On ABC, Last Man Standing earned a 1.3, down two tenths from last week's 1.5 adults 18-49 rating. Malibu Country garnered a 1.1, down three tenths from last week's 1.4 adults 18-49 rating. 20/20 notched a 1.2, down three tenths from last week's 1.5 adults 18-49 rating.

On CBS, Undercover Boss earned a 1.9, up a tenth from last week's 1.8 adults 18-49 rating. CSI:NY was even with last week's season high 1.6 adults 18-49 rating. Blue Bloods garnered a 1.5, down a tenth from last week's season high 1.6 adults 18-49 rating.

On NBC, a two hour Dateline scored a 1.2, down two tenths from last week's 1.4 adults 18-49 rating.

On FOX, the two-hour series finale of Fringe earned a 1.0, up two tenths from last week's 0.8 adults 18-49 rating and even with last year's season 4 finale. Your predictions were far too optimistic.

On The CW, Nikita was even with the 0.4 its last original earned a month ago.

Nielsen TV Ratings: ©2013 The Nielsen Company. All Rights Reserved.

NOTE: All ratings are "live plus same day" from Nielsen Media Research unless otherwise indicated.

Definitions:

Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.  More information on ratings is available here.

Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)

Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live football game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports.

Time Shifted Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

It was definitely worth it to spend my summer catching up on Fringe – I’m glad I at least got to enjoy the final season with the rest of the (longtime) fans. Truly epic stuff last night.

This weekend, we say goodbye to Fox’s best – and we will soon say hello to what I hope will be their new best, The Following! I really hope this one is a success, because hoo boy, does Fox need one desperately!

  • Jordi

Ok, Nikita. Next friday better, u can!

  • David Howell

I doubt Fringe was even the most loss-making show on the network in the last few years, if you consider how expensive Terra Nova was for the numbers it got…

  • John A

Nikita never grows always a pathetic 0.4. BATB almost did the same ratings.

  • NBC is awesome

Thank god that disgusting show no longer has to be wasting airtime!!!!

  • halloween

lol, now we know why the show runner quit in last season…too embarrassed to continue

  • Sewashi

  • gustavo

Fringe should ended looong time ago.

  • Tony

FRINGE will go down in history as one of tv’s greatest show’s ever aired.
and it was the first time in a while where the series finale of a show was actually good.
Easily the best episode of the season.

    FANTASTIC STUFF

    ESDRU
De verdad eres tan patetico como para trolear Fringe hasta en los foros americanos? por cierto porque no comentas nada de las grandes audiencias de Nikita?
    Lol
    Goodbye Fringe

  • Esdru

@gustavo: You’re right. Just like Fox did with Dollhouse despite it had better ratings than Fringe.

  • Sarah

I became a Fringe fan after watching it’s Marathon on Science Channel.
Awesome show which deserves much better ratings.

  • OMG

I have not watched Fringe past the first few episodes, believing that it will become a bubble show soon. And observing the ratings in Season 1, where it will get less than 10 million viewers after an American Idol lead-in (remember that is a Season 8 Idol lead-in), I am convinced that it will be in danger, so I did not watch.

Then I was on this site and I saw how Fringe on the verge of cancellation in Season 2, but was impressed that it survived to 100 episodes. So this is a huge win for its fans, and kudos for Fox for fulfilling the wishes of fans despite losing money.

  • Mon

On Undercover Boss, it seems like food companies draw more interest/ratings than any other companies.

  • David Howell

1.1/1.1/1.0/1.0 for the half-hours for Fringe suggests an upward adjustment in finals might be possible.

Amazing that Undercover Boss rallied so much in the second half, even considering how TV viewing ticks up as the 8pm hour wears on.
