Those demo ratings for TLG seem pretty consistent with last weeks ratings.

  • panda22

@ JoJo….yup, plus it easily beat Bunheads demos yesterday. But this is a tale of lead-in dependency.

  • Dillan

Compared to last week, TLG had a pretty small drop. (Just with these demos).

  • JoJo long as TLG keeps beating Bunheads..which I expect it too throughout its fans have nothing to worry about. PLL and TLG are good together.

  • rob60990

PLL lost 8 tenths from last week in W18-34 while TLG only lost 2. TLG ratings still aren’t anything impressive though. It remains a bubble show.

  • Rachel

The only way I see TLG getting renewed if he they pass on the Socio pilot since that would most likely be PLL’s companion this summer.

Or who knows, they may renew The Lying Game and wait yet another 10 months to air it since that cast doesn’t like filming during the summer in Texas heat.

@ Rachel….poor Allie Chando, she is burnt to a bronze crisp!

I would tend to think they’d stick with TLG just because it’s pretty much the only show that actually pairs fairly decently with PLL. At least they already know these two go well together. If ABCF were to pick up Socio, there’s no way they’d know if it would work well with PLL. They don’t seem like they even have the same target audience, IMHO.

  • JoJo

From what I’ve read TLG only got a 10 episode 2nd season order. So once these episodes are over..even if the series gets a 2B or 3rd season those episodes wouldn’t be ready for a Summer launch anyway leaving Socio as the logical choice to pair with the PLL Summer run.

  • Jared

My gut tells me that TLG will get picked up for either additional season 2 episodes or a third season to launch Fall 2013 with PLL. Socio will be the companion series with PLL Summer episodes.

  • Rachel

PLL is the Vampire Diaries of ABC Family. No show can hold its audience but that doesn’t mean they’re gonna stop trying to find one, Lol. Idk, Socio will probably flop as well so they might as well keep TLG around as backup.

  • Rachel

Fall would good a good time to air it. It would probably score a .5 airing without a lead-in. I think we all agree that between TLG and Bunheads, the latter is dead.

  • Jared

I’m not convinced that Socio will flop right out the gate..but I do agree that ABCF will order more episodes of TLG as backup just in case

Well, yes, no show is going to keep PLL’s retention numbers, but I think TLG fares marginally better than anything else ABCF has going right now. And going based off the premise of Socio alone, it seems like even fewer people would stick around for it. It doesn’t even sound like much of a match for the channel in general.

  • RosyBum

TLG does seem to be doing better than anything else behind PLL for obvious reasons.

I do think Socio will be picked up partly because they’ll see it as a good companion to PLL. Whether that means it will be paired with it this summer is another thing. I could also see them trying to anchor another night with “The New PLL”.

If TLG doesn’t drop below these numbers I think its likely to be renewed for at least 10 eps, though I think without PLL it would be getting more like Bunheads numbers.

  • david

PLL was good last night. I think Byron is involved in Alicens murder. TLG seems to hold the audience the best out of every show they have tried so far.

  • Andrew

If TLG was to get a s2B the episodes would be ready by summer the season finale along with pll is on march pll last year starting shooting for s3 in April so I’m sure TLg season 2b can be ready by summer .

  • Richard Steven Hack

I don’t think Byron was directly involved in Alison’s murder because they’re pushing too hard to make it look that way. However, there’s little doubt she was blackmailing him. I wonder if people shouldn’t look to either Meredith or Alia’s mother as a suspect eventually. But those are likely to be red herrings as well. :-)

I’m waiting for the big blowup when Toby gets nailed for being part of the “A team”. That’s going to seriously mess up Spencer, who’s my favorite character at the moment.

And I think Lucas has the right idea: take Mona OUT altogether! :-)

  • Jenny

If ABC Family renews The Lying Game they’ve got to stop this 10 month hiatus crap. The Show would probably do well in the summer, and is the heat thing really that big of a issue? Why freaking film there in the first place? That just sounds like an excuse.

  • Lexi

    I love The Lying Game.
