GG are mostly watched by women who make up the majority of the audience for OUAT and Revenge.

I am sure both shows will pick up next week.

  • Devon

Revenge will bounce back next week, especially with the big episode 14 comimg up. Obviously the ratings decline has to do with the Golden Globes, as evidenced by Once Upon A Time which also sank a lot! That’s why I wouldn’t panic yet.
