Due to the nature of live programming the ratings for CBS (NFL Football and Hawaii Five-0) are approximate and subject to more than the typical adjustments in the final numbers. See below for more information on these Fast Affiliate Ratings.

On CBS, NFL Football: Ravens at Patriots scored a preliminary 14.6 adults 18-49 rating from 7-10PM. Update: A special episode of Hawaii Five-0 earned a Time-Zone Adjusted Fast National 3.4 adults 18-49 rating. This number is unlikely to change significantly in the finals. Check the finals, which probably will not be available until Wednesday this week due to the MLK holiday, for accurate football numbers.

On ABC, America's Funniest Home Videos garnered a 1.3 adults 18-49 rating down 7% from last week's 1.4. Once Upon A Time earned a season low 2.4, down 14% from last week's 2.8 adults 18-49 rating. Your predictions were too optimistic.  Revenge scored a season low 1.7 among adults 18-49 down 15% from last week’s 2.0.

Definitions:

Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live baseball game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports.

Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.

Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)

Time Shifted Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

    @joss
OUAT is doing fine, it got better ratings than all the other shows outside of CBS>

  • jT

once up a time will bounce back

  • Jamie

I think ABC need to rethink how they programme their Sunday’s. Didn’t Desperate Housewives fall to a 1.3 last year?

They should hold off the shows until February.

Either way, Revenge and Once Upon A Time will be back next season.

  • Mikey O

Is ABC nuts to put new Episodes against football what were they thinking ?? GO RAVENS

  • Cory

ABC really should get its act together. Airing against huge events, but then taking next week off when there’d be no compeitition? It really is puzzling. I know scheduling is a very tricky business, but I really think they should run 2 seasons of the shows. Ratings were solid in the fall season, maybe run an extra week there til the middle of December, and then come back in February after the Super Bowl/Grammy’s/event Sundays. Although they will be pre-empted on Oscar Sunday, so maybe come back the first Sunday of March. I think that’d be a much better strategy if handled right, instead of slowly killing their hits (series lows for both Revenge and OUAT). I DVR’d both and just finished watching them, as like most I was watching football last night.

After a 2 week hiatus, I expect similar ratings for both shows on Grammy Sunday, and the ratings will probably linger there for the remainder of the season.

ABC needs to start scheduling around these January events.

  • Ram510

So are those days of Once Upon a Time being high 3’s almost 4.0 are over?

  • Jason50

Both football games were great, I can see why it would cause a drop in ratings for some shows. Living in Hawaii I was able to catch OUAT and Revenge as the games were done by 6pm. Too bad I don’t have a Nielson box.

  • Melissa

Ouch Once Upon a Time and Revenge!

  • BigBrotherFan

    Funny.
Deception may rate the same as REVENGE tonight. lol

  • Maximillian

Not worried about Revenge. At all. What so ever.
ABC should be smarter about scheduling, but was it a surprise to anybody (including ABC) that both shows would have series low this week?

    Yeah, I dont think so.

  • jimmy

ABC can’t schedule or promote it’s shows properly. Besides Modern Family, they pick 1 or 2 shows to promote each year (right now it’s Nashville) and everybody else is on their own. CBS promotes so much better, and they promote everything, not just one or two programs.

  • jimmers

what is up with this Scandal vs. Revenge? lol really??? I personally do not watch Scandal (as of now, but I know I will start watching it soon) and it’s awesome that Scandal is getting great numbers and I’m a huge fan of Revenge. But why the “series vs. series” game?

  • Anon

CBS picked a very good episode of H50 to air last night; I will be most interested to see how many of these viewers tune in over the next few weeks.

  • Ryann

I cant beileve that ABC is that low?! I really hope it bounces up next week the mid 2’s. Once Upon a Time also very low, what happened? It was hitting mid 3’s before the new year and now its getting mid 2’s.
    On another note
Go Hawaii 5-0! Ive never watched the show and have always been in two minds about wheter to watch it or not, but i think ill give it a go now.
Love the fact that the cleveland show gets the same figures as a normal airing

  • Ethan

ABC are morons for airing originals against the game

  • Juan

I must agree with everyone that ABC is being stupid, I would rather wait 2 months for Revenge and OUAT than have them on the same nights as these massive events and they go into danger of cancellation, it’s just stupid to schedule it like this. Scheduling has always been ABCs biggest fault. I really hope revenge and OUAT rebound in 3 weeks

  • Ryan

Damn poor Revenge. Hope it adjusts up.

  • zerg

C’mon Abc air OUAt and RV aganist the superbowl

  • Cass rowlwland

I hate to say it but Revenge is certain to be cancelled out of all the shows besides the Tuesday comides what other abc show get ratings this low
