CHEVY CHASE, MD (January 22, 2013) – Travel Channel continues to grow its library of original travel entertainment programming and has renewed eight of its most popular series to air in 2013: “Airport 24/7: Miami,” “Baggage Battles,” “Bizarre Foods America” with Andrew Zimmern, “Dangerous Grounds,” “The Dead Files,” “Ghost Adventures, “Hotel Impossible” and “Mysteries At The Museum.” The diverse and expansive content of the returning shows spotlights the world’s most fascinating locations, guided by knowledgeable hosts in their respective fields. The announcement was made today by Laureen Ong, President, Travel Channel.

Back for a third season, “Hotel Impossible,” featuring Melchiorri with over 20+ years of experience in the hospitality business, helps turn struggling hotels into bustling tourist destinations. Every episode features a hotel either not living up to its potential or on the verge of closing. Melchiorri assesses each property and identifies its biggest problems. He then meets with the staff – from the owners and general managers, down to front desk receptionists and housekeeping – and determines the key operation issues. Joining Melchiorri on location are a variety of highly experienced designers including Blanche Garcia, Casey Noble and Alison Victoria, who will help transform key spaces in each hotel. As in earlier seasons, Melchiorri has just days to convince the hotel staff and owners to let go of the reins, formulate a plan, revamp the hotel and re-motivate its staff.
