Wazzz up Hoppy?
s Cold as it is today Vietnam sounds good all of a sudden LOL
Hey, Hoppy–what do want the US to do–let Al qaeda take over Africa and Europe and then the US. As you may know (or probably don’t), the CIA is involved. The GOP has no plan for anything, just criticize the dems……
Have a great afternoon folks, we are out of town till late tonight…
Peace
See ya Wed Morn
@ Why? And again, how can you claim that core budget disagreements HAVEN’T been a big part of Congressional discussion
How can you have a budget disagreement if there is NOT a budget to disagree with???
A bunch of people disagreed with ryans budget but there were a bunch of D’s that agreed with parts of it. But the senate did not have one for the last 3 years to even talk about!!!!! Why is that so hard to understand? Why do you think it is LAW that the house, the senate, and the president ALL produce a budget?
I will tell you this! If the house did not present a budget with a R majority there is no way in HELL that Obama would not make a HUGE deal out of it and DEMAND that they do their job and abide by the law of the land! But he wont do it in the senate, in fact he wont even talk about it!
From NBC NEWS: Virginia right ringers passed a gerrymandering bill dupicitiously while a key democrat was away attending the inauguration so the GOP could pad the vote in certain areas. Law suits are planned as the GOP can win only by cheating…..

Hey, Hoppy–what do want the US to do–let Al qaeda take over Africa and Europe and then the US. As you may know (or probably don’t), the CIA is involved
Again, IDIOT!!! Obama campaigned that Al Qaeda was done for!! He said Bengazi was because a video but NOW you loons are worried about a group that has been defeated taking over Africa???
Rat–I have offered to try to get you into a good university so you will stop talking nonsense, but you persist. You have not been following the news–Obama has done more to eradicate Al qaeda than anyone in history and, if you could read, you would know that al qaeda is persistent, in spite of the fact their ranks have been decimated by Obama. It’s a nice thing France is now getting involved in mali–there are many other nations involved, too, which is a good thing….
Again, the Senate Democratic budget position is to follow the BCA with no significant changes; the reason for this is because they don’t agree with austerity measures during an economic downturn. And, AGAIN, the debt ceiling debate was a budget debate, and the conclusion of that debate was that there’s no compromise to be had, except in the form of mutually assured destruction agreements like the fiscal cliff, which is just an excuse to delay doing anything substantial. You’re trying really hard to sum the entire situation up as “it’s Obama and Reid’s fault,” when it’s EVERYONE’s fault, particularly the American voter.
Austeristy measures during a bad recession or depression make NO sense. They are a recipe for DEPRESSION.
@ if you could read, you would know that al qaeda is persistent,
How can they be a threat? these are the presidents words not mine or anybody else on the right or left!!
And how can they be “persistent, in spite of the fact their ranks have been decimated by Obama”
Cant fix stupid!!
“Now, four years ago, I made a few commitments to you. I told you I’d end the war in Iraq, and I did. I said I’d end the war in Afghanistan, and we are,” said Obama. “I said we’d refocus on the people who actually attacked us on 9/11 — and today, al Qaeda is on its heels and Osama bin Laden is no more.”
Recently, on Nov. 1 in Green Bay, Wis., Obama said, “Thanks to sacrifice and service of our brave men and women in uniform, the war in Iraq is over, the war in Afghanistan is winding down, al Qaeda has been decimated, Osama bin Laden is dead.”
“We’ve got choices about war and peace,” Obama said. “I ended the war in Iraq, as I promised. We are transitioning out of Afghanistan. We have gone after the terrorists who actually attacked us 9/11 and decimated al Qaeda.”
On Sept. 21 in Woodbridge, Va. and Sept. 23 in Milwaukee, Obama again said, “al Qaeda is on the path to defeat.”
Off the campaign trail on Sept. 25, Obama spoke to the United Nations General Assembly and said, “Al Qaeda has been weakened, and Osama bin Laden is no more.”
The next day, campaigning in Bowling Green, Ohio, Obama again said, “al Qaeda is on the path to defeat.” That same day at Kent State University, Obama used the same line. Obama said the same thing on Sept. 27 in Virginia Beach, Va.
On Sept. 28 at the Hilton in Washington, Obama said, “We said that we would go after al Qaeda, and they are on the run and bin Laden is dead.”
There is nothing more frustrating to those living in the US than the impasse between the Senate & the House ,yet, I add fault to the President for failure to lead . President Obama’s Deficit Commission was swept under the rug with a shrug. The Simpson-Bowles fiscal sustainability plan had merit & there were both Democrats & Republicans who supported it. With some adult arm twisting by Obama, some responsible legislation might have been passed. Yet, as Matthew portrays it , by dissing his own Commission, Obama did make a decision , albeit , not a brave leadership one.

There is so much talk about target viewers based on age,
but………….
Media and communications business consultancy firm, SNL Kagan, said Fox News averages 89 cents per subscriber per month, while CNN gets 57 cents and MSNBC collects 18 cents
Interesting: the average Fox News viewer is worth more than four (4) times his or her MSNBC equivalent
Two Republican and Democratic Congressmen (their names escape me at the moment) introduced Simpson-Bowles into the House in 2012 – it got 32 votes. I’m pretty much convinced that it’ll take one of two things to get the ball rolling: a super majority in both chambers by one party or the other, or all of the ideologues getting primaried by moderates.
And, for the record, I acknowledge Obama’s negotiating weakness, and his fear of taking any action that will be too detrimental to his image; Obama is DEFINITELY accountable for some of the failures here, but I don’t give him sole, or even primary responsibility. As always, it’s ultimately up to the voters to fix Washington’s dysfunction, and in recent years, the voters have been failing in this obligation.
@ d.d.
Leadership is what we have not seen for 4 years and we will not see it for another 4 unless the r’s lose the house in 2 years. the the president will lead like he did with Obamacare, do it and do what ever it takes to get it done right wrong or indifferent!
Rat–Obama is EXACTLY RIGHT, and everything you said supports his position–Al Qaeda has been decimated and is on a path to defeat. Obama has done more and continues to do more than anyone in history to eliminate Al Qaeda. You, Rat, have NO knowledge of Mali and Al Qaeda’s work there, or Yemen. The US is working behind the scenes to continue their elimation and we continue to kill every Al Qaeda bozo who steps up to take a dead leader’s place. But the US can not unilaterly take over another country and its police force. Rat, hopefully, you can assimilate what I have said…what university would you like to attend?????
Matthew, It’s safe to say we are never going to agree on putting bill up for vote. Only a vote shows their true position. We can find many cases of reps saying they were going to vote one way but the voting record show us something else. The cowards in the senate don’t want to show where they stand with a vote.
BTW: you said they’re not interested in: changing taxes… Then is this a joke, Sen. Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.) announced over the weekend that the Senate would vote on a budget for the first time in four years and suggested Democrats would use the budget process to accelerate the passage of tax reform.?
Hoppy, we would think a republican was in the white house. All this war.
Under the GOP we have seen healthcare costs skyrocket–up 100% in 10 years so that employers can no longer afford to pay for their employees’ healthcare. Is this what you want, right wingers????
Does it? Obama and other Democrats voted against raising the debt ceiling in 2006, not because it’s ‘what they believed in,’ but because they knew it’d pass anyway, and it lets them put on a phony show for their voters. The Republicans voting for things like a Balanced Budget Amendment, something that they don’t actually want, and know won’t pass, is very similar. It’s political theater.
Voting on things that can’t pass isn’t some great display of integrity and principle, it’s just the opposite; a safe vote that solidifies your ideological cred in the case of a primary challenge. It’s much harder to put yourself on the line for something bipartisan that might actually pass, and have to explain to voters that you compromised on some issues for the sake of getting things done.
@ Al Qaeda has been decimated and is on a path to defeat.
Tell that to the familys of the 4 dead americans in Bengazi and to the familys of the dead in Mali and the list goes on and on.
for ANYONE to be stupid enough to think that Al Qaeda is not very much alive AND again growing………..well lets just say that the suprise attackc in Mali and Bengazi would not have been sucsessful if perpitrated by a group on the path to defeat!
This just in: Netanyaho, the right wing leader of Israel, has suffered some election losses from the moderates in Israel, and it appears Israel will be now guided in a more moderate dirction in the future. Fox, you can now pick this story up…….
Usa, You must have missed this the first time I posted it. I believe you will find this site very helpful.
