   Nooooo…how did Continuum not make the top 100?!

   I just hope Syfy has it in their hearts not to cancel it, because I am hooked! And if they do, well, I’ll be ROYALLY PISSED – but at least I’ll have Project Free TV. Although I would prefer it if Showcase allowed us Americans to view their vids…

   The most likely explanation for Bunheads’ inability to achieve higher ratings is that the subject matter just doesn’t appeal to a lot of viewers. The writing is offbeat and it helps to be “in on” a lot of the insider jokes and pop culture references that run through the show. One other factor is Sutton Foster’s considerable talent simply doesn’t seem to project as well through the medium of television. She’s a tremendous stage actress who can use her talent to elevate even sometimes mediocre musical story lines. But that’s clearly not working for her on Bunheads. The show is currently on de facto probation. It’s aired two episodes of an eight episode back order. So, unless the ratings miraculously go up, I see no reason why why ABCF will greenlight any more episodes.

   Syfy desperately needs a ‘buzz show’ to draw people. All their shows are pleasant and kind of generically derivative, some are better than others but there’s nothing with any pizzaz. They desperately need another BSG or Stargate or something with a fanbase like Fringe but I think too many old time viewers felt burned by a lot of Syfy’s past decisions and there’s nothing on the channel that’s got any of the cachet of TWD or Dexter etc. They’re doing just as well with their second hand shows like Lost Girl as they’re doing with their actual made for Syfy shows like Haven, W13 etc. At least for scripted. Face Off on the other hand has some panache but GH is getting long in the tooth and I don’t know about Black Out.

   Switched is steady but it needs a boost. It can’t afford to falter.

   No Bunheads? No surprise. I feel like ABCF only renewed it to have something to pair with Switched this winter since they couldn’t justify renewing JBD again. Bunheads hit it’s peak with a .7. I doubt it gets much better than that.

   Switched at Birth was renewed for a 20 episode season 2 so it will automatically have a back 10 in either summer or fall. The 2B ratings will determine whether or not it gets a 3rd season.

   Actually, TLG only scored a .6 in the 18-49 accoring to The Futon Critic. Not ok considering its lead-in.

   Ricky: I saw Continuum earlier and made some posts commenting on the low rent appearance of the show and the weak scripting. Shaw Media of Canada has been producing a lot of stuff like this lately and there was little reason to believe that any of it would ever have much success outside of the Great White North.

   Made an appointment to watch Continuum. Doesn’t look like many other viewers did so. Didn’t like the production values (especially the soundtrack), but I liked the story line, the lead actress, and the presence of William B. Davis (the X-Files’ “smoking man”). Hope it can grow an audience.

    Those are not bad numbers and if it continues to get those numbers and demo, it will be renewed for a season 4.

    Bunheads however is over.

    switched did alright.. staying steady. And if im not mistaken didnt this happen with bunheads last week, it wasnt on the list but it didnt do to bad. Its ratings come late someone said last week.

    Bunheads was on the list last week. The show that wasn’t on the list was TLG, which makes sense since TLG appeals to a younger crowd than Bunheads.

    Didn’t even know Continuum was on last night. Saw zero promo’s for it and Im watching tv all the time. Though there is nothing on Sci-fi except for Alpha’s I watch. No wonder no one watched it last night. If i didnt know, then most others defiantly didnt.

    Syfy does need something other than these barely sci-fi Monday series. They are probably pinning all their hopes and cash on Defiance. I’m still so upset at the station for cancelling SGA way back when I’m not even sure I’ll give that show (which actually looks like it might be good) a chance. I’m sure I’m not going to watch any of these Monday shows.

    bunheads won’t get a second season renewal. i’ll be surprised it the ratings are even steady with last week. s@b is steady with last week. that’s good news for them. they’ve got to continue to hold it for the rest of season 2 though. like someone else said, they can’t afford to fall below their current numbers. their season 2b rating will decide if they get a third season.

    not looking too good for Being Human, although last season averaged what a 0.6? The episode was really good though

    Broavo is HURTING big time on Mondays, and considering the network interviews etc Vanderpumps Rules is a loser and sinking fast. In the case of BH Housewifes I think they are highlighting the Brandi woman too much and she is turning off viewers, her book was a flop also. I think it is time for a major change there.
