Due to the nature of live programming the ratings for CBS (NFL Football and Hawaii Five-0) are approximate and subject to more than the typical adjustments in the final numbers. See below for more information on these Fast Affiliate Ratings.

On CBS, NFL Football: Ravens at Patriots scored a preliminary 14.6 adults 18-49 rating from 7-10PM. Update: A special episode of Hawaii Five-0 earned a Time-Zone Adjusted Fast National 3.4 adults 18-49 rating. This number is unlikely to change significantly in the finals. Check the finals, which probably will not be available until Wednesday this week due to the MLK holiday, for accurate football numbers.

On ABC, America's Funniest Home Videos garnered a 1.3 adults 18-49 rating down 7% from last week's 1.4. Once Upon A Time earned a season low 2.4, down 14% from last week's 2.8 adults 18-49 rating. Your predictions were too optimistic.  Revenge scored a season low 1.7 among adults 18-49 down 15% from last week’s 2.0.

Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live baseball game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports.

Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.

Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)

Time Shifted Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

    The preliminary numbers show that Hawaii 5-O matched the series high of Revolution. As long as NBC airs Revolution on Mondays, that would hurt Hawaii 5-O.

    Revenge fans may not like to acknowledge the fact that season 2 is weaker than Desperate Housewives season 8. Revenge didn’t get a bump in the ratings in the first new episode after Christmas. Revenge actually dropped more ratings points in the episode airing opposite the conference championship game than Desperate Housewives. If Revenge is to be renewed for next season, the rest of the episodes for this season had better earn more than a 1.8.

    this must be because of the abc soap opera boycott

    @JJF

    Honest question, what would you put there instead? I know lots of people wanted POI after the Superbowl instead of Elementary, so POI? It seems like CBS is trying to support its middle-range shows. When a show does badly or gets canceled, everyone complains that nobody supports shows anymore and just chucks them, but when a network actually seems like it’s trying, people complain about that, too. I I think you can argue about whether or not the results are worth it (H50 definitely isn’t what it used to be at all) but at least they seem to be trying.

    I hope OUAT goes back up, although I haven’t been loving it as much this season.

    Max
    ABC is showing season 1 episode 6 of Scandal “the trail”. Max are you sure you even watch Scandal or do you just hate revenge?

  • Ultima

    @CrimTV
    What I don’t understand, is why the hell are ABC airing there dramas up against THREE MAJOR EVENTS?! Golden Globes, Football and the Grammys, are they stupid, it’s gonna fall further

    And if they went nearly three months with only two new episodes a month apart, people would complain about that, too…

  • Shepherd

    Not surprised by OUAT or Revenge ratings, though I think I guessed Once’s ratings a little higher. However blaming the game on Revenge’s failure is laughable. A repeat of Family Guy, which probably shares more audience with football got a 1.6, while Revenge still only got a 1.7. Once can say goodbye to 3′s from here on out, (maybe 2.6-7 next week depending on competition) and Revenge will probably fall another tenth or so next week.

  • frodo

    ABC have officially killed Revenge, it gets a 1.7 and just over 5 million viewers. Lowest rating to date. This is the last season folks. ABC have killed another good show. Against Grammys should get a 1.3 or 1.4. Its officially dead! I am beyond pissed.

    Time to boycott ABC once and for all.

    this must be because of the abc soap opera boycott

    Oh…..sure lol

  • Deo

    Bad numbers for OUAT and Revenge, but it was expectable due to the competition…
    Good numbers for H50, but again expectable with that lead in and lack of competition…

    So, all in all, a strange night:)

    “this must be because of the abc soap opera boycott”

    Most non-sensical cause and effect connection ever.

    And reading all the other non-sensical comments this morning, that’s quite an achievement.

  • Ultima

    @Cass rowlwland
    I hate to say it but Revenge is certain to be cancelled

    Nonsense.

    out of all the shows besides the Tuesday comides what other abc show get ratings this low

    Seriously?

    Last Resort, 666 Park Ave, Private Practice… :roll:

  • Dennis

    @ MAX

    You can’t compare shows on different nights,timeslots, with different competion and lead-in. But if it makes you happy, sure, scandal would have done better this thursday.

  • Petar Ivanov

    Big mistake from CBS. They had to give that post football slot to their fresh hit drama or sitcom – PoI or 2BG not to h5o. their arrogance could be punished onceagain. They feel that are invincible and that is why they make these midtakes. Yes they are #1 but they are not lock for #1 spot next season. And not to use proper this chances to boost your best young hit shows is just stupid. For example only year after 2BG and POI all CBS new shows collapse. And if next season their new shows collapse again and they miss that opportunity with super bown and afc chapm. will be their fault. They will WASTE this great chances with that arrogance.

  • Cass rowlwland

    I’m serious a great show like revenge is about to die

  • Glover

    Revenge is done. Horrible show. Go Scandal!

  • ron

    i cant at OUAT and Revenge ratings ABCX is stupid to put new episodes agains football and now they all going to hiatus :s

    ABC screw itself

  • jimmy

    Apparently, both QUAT and Revenge return the night of the Grammy’s. More brilliant scheduling ABC.

  • TheFollowing

    The Simpson’s audience is unpredictable.

  • PhilipM

    From Marc Berman at TV Media Insights:

    10:00 p.m.
    CBS – Hawaii Five-O
    Viewers: 16.64 million (#1), A18-49: 5.4/13 (#1)

    10:30 p.m.
    CBS – Hawaii Five-O
    Viewers: 10.56 million (#1), A18-49: 2.7/ 7 (#1)

    It’s safe to say that there will be considerable adjustments. Even if H5O ended up with disappointing numbers, it would still be reasonable for CBS to have provided it with this kind of boost.

    Quite frankly, it’s much more baffling that CBS wasted last week’s football lead-in on 60 Minutes instead of pushing another drama like POI or even NCIS: LA.

  • Ultima

    @Bill
    I don’t understand why ABC didn’t just air repeats this week and air New episodes next week.

    They figured they would do better against a very high rated football game, but virtually no non-football competition than against a mediocre rated football game, but full competition?
