Nielsen TV Ratings: ©2013 The Nielsen Company. All Rights Reserved.

NOTE: All ratings are "live plus same day" from Nielsen Media Research unless otherwise indicated.

Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.  More information on ratings is available here.

Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)

Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live football game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports.

Time Shifted Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

Ahhhh, I’ll miss you, Fringe! Cool finale.

  • Ultima

    Least profitable show ever made.

Every single scripted show in recent history that fails in its first season has earned less of a profit than Fringe…

    “Because its COOL Peter!”

i predicted lms and mc hitting 1.1-1.3 when they premiered, but it happened earlier than i thought…

wrong about fringe though…i guessed 1.4…i thought since gossip girl increased quite a bit for its finale, fringe would also…guess not.

cbs really the only network that did pretty good last night.

    i miss grimm…

“1.1/1.1/1.0/1.0 for the half-hours for Fringe suggests an upward adjustment in finals might be possible.”

Examining half hour ratings to predict finals adjustments suggests that you have not learned the lesson that preliminary half hour ratings are not an indicator for adjustments.

Goodbye, Fringe, thanks for a good try. 1.0 is rather underwhelming but the DVDs will keep the cult going.

  • Ultima

Just like Fox did with Dollhouse despite it had better ratings than Fringe.

What are you talking about? The ratings for Dollhouse were not remotely close to those of Fringe. Fringe had a 4.0 its first season, while Dollhouse was in the low 1s. Fringe fell to a 2.3 its second season, while Dollhouse fell to a 0.8.

  • Emmy

91 year old Betty White attracts more that double the 18-49 viewers than Nikita does, LOL.

Lol at Fringe dropping at 9. Shows how much no one cared about this failure.

  • Ultima

Lol at Fringe dropping at 9. Shows how much no one cared about this failure.

That doesn’t make sense. If no one cared, there wouldn’t have been viewers to leave to begin with…

    Go CBS!

Thank you, FRINGE, and especially FOX, for providing one of the best television shows ever made. The series finale was packed with emotional payoffs all around with lots of nice throwbacks to earlier episodes. I especially loved the goodbye moments with Walter and Peter and needed some Kleenex watching those, and seeing the alternate universe and how our dopplegangers had fared over the last 23 years was very sweet satisfaction indeed. The actual ending was bittersweet and basically as expected. It was a classy and satisfying end to a mostly glorious run. I’m sad I have no great sci-fi to watch any more and will truly miss FRINGE. RIP ;)

    The Following

The series follows an FBI agent who finds himself in the middle of a network of serial killers, when a diabolical serial killer uses special technology to create it.

The best comment I’ve seen on the Fringe finale was someone said “Fringe sticks the landing” So right. It was absolutely an amazing 2 hours of TV and a fantastic way to wrap up a great 5 season run. I wish it had a bigger audience, but it really doesn’t matter. I feel like a member of an exclusive club that “got it.” I feel bad for those that left and didn’t “get it.”

I do wonder if down the road the ratings Fringe got on Friday will look good compared to what Fox and others put on.

    Dollhouse cancelled with 1-0.8

Same Fringe ratings during its last two seasons.

  • david

The ABC commedies fell alot last night. Good to see Nikita steady at a .4. That was a good idea to move the show back to 8. Wow, Undercover Boss went up alot in the second half hour.

  • brian

    Thank you Fox. B

  • TV Addict

    @David Howell
    Do you go to Ithica?

  • Ultima

Same Fringe ratings during its last two seasons.

    Gunsmoke rule

Ya …. a failure that has lasted 5 seasons… your comment is a failure.

Fringe, was a niche show, and the season 5 finale managed to tie the season 4 finale.

Just shows what a loyal, if small, fanbase it has.
