Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live baseball game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports.

Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.

Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)

Time Shifted Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

Solid performance for OUAT. Seems like lots of people are catching up on DVR or online. I think the cliffhanger of this episode will keep interest high for next week.

  • Dogg

Lol.. ABC thought 666 Park Avenue did that poorly in the ratings. The numbers last night was beyond pathetic!!

  • David

Woah! Can’t get over 60 Minutes!

  • Joseph

This will likely be the last time the Golden Globes will be held on the second Sunday night in January.

Next year, the new NFL TV deals will give NBC one wild-card game instead of two the first weekend of January, but either an AFC or NFC semifinal each year the second weekend of January.

Since NBC carries Sunday-night games during the regular-season, I suspect that next year, NBC’s wild-card and conference semifinal games will likewise be on Sunday nights (but perhaps with 6:35 P.M. EST kick-offs instead of the 8:25 P.M. EST/EDT start times of regular-season Sunday-night games).

Should there be a two-week gap between the AFC/NFC Championships and the Super Bowl next year (and beyond), the Golden Globes will likely be held on the Sunday in between the conference finals and the Big Game.

Woah! Can’t get over 60 Minutes!

Back in the day, 60 Minutes’ numbers used to look like those football numbers every week! ;)

@People wondering why Max hates Revenge. My theory is he spent months stalking Madeline Stowe and posing socks to her in which he has pleasured himself into. When this didn’t work, he took three years of his toe nail clippings and used them to spell “MARRY ME” in a twisted take on the macaroni picture. This prompted her to get a restraining order out against him. He can’t go within twenty feet of her and is banned from buying any more socks from Wal Mart. This started a hatred for anything the glamorous Miss Stowe is involved in. He compares it to Scandal because he is in love with this and also in love with Kerry Washington. He’s only two months into his stalking campaign with Kerry, and sends her a rose made from play dough every day. When she gets a restraining order out against him, I’m sure he’ll move onto a new show.

I cannot believe that OUAT was crushed 60 Minutes.

  • glover

People hate Max but he’s always right in his predictions. I’m glad for you, my friend.

  • GG

@Gavin, that is pure death. LMFAO

NBC has been carrying Sunday night games during the regular season for the past seven years, yet their playoff games have aired on Saturdays…

The only thing that is changing is that instead of two Saturday playoff games the first weekend, they’ll have one each weekend (one in primetime, one in late afternoon).

    mentalist outgained revenge, nice

“I cannot believe that OUAT was crushed 60 Minutes.”

Look at the lead-in. Expect 60 Minutes to adjust WAY down.

  • Chris

I don’t watch Revenge or Scandal, so no dog in this fight. But obviously if you switched timeslots and lead-ins, Scandal would be getting Revenge ratings, and vice versa. Greys is a better lead-in than OUAT (even without factoring in that Greys and Scandal are both Shonda Rimes shows), and Thursday at 10pm is better than Sunday at 9pm, because the competition in the latter slot is much deeper–not just on the networks, but on cable.

I’d say the shows are equivalently popular.

  • Richard Steven Hack

Yes, it’s fairly clear the Globes damaged both OUAT and Revenge. So…yawn…

One thing Revenge should watch out for – getting TOO complicated. The machinations of the various parties are getting hard to follow even for me. With the reveal about Padma this week, just about everyone is double-dealing. You’re going to need a PC to keep track of the players. :-)

  • Richard Steven Hack

Gavin: No, the socks were mine, not Max’s… :-)

  • zerg

6.4 rating in adults 18-49, up 28% from the 5.0 it got a year ago —
rose 17% from last year with an audience of 19.677 million — Deadline

so..OUAT and Revenge held well enought…anyway RV lost me with this horrible season

  • CBSviewer

Why ABC waits to cancel Don’t Trust the B in Apt 23 ? The Show is falling every week. A 0.8 is a CW number !
There is any possibility ABC renews Happy Endings for syndication ? At the end of the season the Show will have 57 episodes.

  • Ultima

Expect 60 Minutes to adjust WAY down.

While it will probably go down, it won’t be by much because the overrun was only 7 minutes and the game was already over by 8pm. 60 Minutes has averaged a 3.6 this season following an NFL game, so ~3.5 isn’t out of the ordinary.

  • Max

For those unaware and any of the mods can do an IP check if they opt to, he Max at the top of this page and elsewhere in this thread is NOT me. I have only posted once today so far, the second post on page one. No clue why anyone would want to pretend to be me. I’m not that interesting. Continue…
