You can see TV ratings from other recent Overnight ratings reports here.

Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live baseball game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports.

Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.

Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)

Time Shifted Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

LMAO @ American Idol. Watch TBBT blast them out of the water in a couple weeks.

  • Abc123

Last night wasn’t too bad of a night. ABC should still be happy with Grey’s around a 3, and Scandal still in the mid-2’s.

CW should be thrilled with TVD. 1.4 is great.

Idol did great last night too, only dipping 0.4 from Wednesday, but I think it will take a nasty hit once TBBT and 2.5 Men return. Probably down into the 4’s in a hurry.

  • Oliver

Even worse news for 1600 Penn is that The Office overruns by a minute so 1600 Penn is likely to to be adjusted down.

  • Bookworm

Possibly but considering Grey’s number, I think Scandal did great and I would totally be happy with the 2.6 and a retention of 91%. However, an adjustment up is possible so we just have to wait and see but right now, the numbers look solid and Scandal is definitely earning their 3rd season.

  • POI

    Go down IDOL GO DOWN

  • Keri

YAY PARKS AND REC! Seeya 1600 Penn. Idol held a bit stronger than I anticipated.

  • Survivor Fan

I am beginning to doubt my prediction that AI will see a 2.x sometime this spring for a results show (it saw a 3.9 once last year).

  • edson

Scandal is the highest rated 10pm drama only on ABC or you guys mean all the networks?

  • Shepherd

CW in third, and not for the first time this season.
I was totally off on idol’s numbers though. I knew CBS was in repeats, but still expected a better showing. Next week is the real test of course.
Grey’s seemed unaffected by idol, which surprises me actually. I thought they would share more of an audience.

  • James

Kind of glad 1600 Penn seems to be tanking fast. The show has poor writing and bad timing. I never root for shows to fail but 1600 Penn is just terrible. It is bad even for midseason standards.

  • Mega64

Heh, Parks & Rec does better without The Office lead-in. Perhaps The Office is more of an albatross now, much like Lost was as a lead-in.

Hopefully there won’t be as large an overlap between it and Two and a Half Men when the latter returns.

  • Bookworm

Only on ABC but for all networks, it might be in the top 3 or 4 right now. The last weeks episode of a 2.8 was the highest for ALL 10pm shows that week.

  • Valerie

    They aired Carrie’s diaries again??

And Greys has now the ratings PP had two years ago.

  • Tony ^_^

Random Question: Will there be a final “Predict the ‘Fringe’ ratings!” poll? It is for the finale after all. ;) :p

  • Oliver

It’s amazing how much older 30 Rock and 1600 Penn skew compared to The Office and Parks.

Rock Center also quietly did well.

  • Ram510

YAY SCANDAL!!!! I hope it adjust up to a 2.7 and over 8 million viewers. Hopefully when it returns on the 31st it’ll finally go over a 3.0!

Great for P&R! I hope Community does at least the same

  • Wright

1.4 for TVD….that’s great. TCD won’t get renewed. It has about the same rating as B&tB and it just started. It should have premiered on Monday to a lot higher rating to have any chance of a renewal.

  • Maxime

Great for Parks & Rec !!!! Hope that it will remain stable with next adjustments…

  • RyanCanada

wow, looks like 1600Pen is dead already, looks like Whitney might be renewed again yay :) great episode of Vampire Diaries and Scandal, i DVR’D American Idol

  • American

TBBT will beat Idol every Thursday come February.
