Definitions:
Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live baseball game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports.
Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.
Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)
Time Shifted Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

hopefully a lot of people have sampled the Carrie Diaries. Watched the pilot and it was surprisingly good. The CW needs more shows with good writing.
That’s really not that bad for the third showing of TCD pilot. 1600 may be dead now.
Seems that AI hurt GA, Scandal keeps getting strong numbers..2.6 at 10 PM? That’s beyond great and now it truly deserves the title of “sleeper hit”.. Shonda did it again!
Parks and Recreation back to normal next week when CBS is all new.
yes SCANDAL
Scandal is down a bit from the Series high but it is still up in general and holding onto the gains. I’m totally happy with the show and the rating! I know ABC is trilled–this is their highest rated 10pm show. The retention out of Grey was 91% (pretty solid), only sucks Grey wasn’t a little higher. I would have thought it did better since POI wasn’t on but I assume that might be the affects of Idol.
Either way, great news for Scandal.
0.5 + 0.4 + 0.6 for The Carrie Diaries… Does that mean anything?
parks and rec did really good…maybe they should air it at 8…
good for tvd…carrie diaries for a third airing did great..
yay TVD!
Yay 4 Parks n Rec!
Bad News Bears for 1600 Penn…
TCD repeats are equaling B&B originals on the CW. That can’t be good
Those are good numbers for Idol even though CBS was in repeats. It always usually falls after premiere night and it didn’t fall that much. Those are good Idol numbers.
Honestly with ABC Grey’s/Scandel have proven to be a great combo. Hoenstly what ABC should do next season is move Grey’s/Scandel up an hour early. Have Grey’s at 8pm and use Scandel in the primo 9pm slot. IMO it needs to use Scandel as Grey’s eventual replacement and then launch a new show out of Scandel. Scandel IMO is THE BEST SHOW ON TV. It is a riveting rollarcoaster ride.
*thrilled
I am surprised that Idol held up that well. Parks did amazing, it is a certain renewal and nothing else at this point. 1600 Penn is a goner as I suspected already.
The CW had a good night with tvd higher than the fall finale and with carrie diaries repeating almost equal to the pilot. I know a lot of people likely watched the pilot again, but still if you sum the 0,6+0,4+0,5=1,5 from all the airings, so that is a lot of sample there. If half of that watches it regularly on mondays, it will rise and be renewed. Let’s see what happens.
ABC did great. Grey’s held on reasonably well despite Idol and Scandal is still the highest rated 10pm drama. And to think that 2 month ago I was really scared for the show, wondering if it would even get a full season order
Sad that grey’s is down, though I’m sure in finals it will at least be over to a 3.0, which isn’t really that down against a 5.6, scandal still doing fantastic numbers for 10
I think Scandal got a 2.8 in its first half hour and a 2.5 in its second, wouldn’t that translate to a 2.7?
about time to think about pulling 1600 penn…1.2 with the office as a lead in…yikes…
If I’d known TBBT was a rerun last night I could have recorded 30R instead. Good for Parks…that’s still low but if it’s their season high then that’s good. Great show, deserves to get more viewers. Still enjoying 1600 Penn and glad Office is ending. Still watching but ready to stop when it stops.
Shouldn’t Scandal be a 2.7 based on rounding? I think that is where the final number will be.
