yes please swap TM with TGW because 2/10 of a point difference is huge. TM will get big bang numbers at 9. give me a break.
Sorry, I think I was conflating Here Comes Honey Boo & Boo and the B show together. I meant Don’t Trust the B. Either way, it’s not showing much life. i see cancellation in its future.
Why move The Mentalist to Sundays?
Why, why, why?
Is it a question that will ever be answered?
Oh, I know the answer. Because clearly it’s doing *so well*.
Honestly if I were CBS I would move the Good Wife to Fridays at 9pm and move the Mentalist up an hour and I would move CSI NY to Sundays after the Mentalist on Sunday’s. Since CSI NY is still doing well I would renew it for a tenth and final season. Make it go out with a bang. CSI Miami had 10 so why not give 10 to NY as well. Mentalist has secured itself another season on CBS. It used to be such a big hit but CBS moving it this season was not a good move.
Golden Globes went up a FULL rating point in the finals? Did the west coast repeat add that much?
There was an update to the initial ratings yesterday, that reported the GG ratings as above a 6.
I read some of the opinions yesterday and today about Revenge how the quality isn’t as high, at some level yes because i personally thought that Jennifer Jason Lee should have staid in the show, maybe she will return. But saying that people are quitting the show is just ridiculous. Revenge gets high dvr ratings, higher then last season. This episode won’t be an exception the Golden Globes was on for crying out load. In total Revenge receives around 11million and high 3s(18-49) the networks don’t see that as relevant but that is still the audience so please shut the f..k up!
@Dr. TV, the West Coast repeat doesn’t add anything. It’s just that more people watched the live West Coast airing than the repeat following it. The repeat was counted in the prelims, while the live airing is counted in the finals.
Sorry Jennifer Jason Leigh.
HE and Apt23 both got new series low 0.9 and 0.8 i’m enjoying them while i can cuz they won’t come back!!!
Wow Once Upon a Time doesn’t seem like the strong show it did last year
Go Mentalist go!
ABC… oh ABC. Even burning off the rest of 666 Park Avenue would have given them better 10pm ratings than this mess. I think sometimes they go out of their way to shoot themselves in the foot.
NBC red carpet live it wasn’t 2.5 rating?
Look at Family Guy(3.2) and The Simpsons(2.4). Easy to figure out Family Guy gets better ratings. Simpsons NEEDS football.
Last year Pan Am got a 1.2. I believe 666 Park Avenue would have earned at least a 1.0 on January Sundays. ABC should have delayed airing two episodes of Happy Endings and Apt 23 per week until after all their unused episodes of 666 Park Avenue have aired.
The only “good” reason for ABC’s strategy is to give Happy Endings one last chance to impress TBS. ABC is trying their best (in an inexpensive way) to give Happy Endings a new home by airing a repeat episode of Modern Family on Tuesday at 8 pm). Of the four scripted ABC shows on Sunday night, I predicted 3 of them accurately.
@DW: Name another 10:00 PM show on network television that consistently gains both total viewers and viewers among A18-49 compared to its 9:00 PM lead-in. I can wait. Granted, this doesn’t say much when a 9:00 PM show on CBS is as low-rated as TGW. CSI: Miami managed to do the same. However, there’s little doubt that TM would be able to increase its numbers in an earlier timeslot and do significantly better than TGW. Meanwhile, TGW would probably draw the same or similar numbers at 10:00 PM due to being down to its hardcore fan base anyway.
A 2.1 at 10:00 PM out of TGW is pretty damn okay these days considering that every single 10:00 PM show on CBS is down this year. Even Elementary and H5O, CBS’s 2nd and 3rd most watched shows in that timeslot, don’t do that much better despite their much stronger lead-ins.
@PhilipM,
Where did you see that TGW did a 2.1?? Read again.
The Mentalist did really well!! CBS should move it back to weeknights.
And lastly, where did the Revenge live viewers go?
Don’t care much for Aiden and The Initiative either but I’m rooting for Daniel + Emily back together again.
Revenge will go up this sunday.
Even Once got a 2′s demo.
Sorry for being unclear. What I meant to say was “A 2.1 at 10:00 PM FOR TM out of TGW…”
