    @Grey like Idol is just plain getting old. There rating greatness is behind them. sometimes its better to go out with respect than milk these tired shows for 2 or 3 more years.

    Well people know that i don’t watch Greys and i am not Grey fans so will not comment about that. Greys fans to comment.

    But i was Fringe fan. Now Fringe never was beast or hit like Lost or Greys but fringe was good show and was creatively best sci fi drama since x files. So smart and so good and so quality. And yes i will say it as loud as i can season 5 was a MISTAKE. Nightmare. Almost hurt. WB only do it for episodes count without any money, resources or whatever. This show don’t deserve that ending. I watch only 3 episodes from season 5. I was mad and stop it. Will watch final and that is.

  • Maxime

    Yes ! Season 6 for Parks & Rec !!!

    @eridapo

    Yep, she is hot. A litle old…. for my standards, but hot. But man, this show look so bad. But this year is nbc year in dramas. Can perform well who knows.

  • eridapo

    @Petar Ivanov

    Don’t worry about syndication. POI WILL get a syndication deal, and I’m betting it will be on par or slightly better than what H50 received. I see POI landing of the newly relaunch FX or in USA…. POI doesn’t fit the TNT brand, so I don’t see them making a huge push for it. Spike TV is a possibility, but I don’t know if they have the resources…

    As to Greys… I know it still in syndication, but I don’t think it has been as successful as L&O, CSI, or NCIS. I know in my Local TV market, Greys is not longer airing in any local channel. It use to air on the ABC affiliate in late night, but it is not there now… If it is on cable, I don’t know who carries. I also don’t see it showing up on the Top 100 for Cable ratings reports here…

    how can a show that has less viewers than city of L.A. proper, p&r get so much praise? even in the so called demo group 2 millon pathetic

  • Ashley

    P&r had 4 million. Still not a huge crowd of Nielsen viewers but does well in demo. And relatively well this week taking into account almost all other comedies on all networks (besides tbbt and modern family). And regardless of viewership it gets praise because its a good show

  • MARTY

    ashley, there are 4.2 million people who live inside the city limits of Los Angeles. your vaunted demo is half that. so by your stands going with population half the city of L.A. was watching no one else was!

  • eridapo

    @MARTY

    I’ve been wondering that myself for many of the shows currently on the air.

  • Petar Ivanov

    @eridapo

    I was thinking the same way. If report for FX split and drama channel is true they will be frontrunner for POI to be their main show. Like NCIS is for USA. When you see in time POI to air in syndication? End of this year? Or 2014? Or beyond?

    By the way TBS turns crazy with TBBT. They rerun it all the time 3 hours in prime time.

    Tuesday – 3 hours
    Wednesday – 2.5 hours
    Thursday – 2 hours
    Saturday – 3 hours
    Sunday – 3 hours

    I guess they rerun the same episodes over and over and over and over and over again. No other explanation. And this is ALL YEAR LONG. In the summer too. Its insane. TBBT is only around 120 episodes. With this airing they will air all episodes for 3 months.

  • eridapo

    @ Marty..

    LOL…

    The season average for P&R is 3.425 Million. To put in perspective there are 311 Milliion people in the US of which 289.8 Million are old enough to watch TV (2 and over), so this means that:

    3.425/311= 1.1% of the Total US population watch the show (or 1.2% of the people old enough to watch TV).

    Thus 99 people out of 100 don’t watch the show….

  • Petar Ivanov

    To be clear TBS reruns TBBT from a year so they already rerun them at least twice if not even more. Last night they air 2 episodes at 10 was some reality with 7 episodes. And on tuesday is one episode less for CT.

    ps I guess overexposure is not hurting shows in us. In Europe this will be almost impossible

  • MARTY

    lol its worse than i thought. i gave credit for 4 million lol!

  • eridapo

    @ Petar Ivanov

    Re-runs don’t kill shows…. Successful syndication shows will generate enough revenue to cover the costs of production to make new episodes thereby making the show profitable, and they generally bring in bring to compensate any loss the shows may experience (see NCIS).

    TVD is very steady, ratings appear to be the same or greater than last season

  • Ashley

    Well you asked why it gets so much praise? I answered regardless of viewership, people that praise it do so b/c its a good show. I never said it has great viewership. That doesn’t mean it isn’t a quality show. There are a lot of great shows on TV right now that don’t have great viewership. P & R isn’t alone in this category.

    I love how FUX has all of the media sites saying that Idol’s second episode is even with last year’s second episode in terms of demos. However, none of them are saying that last year’s second episode was only an hour. Last night, Idol ticked up quite a bit at 9:00 like it always does when there is a two-hour episode. If only the 8:00 hour was counted last night, Idol’s numbers would have been down 10% from last season.

  • Austin Lauran

    True or false:

    The NBC execs should start picking up sitcoms that are similar to Seinfeld, Friends, & Frasier & they should only air those type of sitcoms in the future?

  • thesnowleopard

    So, Idol didn’t affect TVD, either, this time. Huh.

  • CrimTV

    @rob60990

    Even if the cast wanted to continue with Friends, the creators didn’t want to go past 10 seasons.

  • Nick

    A bunch of things today:

    • The Carrie Diaries should’ve had a “sneak peek” in that slot. If it can get 0.4 in repeats, imagine what it would get in originals!

    • Parks & Rec doing great at 8:30 pm. I think it and Go On would combat CBS very nicely next year.

    • 1600 Penn is dead.

    • Scandal went down with no Elementary… this show confuses me.

    • The Office, Grey’s, and Vamp Diaries held up nicely against Idol.
