Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live football game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports.

Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.

Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)

Time Shifted Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

Well if people are sick from NCIS and want to watch only original not 2 hours than what will be with 3 hours on the night ncis’s(2 spin-offs) is the real question. I mean ncis la drop more than full point than compitable mothership withpout any competition at all.

@And don’t put comedies at 9:00 on Tues, NBC!! Think!! Think there is a potential spot for your drama hits!!

I think they get it. But a litle late. If next season ncis la is on 9 pm and NBC put there action drama after the voice they will own that hour and will kill spin-off and all comedies. They will do it and now but i guess is too late for change.

  • Oliver

The leads want the show to end, and NBC will be losing a tonne of money on the show at this point, which would only get worse next season.

NBC execs also believe The Office is a major reason why the network’s comedies are so low rated, since Whitney/UAN struggled after it last season, but they’re utter morons.

  • lisa

Vegas has been steadily improving in quality throughout the season, and had another great episode yesterday. Too bad they have no young viewers, because the cast and the writing are quite good.

  • Petar Ivanov

Will this year have in USA inauguration for president(its the same president) wich usually is in tuesday and will have state of the union(not sure about name) wich also was on tuesday and will that mess up tuesday line-ups. And when.

  • Mayans

Nobody watches Raising Hope, won’t be long before Off Their Rockers also win in terms of rating. They already have by far the better numbers of people tuning in.

  • psychic

“Vegas – CBS’s new HIT DRAMA!”
    My ass.

  • Alan

The good thing about Emily Owens M.D. is that it’s still steady with all the other shows back!

  • Joe D

The US Inauguration is always Jan 20 but being a Sunday this year the festivities will be on Monday but won’t affect TV primetime. However, the State of the Union address is now scheduled for Tues Feb 5 a couple of weeks later than usual and will probably piss off Smash as it will preempt its second episode.

  • Matt

Why on Earth would NBC pull Betty White.. They had to know it was going to target an older audience. And it beat every single comedy on the Fox lineup. I can’t believe Goodwin Games was pushed for those travesties.

  • Petar Ivanov

    @Joe D
Thanks. So networks will air in prime time only state of the union, right?

  • rob60990

SOTU address is on Feb 5? No wonder ABC has been promoting Body of Proof as Tuesdays in February with no airdate. Guess it will be delayed a week.

So happy to see Parenthood going strong.. there should be a 5th season. I saw someone said it needs 20 episodes for syndication, but i dont think it should get a 5th season with 20 episodes because the short seasons seem to help the show. Theres not so many breaks, they had nice holiday episodes this year. So i hope they renew it for 5th season with 15 episodes and then maybe get a short finale season with 11 episodes.. which would give it syndication and we’d get a 6th season to tie up the show nicely. Because a show like this deserves a final season to tie up things in a neat little package like OTH did. Thats just my opinion though. I love the show so id be cool with 2 more seasons lol. Oh and side note very interested in seeing how TLG and PLL did last night, both episode kicked ass.

  • Petar Ivanov

nbc must delay smash too. Its smart move.

  • a p garcia

Bad night for NG,NCISLA should stick with the mission of NCIS and maybe the 3S will improve.

  • DeanW

    @ eridapo

Maybe NCIS will get adjusted up because if this 3.8 is a 3.84. It only miss 0.01 to be adjusted up to 3.9. NCIS: Los Angeles did good considering the “9PM Chaos” !

  • Abc123

NCIS is declining slightly in the demo. It’s obvious because 2 years ago, a 4.6 was paired with the 22.85. This year, a 3.8 was paired with the 22.34.

However, for a show in its 10th season, it is doing very well, and still has a few years left in the tank. I’d guess it will go at least to season 13.

    Buh-Bye The AbNormal!!!!! :)
