   You believe that I am a “nut” because I find it scary that people want to create this “Citadel,” that I would like to see a limit on magazine capacity, or that I would like to see universal background checks performed for all guns. If this is why you believe I am a “nut,” then I’m guilty!

   I read those 23 exec orders, funny I didn’t see anything about Hollywood toning down the violence. I also wrote my elected officials saying I want a ban on cell phones in cars since people texting kills more people every year thans guns do. WHAT!! Your upset because I want to infringe on your right to use a cell phone in a car? I torry

   Goooood Morning!

   Coffee Dude, the cold will be here this weekend. We are looking at temps mnear zero and we could end up getting hammered with lake effect snow. If the snow machine turns on I could be sitting in a foot or more!

   As for the exec orders, they are an absolute JOKE!!!! BUT, his little dog an pony show sucked in the people he wanted, the uninformed ideologs.

   If you look at the numbers he layed out for new cops and guards in schools and the numbers to be trained and educated, it is a fraction of a fraction of what would be needed and do nothing!! 1000 guards???? of the hundreds of thousands of schools in the nation who gets the 1000 people??? How stupid!! But the loons are buying it. Yep, A JOKE! The king is all dog and pony show and no solution!

   Good morning, I guess. We were going out of town today , but, my cell phone was blinking weather warnings for about 8 counties & all the schools are closed. These mountain roads including I-40 can be dangerous when the weather gets bad, so, here we sit. It’s going to be so quiet after the birthday party blast we went to yesterday for my husband & dog aren’t much fun.

   Trying to sort through an accurate US yearly gun death stats., 2011 is the last full year with 2012 still preliminary according to the FBI’s violent crime page . Information collected regarding type of weapon showed that firearms were used in 67.7 percent of the nation’s murders. Murders by firearms is the lowest since 1968, when 13,800 were committed, according to FBI records. That’s about 9397 murder gun deaths in 2011.

   Washington : National Highway Traffic Safety ­Administration : Texting and talking on cell phones behind the wheel kills more than 5,000 people every year on US highways. When I first read this report earlier in the year , I couldn’t believe the deaths weren’t higher , especially since they combine testing & cell phone use .

    It appears that this president can push anything through with the help of the corrupt press and organizations like Media Matters, Think Progress, etc. spreading out through the internet to also push his agenda. The Republicans did not loose the election because of messaging–they lost because the dems controlled the messengers–the press.

    What Do German Central Bankers Know That We Don’t?

    On Monday, Germany announced that it will be moving a significant portion of its Gold reserves out of storage with the New York Fed and moving them back to Germany.

    In simple terms, Germany has just announced that it doesn’t trust the US Fed.

    I read this story the beginning of the week, but, what I’m reading now should be even more concerning.

    Fed Can’t Produce The Gold Germany Wants Back & It Will Take The Fed Seven Years To Deliver 300 Tons Of German Gold

    Wires Trumpet ’5-Year Low’ in Seasonally Adjusted Jobless Claims, Ignore Year-Over-Year Rise in Raw Claims

    None of the three major wire services covering today’s report from the Department of Labor on initial unemployment claims is reporting the major news: For the first time in a long while, actual claims filed during the most recent week ended January 12 were almost 6 percent higher than the number filed during last year’s comparable week, an indication that the current employment market may be worse than it was a year ago. Instead, all three are headlining how today’s questionably created seasonally adjusted claims number is the lowest in five years.

    Both weeks had five business days. Both weeks represented the first such week in the new year. So how did higher raw claims result in the lowest seasonally adjusted claims number in five years, a number which is 8 percent lower than last year’s comparable week? The answer, as will be seen after the jump, is that the seasonal adjustment factor used this year is sharply higher than the one used last year

    With what we know from all the horrific shootings in the last 4 years if we had enacted any of the President’s recommendations 4 years ago would they have stopped any of them.
