Definitions:

DVR (Time-shifted) Adults 18-49 Ratings – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data LiveLive+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs.

Live+Same Day(Live+SD) ratings include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing.

Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

DVR Ratings Increase Past Airdate - How many people watched the show on their DVRs within 7 days following the airdate

Until the 2009-2010 season, we used a show's LIVE program rating or viewership as the base upon which the LIVE+7 day DVR viewing was added. Now, the press seems to be standardizing around using LIVE+SAME DAY DVR viewing as the base for the calculations, so that's what we do now as well.

nobody can stop the big bang theory

  • THE OLD MAN

    Go CBS!

  • Wright

Good for Elementary. I love that show.

  • sally

where is Parenthood on this list?

  • Matt

Somehow, Nielsen Ratings are going to have to worry more about DVR+7 ratings…these numbers are impressive!

  • Ryann

    Are Nashvilles numbers right?

  • Alan

Good for Revenge, Max will die when he sees this.

  • Kyle

    @Ryann

That’s the numbers for the recap show that aired on January 2. The show returned with new episodes on January 9.

  • eridapo

Damn… POI just shy of 20M viewers….. Good performance.

Here comes Petar Ivanov to comment about POI

    3, 2, 1

  • rob60990

“where is Parenthood on this list?”

I assume NBC coded the episode as a special since it aired on New Years Day.

    “Are Nashvilles numbers right?”

That was the recap episode. I assume it came up as new on people’s DVRs.

  • CBSviewer

Can’t wait to see Live+7 NCIS viewership.

  • Tyson

    Matt,

Nielsen isn’t the problem in regard to Live + 7. It simply reports the numbers. The advertisers aren’t interested in DVR viewers because most of them skip commercials.

  • Ryann

@Kyle Thank you, wondered why they looked low

  • Mon

I didn’t know Undercover Boss does poorly in DVR ratings.

  • HT

Has Max lost his voice at these Revenge numbers?

  • Nerdbot

Great numbers for Revenge! It may sound like a Fan Excuse Bingo card but DVR numbers + ratings the show gets when it’s on air prove that the series is still strong.

  • Petar Ivanov

@Damn… POI just shy of 20M viewers….. Good performance.

Not only that i think 4.5 is best overall demo until now. But you are right 19 767 000 was so close to 20 million. Will be with TBBT, NCIS trand. Its so close.

  • edson

    @HT
These numbers are from three weeks ago. We’ll see if Max will “lost his voice” on the next Live+7 DVR ratings.

BTW, good for Bob’s Burgers. Such a nice show.

  • MichaelChickless

CBS is strong on these lists, but SVU and CF and doing fine numbers for NBC.

  • Liz

Great for Elementary! Best new show of the season by far! Consistent and improving weekly! It deserved the Super Bowl slot for sure!
