Mark2—
I do recall you and others shouting from the hilltops how MSNBC is destroying FNC a few weeks ago. Now that that’s no longer the case, you say cable news doesn’t matter. You realize how silly that makes you appear?
This must be a rhetorical question.
Mark2, If Cable News is insignificant then why do you spend so much of your time on this site? Do you really have so little going on in your life that you troll insignificant sites and try to inform people how unimportant things are? Is it just the good samaritan in you trying to guide us poor clueless people to a better life? Enlighten me with your wisdom. Debate topics that no one else but you is arguing about.
Why is it that only the dumb liberals seem to debate on sites? I know that there are very smart ones. But I can’t find them on the net…..
How silly of me. Smart liberals aren’t on the net because they understand once on the net it can be viewed forever.
Thanks for the insight cathy. I had thought the two were mutually exclusive.
I found it…. USA get all his information from Maddow.

Lookie lookie usa you are wrong again.
answer for your printed lies USA….. Come tell me how smart you are. Tell me how facts are everywhere to support your statements.
lol cathy. I admire you and others who even try to counter usa8888 with a dose of reality, but I’m afraid the efforts are futile. I mean, this is a person who pronounces with certainty that there are bullets purposefully manufactured to tumble and these must be banned!. When challenged, this person says “it’s all over the internet/just search YouTube/get a college education.” In reality, it is not all over the internet, there are some examples on YouTube of bullets tumbling when improperly rifled, and to the dismay of a person like usa8888, I have a college education (bachelor of engineering). There is no remedy except time for someone like usa8888, unfortunately.
Tzca–if you have a degree in engineering, you should be able to go to You Tube and get the physics explained to you about tumbling and fragmenting bullets. This is not rocket science but the right wingers can’t seem to grasp this. It’s pretty straight forward…
CAthy–you never gave us your opinion of Stockman…

usa8888, tumbling and fragmenting are two very different consequences of impact.
TUMBLING
ALL bullets will rotate and possibly tumble based on rifling (spin coefficient), grain (weight) of bullet, impulse pressure of ignition (a factor of primer and powder formulation), and changing medium (temperature of air at time of impact and material of impact (gelatonous/ceramic, etc). Any tumbling in the air before impact DRASTICALLY reduces accuracy of the shot. The reality, usa8888, is that bullets are not specifically manufactured to tumble, and therefore cannot be banned.
FRAGMENTING
Fragmentation (rapid expansion of bullet material on impact) can be designed into the bullet. A perfect example is a hollow point round. These rounds, in theory, can be banned since the round is specifically designed to obtain a fragmenting consequence.
The Hague Convention did specifically forbid the use of expanding bullets as a rule of war. There is NO mention anywhere of tumling bullets.
In reality, usa8888, projectile science is closer to rocket science than you want to admit. It is obviously difficult for people to grasp, as it is obvious you don’t grasp it.
^ tumling <— tumbling
Tzca–you argue inconsequential minutia. The point is that all the “dangerous” bullets should be banned for home use. AND, bullets can most certainly be designed to tumble. Stop copying from a site and use your head on the bigger issues. I hope you are for Obama’s gun policy because the majority of the public IS…..
@tzca
you can’t talk to him why try?
usa8888, I did not copy from a site (yeah, I actually do have an engineering degree). I’ve sat by idly for a long time watching you make an idiot of yourself with your tumbling bullet comments. Having an engineering degree and having served in two branches of military (first Army for two years, then transfer to Navy), I understand a little something of ballistics. Your comments are idiotic. Only once, did offer a correction to something ninja said in regards to a very early 52 grain 5.56 round for the M16A1 that did tumble, often on barrel exit, resulting in high inaccuracies, was discontinued, and is therefore extremely difficult to find.
TZCA–you are still stuck in minutia and fail to grasp the gun issue as it relates to killing children. Take another shot at it. To give you a hint, it’s not the barrel exit that causes the round to tumble…
1966, I don’t fool myself with delusions that usa8888 can be educated. But you can’t let people continue to make irrational comments without retort.
hint to usa8888, a bullet has less than a 30% chance of keeping a nice perfect straight through profile on impact.
This just in form the right wing propaganda arm–Fox “News”: They are accusing Obama of involving doctors in trying to stop the murder of children and adults, which the NRA is abetting. It’s fun to read the Fox website just for laughs and, on the other hand, unfortunate that so many gullible right wingers are duped there. Their “bias alert” is particularly hilarious and, in fact, alerts astute viewers to Fox bias…
