I’m retired, so I have plenty of time to visit several different sites. By the way, I never said this site was insignificant. However, Cable News ratings are insignificant when compared to Broadcast News ratings. Also, remember that the majority of comments on site have nothing to do with Cable News Ratings, so take a chill pill.

Teachers Group Picks Left-Wing Terrorist Bill Ayers To Address Their Annual Meeting…

The Association of Teacher Educators has recruited Chicago professor – and former domestic terrorist – William Ayers to speak at their the 2013 Annual Meeting in Atlanta, Georgia which will be held next month.
”I don’t regret setting bombs,” Bill Ayers said. ”I feel we didn’t do enough.” Mr. Ayers, who spent the 1970′s as a fugitive in the Weather Underground. Ayers participated in the bombings of New York City Police Headquarters in 1970, of the Capitol building in 1971, the Pentagon in 1972. ( NYT’s )
Larry Grathwohl has been acknowledged as the only person to infiltrate the Weather Underground as an informant for the FBI. Ayers states that the Weather Underground was created after the townhouse explosion which resulted in the deaths of Ted Gold, Terry Robbins and Diana Oughton. According to Grathwohl, the townhouse blew up while bombs with roofing nails were being created for use at Fort Dix. The purpose of roofing nails was to kill and injure people. Bill Ayers was the Central Committee representative in charge of New York and his claim of not knowing about the nails is not true.
Bill avoids saying anything about his wife’s involvement in the bombing of the Park Police station in San Francisco. A police officer was killed in this act of terrorism

There are many good teachers. Why do they not condone , rather than honor Bill Ayers? I get that he taught college, but , he was denied emeritus faculty status after trustee’s Chairman Christopher Kennedy noted Ayers dedicated a book to, among others, the man who killed Kennedy’s father, Robert F. Kennedy.

CNN host and outspoken gun-control advocate Piers Morgan once joked about shooting professional enemies and separately wrote that he was a “rabid fascist” who wanted burglars tortured after a “decent period of cattle-prodding, testicle electrode treatment, and slow gentle skewering over hot coals.”
Morgan’s comments came in an interview with England’s Daily Mail newspaper.
“So the real question is, if I had a gun with just two bullets, who would I shoot?” Morgan said during the May 2006 interview.
“In the end,” wrote Hardy, “he can’t choose between them, so he opts for a clean shot to take out Hislop and a ricocheting hit to mortally wound both Clarkson and Gill ,who were his professional enemies.”
In 2004 Morgan penned an op-ed for the Evening Standard headlined “I can’t be liberal on burglars,” in which he said he said a series of home invasions and robberies at his home made him wish for a gun.

So, for everyone who feels that guns are “a scourge on society,” they should probably take note that firearms accounted for less than one half of one percent of all deaths in 2011. I’m not trying to trivialize anyone’s suffering since death, in any instance, is tragic. However, we have a political class that is dead set in abolishing the Second Amendment. We’ve all heard the figures. Michael Moore’s Bowling for Columbine features a segment where he reads the butcher’s bill for gun crimes in Europe and Asia, which he then compares to the awful United States. Yes, it’s high. However, it’s hardly enough to push for radical new gun laws. AWR Hawkins at Breitbart wrote yesterday that:
…in 2011, the total number of gun-related deaths was 8,583.
In other words, the percentage of deaths that were gun-related in 2011 does not even equal half of one percent of the 2,513,171 overall deaths for that year.
And if you really want to see how exaggerated the current anti-”assault rifle” rhetoric is, just look at 2011 numbers for the percentage of rifle-related deaths.
That figure is .012 percent of the overall deaths in America in 2011.
Meanwhile, the percentage of overall deaths that were the result of falling off things like rocks and ladders was 1 percent, or nearly three times the percentage of deaths that were gun-related: 26,631 versus 8,583.

@dd I can’t explain it. I don’t recognize what education has become and the people who seem to be in control. At one time the majority of teachers were kind, tactful and strong in their beliefs but expressed them with dignity and class. They set and example for students in their words, deeds and character. What I see now from the leaders is vitriol, hate, anger and little concern for the students.
In regard to your comment yesterday about the gold. Have you read much about concerns about the gold supposedly stored at Fort Knox? Interesting topic
