   suburgatory really does not click behind modern family. but it’s an excellent match with nashville.

   and YAY NASHVILLE! for the 2nd week in a row, it’s hit its best numbers since the series premiere. love the show and hope the growth continues.

   there’s always talk on here about what CBS will do with sunday nights like cancel TGW or move it to sundays or switch TGW with TM. if they mix things up i can see either CSI or crimnal minds at 9 or 10 on sunday. both are proven shows with loyal fan base and it would be easier to start a new series on a wednesday than sunday at 9 or 10 with overrun and SNF and the walking dead.

   Criminal Minds beat that semi-hit drama NCIS: LA by 0.2 without lead-in and against AI! Last night’s episode was one of the best this season. I didn’t see the ending coming.

   Modern Family is down a lot in 18-49 vs last year (5.1/12 A18-49, 11.89 million viewers). I wonder why MF is down (a lot) this season. You would think it would trend upward because it’s young and critically acclaimed. The Middle is only down by 0.2 vs last year.

   The Neighbors will sink more when it has to air on its own. Such a mistake ordering a full season.

    Darn… No adjustment for AI… Can we expect this number to be its season high and just assume that it will go down from here….

    CBS is in repeats tonight, so the only real competition is ABC.

    I expect Idol to drop another 2/10s to 3/10s tonight.

    The Neighbors has kind of grown on me. It’s not great by any means but it fits the ABC family night much better than I expected. Actually like it better than Suburgatory which I’ve stopped watching altogether.

    I seriously love the Neighbors and I am sad to see it adjust down. Sure the pilot sucked, but the show has improved vastly and is now one of the funniest/offbeat comedies on television.

    I’m surprised that CSI has the same demo as the ABC comedies – I thought they would have very different audiences.

    SPN was lucky to have kept that rating after all the torture stuff in the first half. Given the bleak ending (even by their standards) I’ll be surprised if they don’t go down next week. We’ll see.

    SPN did well for a CW show in its 8th season. I liked everything about the episode except for the torture stuff, I thought they showed a little too much of it.

    I hope Modern Family & The Middle benefit when they start airing in syndication in the fall. However, I think The Middle will be the one to benefit most since it was never as widely sampled as Modern Family but we’ll see.

    Suburgatory will get The Neighbours ratings when back at 8.30pm. Arrow holding up well. 1.1 against Idol is fantastic just puts the rest of CW shows to shame.
