    Teddy Brigewater

Yep he’s a special kid and word has it he and his mother have decided he will stay his full 4 years and get his degree (BUT) as high as he would go into the draft after next year, me thinks that could change :-)

By the way you think Ted is grand, we have a kid that red shirted last year named Dominik Brown, good grief this kid is a Barry Sanders in a bigger body. As a freshman he would simply run over everybody, he played the last 5 games as a freshman and dominated every team, he redshirted this past year to cough cough Grow and get stronger, like he needed it.

I’m already picking them to go un-defeated through the Regular season in their last year in the Big East and going into the ACC in 2014.

Well, it’s official—the vast majority of Americans are in favor of Obama’s new gun control policy, even the majority of the members of the NRA. And states are beginning to pass needed gun control laws, with Repubs and dems voting for them. The NRA has unfortunately been taken over by extremist people like La Pierre and his boss whose views are in line with scum like Ted Nugent, Beck, and Limbaugh, and a plethora of skinhead-types. Of course, these fringe loonies don’t represent the American people; nor do they represent the vast majority of the NRA. Piers Morgan has it right: there is NO need for civilians to own assault type rifles which are likely to fall into hands of lunatic mass murderers as we have seen all too often. But the NRA lobby is controlled by gun manufacturers and far right extremists who are quite content to abet mass murderers as they (the NRA and gun manufacturers) try to make a fast buck. Of course, there is no 2nd Amendment issue here, as noted last night on the Piers Morgan show on CNN when a t-bag woman was put down by the audience for her absurd views. Some right wing extremists feel that having an assault will somehow protect them against the US government—not a chance. It was laughable to watch this inarticulate t-bag women allege that the government might been to be taken over by t-bags—It was a laugh for the audience. The best thing would be if these right wing extremists would leave the country and start their own country (called Backward Thinking Land) on some continent far, far away. They are holding back the progressive thinking of the majority of Americans. It’s reminiscent of the backward thinking Southerners who were on the wrong side of logic with the slavery issue.

I hear Charlie Sheen is going to be a grandpa!

If it’s a boy guess where he will want to spend the weekend when he is 16.

    You guessed it…Grandpa Charlies!

  • Sicilian Papa

You know when I was a kid I was happy to get a nickel from my Grandpa.

Charlie’s grandson will get a nickel bag.

  • Sicilian Papa

Warning: When you go to Grandpa Charlies don’t play with any of the toys!

  • usa8888

It’s reassuring to know that all national polls favor Obama’s new gun control measures. Of course, the extreme right wing fringe will not support any gun control control measures because they neither have the brains nor the will to do anything. They are being paid off by the gun lobby and the extremist run NRA. Ocasionally, we see right wing extremist congressmen making absurd statements (like the extremist in Texas did recently), but that is expected from people like these who have little education and are being funded by the gun lobby. Things are changing, however–for the good. It’s a happy day!!!!!!!!!!!!

Go ahead enact your gun laws but what we have is a people problem. There where plenty of guns around when I was a kid and people where not shooting up the local McDonalds.

It used to be when someone was not happy they would kill themselves. Now they feel a need to kill as many as possible. They want to be famous to give there life worth.

Here is something the corrupt, liberal, left wing media fail to mention. All your recent killers where secular. Believe me when I tell you if they where bible totters the corrupt, secular, left wing media would be screaming it from the roof tops.

  • usa8888

There are two states which have small counties that say they will refuse to enforce gun legislation: Texas and Oregon. Oregon is a very progressive state but Linn County is a small remote place with some right wing sherrif. And Texas has lots of prgressive people in magor markets, but when you have a governor like Rick (can’t count to 10) Perry, what do you expect?

  • Mikey O

@USA8888 Oh yes I feel safe already. Those tough gun laws work so well in Chicgo and Washington DC sure it will have the same effect nationwide. Have healthcare providers provide gun safety tip I sure it will be free won’t cost a thing in the health care plan. Doesnt someone already provide free gun safety training ?? I think the NRA does that. Of course spend more money 4.5 million on gun control. I wonder would a place like sandyhook have gotten any for this money for the following list items below or would it be big cities ?

4 billion for the president’s proposal “to help keep 15,000 cops on the streets in cities and towns across the country.” (That is roughly $266,000 per police officer.)

•$20 million to “give states stronger incentives to make [relevant] data available [for background checks] … “$50 million for this purpose in FY2014”

•“$14 million to help train 14,000 more police officers and other public and private personnel to respond to active shooter situations.”

•$10 million for the Centers for Disease Control to conduct further research, including investigating the relationship between video games, media images, and violence.”

•$20 million to expand the National Violent Death Reporting System.

•$150 million to “put up to 1,000 new school resource officers and school counselors on the job.”

  • usa8888

The gun solutions are obvious. That’s why the majority of American people support them. If you left hand grenades for sale in every gun shop to anybody without serious checks, they would get out in the public realm. And some lunatic is liable to get hold of one and commit mass murder. Solutions are very simple. But the gun lobby is content to kill thousands more children by looking the other way while they put a fast buck in their pockets. Hopefully, the Repubs will not take the gun lobby’s bribes…..

  • usa8888

The NRA management is an embarrassment to NRA members and most members would like to see them changed, according to recent national surveys. Hopefully, this can be accomplished sooner than later…..

  • DB

“its official”, according to recent surveys, most, all, majority– you talk a lot 8888 but you say nothing. Just once back up a statement with fact– oh wait that means you would have to make a truthful statement. Never mind!!! Funny, you don’t comment on the ratings lately.

Just for example pls, show us the survey of NRA members that says most of them would like to see NRA management changed. That management is doing something right, membership has increased by 250,000 in the last month.

  • Sicilian Papa

The illegal gun lobby will be lining up to fill the void.

Putting a band aid on a gun shot wound.

Totally ignore the people problem. Bury your head in the sand ans it will go away.

usa8888 it is not Christians running around killing people it is the secular society that the left has endorsed. Pass some more laws that will do the trick.

  • cathy

I don’t understand the board language of Obama’s executive orders. Are any guns illegal today that weren’t yesterday?
Some of these order read to me, like Obama telling people to start doing their jobs.
I do see a couple that seem to be over reaches into state’s rights.
Looks like a lot of money grabbing for federal agencies.
It seems like this was all about giving away money that we don’t have.

•$150 million to “put up to 1,000 new school resource officers and school counselors on the job.” Forget about the money to the counselors. Give the money to the School resource officers (armed guards) only.

I am a firm believer that one of the main reasons school violence has increased are because of the politically driven “Anti-bully programs”. These are poorly run programs and in many cases have bullies in their leadership. We all remember school. The popular kids were some of the biggest bullies. No they weren’t the ones that kicked and punched people, they were and still are the ones that belittled others in quiet behind the teachers’ backs.
So now we have these Anti-bully programs in our schools ran by the very people who are doing the bullying. Everyone talks about how loving and friendly the school is. The outcast are farther pushed away by the programs that are to help them. It’s no wonder why some choose to act out. The school administration is saying there is help when in truth there is none.
