Due to the nature of live programming the ratings for CBS (NFL Football and Hawaii Five-0) are approximate and subject to more than the typical adjustments in the final numbers. See below for more information on these Fast Affiliate Ratings.

On CBS, NFL Football: Ravens at Patriots scored a preliminary 14.6 adults 18-49 rating from 7-10PM. Update: A special episode of Hawaii Five-0 earned a Time-Zone Adjusted Fast National 3.4 adults 18-49 rating. This number is unlikely to change significantly in the finals. Check the finals, which probably will not be available until Wednesday this week due to the MLK holiday, for accurate football numbers.

On ABC, America's Funniest Home Videos garnered a 1.3 adults 18-49 rating down 7% from last week's 1.4. Once Upon A Time earned a season low 2.4, down 14% from last week's 2.8 adults 18-49 rating. Your predictions were too optimistic.  Revenge scored a season low 1.7 among adults 18-49 down 15% from last week’s 2.0.

Definitions:

Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live baseball game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports.

Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.

Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)

Time Shifted Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

    OMG NO :(

It really is time to face the music, “REVENGERS.”

Please don’t play Fan Excuse Bingo and try to blame this one on football.

REVENGE is clearly losing the audience it had. Whether it is people dropping the show due to bad writing and plots (from what I have read, this is the number one complaint) or finding out that ABC has a much better guilty pleasure show airing on Thursdays @10, REVENGE is basically a loser now on ABC’s schedule.

Time for the show to take another three weeks off before returning. That slow but inevitable drop to the mid to high 1’s is coming. I wonder when ABC is going to have a meeting where they seriously consider not renewing the show for a third season. No amount of mass marketing or promotion is going to put this one back together again.

Unfortunately, no SCANDAL this week to show REVENGE who is boss but we already have the answer to that question comparing the last three episodes of each show side by side.

I think Max just had an orgasm.

  • CrimTV

    @Max

It’s not fan excuse bingo, that’s the thing, it was against a football game that scored a 14.6 rating in 18-49 and last week it was up against the Golden Globes which were up. Scandal has NEVER had to compete with competition that large, ever…

  • John A

LMAO i didnt think Revenge would sink that much.

  • Steph

H50 did great with the lead in.

  • Vasco Silva

Please don’t feed the troll! Let him talk!

  • zerg

    Oh god…
    3 weeks off and Grammy’s…

  • Jeremy

I don’t see why ABC has chosen to air Once Upon a Time and Revenge in the last 2 weeks. Have they not seen that Football every year at this time has dominated. I know they want to have episodes on to not anger the fans, but it’s just plain stupid to air it on night where every other network is airing repeats, because of football games.

  • Dodge Hickey

Once Upon a Time got a 2.4 while everything else outside CBS fell flat? Congrats!

  • Jeff (Canada)

Hawaii Five-0 started 15 minutes late so expect some changes in the finals.

  • CrimTV

What I don’t understand, is why the hell are ABC airing there dramas up against THREE MAJOR EVENTS?! Golden Globes, Football and the Grammys, are they stupid, it’s gonna fall further :(

  • John A

Lol look how much H50 sunk from lead in.

  • Cass rowlwland

this is sick what’s going on with abc

  • edson

    LOL @ Revenge.

  • Michael

OMG ABC was crazy. New episodes and AFC on CBS?

  • Danak

It really was a great game. Go Ravens!!!

  • Matt

Revenge is not losing any audience. It is having a much better year than last year. The first six episodes all ranked over 8 million viewers, and has been consistently in the 7’s with the exception of the past three weeks due to the Golden Globe Awards and Pre-Superbowl football. Revenge has only slid the past three epps because of these major telecasts. Ditto to Once Upon A Time.

  • Blake

It’s not just Revenge. Once upon a Time also hit a series low. The lowest it had been previously was 2.7.

  • Skylar James

ABC did it last year with Desperate Housewives and GCB.
