Definitions:

Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live baseball game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports.

Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.

Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)

Time Shifted Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

    @chrisss

    I assumed they were putting Save Me in the slot opened up by Whitney/GWK, although it’s probably still early enough to expand their orders.

    Save Me isn’t quite ready, but they could easily wait a few weeks before pulling 1600 Penn.

  • Xiaomu

    Go Scandal???

  • Bobby

    Since when did this site start playing music? I like that. They are playing “Firework” by Katy Perry as I’m writing right now. :)

  • danny94

    Scandal will be back down to it’s 1.9-2.2 range come may

  • Oliver

    @Rob

    1600 Penn is pulling Community type ratings

    Which, sadly for NBC, is actually a good thing.

    Series low for Community is 1.3 in a much tougher situation.

    1600 Penn is dunzo.

  • Katie

    @Bobby
    Are you on crack?????????

  • SJ

    1600 Penn would be a good show if it weren’t for Josh Gad. Whoever gave that guy a starring role on a sitcom should not be working in show business.

  • peter

    dont know what shonda did with scandal but it is working omg

  • bigbrotherfan

    damn I was right on with my idol prediction!
    Mariah and Nicki are doin well for sure!

  • networkman

    Big Bang Theory will beat American Idol. But AI will still win the hour because it will be stronger than Two & A Half Men.

    Regarding NBC, Community is getting no love. If Parks & Rec is your highest rated sitcom and they have plans to renew it anyways, why not let it start of the night. Community should then air @8:30pm. This show hasn’t aired in months. NBC doesn’t even show repeats on Saturday and they are going to simply have it start off the night against Big Bang Theory.

  • Ram510

    @Dan

    I’m confused as to why you are defending 1600 Penn, do you like the show?

  • Linda

    OmG I like how this site plays music now. Thats so cool. They are playing my favorite song, “Beauty And A Beat” by Justin Bieber Ft. Nicki Minaj. Im singing so loud right now.

  • Max

    Nice music upgrade by the way. ;)

  • were123

    A Carrie Diaries repeat did as well as a B&TB original; that’s not good

  • Tanya

    Go Greys good numbers, I think Oprah took many of the viewers yesterday and the AI from greys

  • wat

    @Abc123
    (((3,3+2,4)/2)+1,6+1,4)/3
    or
    (3,3+2,4+1,6+1,6+1,4+1,4)/6

    =
    1,95

  • Mi

    @Laura I think Arrow lost viewers this week to AI and to the basketball preemtions this past episode, it was down about half a milion from the previous episode, but who cares as long as it did well in the demo.

  • danny94

    MAX you cannot even compare Scandal And Revenge numbers, Revenge has to compete againest Football, Award shows, the highest rated cable show ever (twd) what does scandal have to compete with.. aN average cbs procedual and the low rated Rock center.

    Despte All this Revenge has NEVER fallen below a 2.0 something that Scandal has managed more then once!

  • bigbrotherfan

    The Carrie Diaries was horriblE! Just horrible! CW GET RID OF IT! I’d rather sit through 9 episodes of “Beauty and The Beast”! :s

  • chris23

    Pretty Nice return for Vampire Diaries.. Parks and Recreation had a nice bump..

    Carrie did great for a CW repeat, considering the original got a .6 and the repeat following it got a .4.

    I still believe the real test for the show is next Monday. I wouldn’t be surprised if it hit .7 or .8 But that is just me being optimistic. I haven’t watched the show but I root for the CW to get out of the gutter and get rid of the underperformers that should have been gone years ago (ala 90210, gossip girl).
