It’s interesting to note that most of the shootings in Chicago occur in the community that was organized by the Chief Community Organizer.

  • Ratboy

    @ usa8888

You really are beyond help! Rasmussen in fact has a poll that over 80% of the people support background checks for guns which leans toward your claims.

Now I hate to dissapoint you but I watch very little FOX (no MSDNC or CNN). I like others here with a brain get most of our information from numerous sources from here and around the world. We also do it with an open mind as opposed to sticking with stuff like MediaMatters or Think Progress and looking for information that supports an ideoligy.

We also back up our statements with sources right or wrong. Maybe one day when you grow up you will understand but in the mean time a suggestion would be to only say what can be backed up and you may start to gain some credability as opposed to looking like one of the biggest fools here!

Not to mention that the occurences skyrocketed when his boy, the Godfather, took over as Mayor!!

    Good to see ya Hoppy!!!!!!!

  • Ratboy

NOTE: key word THIEVES, not good guys. Will a background check stop them, NO! Will a waiting period stop them, NO! Will gun safety class stop them, NO!

Journal News map-listed guns, permits stolen from New City home, cops say

Journal News gun map debate rages on Cops: Take down the gun permit map Police: Fecal matter sent to Journal News employee
Two handguns and two pistol permits were stolen from the New City home of a man whose name and address are listed on the website of a local newspaper as possessing gun permits, police said.

The thieves ransacked the house Wednesday night, breaking into two safes on the home’s third floor and stealing a third safe. The guns were in the stolen safe, police said

If that is a fact, then he is sorely missed in that community. If his return could save the life of one single child… well, he might do whatever it takes.

Rat and usnretired, I believe you guys may have made a huge anthropological find. I believe you guys have unearthed the dumbest person on the planet and maybe in the history of the world. I see a Nobel Prize in your future– no wait you guys aren’t progressive, communist or Muslim so you don’t qualify. Maybe usa888 can send them some of his posts and he can win for being the dumbest person on the planet or at least for making the most fact absent arguments of all time.

  • Ratboy

    @ DB

Maybe we should just refer to him as “Special”

By the way, If I got the Nobel do I get a gift card or something?

  • DB

Rat, I think you get a free trip to Obama’s inauguration. :-)

  • cathy

What I like about the U.S. is that each person has the right to decide what type of gun if any, they want to defend themselves and their families.

I live in a low crime area. (One murder in the last 20 years and it was a husband killing his wife.) Also I live on an island if the world around us starts to go nuts we just spin open the bridges.
My fifteen year old daughter has tons of people over. We had the homecoming float at our home. So with over 150 teenagers in and out of my home, I have moved most of our guns out of my house. I love the fact that it was my choose.
I should say my use of guns as a main method of safety changed after I had my son 21 years ago. Where I used to carry a gun, I now have personal protection dogs. Three lively Shepard that scare more people then a hidden gun.

If it is the inaguration, please withdraw my name from the nomination but if it is for his impeachment I will put some cash with the nomination!!!

    @ Cathy

I got more guns when my children were born (many years ago) to better protect my family. by more I mean a handgun for me and one for my wife.

I had hunting rifles and shotguns but no handguns for the night stand. As the kids got older i went to handguns with clips as opposed to revolving chambers so I could keep the clip in one location and the gun in another but close enough to each other so I could respond quickly if needed. as soon as my children were old enough I started teaching them about guns and gun safety so they were not as curious as they would have been with out that teaching. I taught them how to shoot and let them decide if they wanted to be around guns or not.

Now that I am alone I have a shotgun with deer slugs and a small hand gun handy should anyone try to mess with my space! I dont hunt anymore but I may again someday.

Sorry, does not support your claim.

Your wrong on ABC unless you can prove me wrong.

Citibank falls short of earnings projected–blames new regulations and legal costs. Translation: they couldn’t package bogus loans like they used to and had to come clean on the credit card hidden fees. CEO only takes home $10 million/yr with $20 million golden parachute–don’t know how anyone could live on such a meager salary……

  • usnretiredx2

Here is what you seem to be unable to find. The link below is who did the survey for ABC which CNN and NBC picked up and also ran the same story.

I will not comment other than get a clue and bite me!

  • usa8888

THe right wingers didn’t believe the polls before the election and lost terribly: women, young, gays, blacks, latinos, highly educated whites, immigrants….maybe they will make the same mistake again. I’d bet on it….

  • usa8888

USN–should have been an admiral and you wouldn’t be making such ignorant comments….

  • Ratboy

    @ usnretiredx2

Your not saying that usa888 is wrong are you?? He has repeated it so many time I figured it had to be true. I guess that means he DOES have to prove that the sun rises since now his credability is shot to heck!

So lets recap, NRA is NOT discounting their memberships, ALL of the polls do not show that most Americanns agree with the gun controls, NONE of the polls show that most Americans agree with the gun control, and most NRA members dont agree with the most of the Americans since there are not a group of most of the Americans that agree with the gun control.

final determination = usa888 is full of crap!
