You can see TV ratings from other recent Overnight ratings reports here.

Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live football game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports.

Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.

Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)

Time Shifted Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

LOL Hawaii Five O beat Castle!!! It was wonderful having 3 nights in a row of Hawaii Five O – The best show on TV!!!!!! Sunday nights and Monday nights episodes were spectacular!!!!!! They were full of action, great plots and outstanding acting and writing!!! Anyone who didn’t watch Hawaii Five O missed out bigtime!!!!!

  • Stephen

Spoiler-ish comment about Following so don’t read if haven’t watched!

If Liam Neeson had been in Kevin Bacon’s role then Maggie Grace’s character would have lived :)

CBS – Yes H50 saw no benefit from Sunday post football airing but really I think it was a good choice for CBS to try since this is a show that “must” be renewed due to syndication so why not try to boost ratings if you know you are stuck with the show at least one more year?

NBC – If Deception drops another .3 next week will it even air all episodes in this slot? TBL doing decent so this slot is being wasted. I guess Revolution won’t come back early but another slip and I can’t see NBC keeping the show there for 2 more months although if Deception is NBC’s Mob Doctor then maybe it will stay put no matter what!

ABC – Decent night overall. Seems the Bachelor is steady and does at least as well as DWTS in the demo and Castle is reliably consistent at an ok rating level.

FOX – Bones decent and Following solid start. Future weeks will determine about season 2. It does seem to be different enough from Alcatraz, Terra Nova, and Touch to not drop too much but time will tell. It does seem if it were to get a season 2 it would need to be a Jan – May type show like 24 so I’m not sure it would end up on the fall schedule even with a renewal.

  • Ashley

The Following was excellent! I will be watching from now on. Hope the numbers go up. TCD’s and Deception’s numbers are awful.

  • Faith

Personally wherever H50 goes I will follow. Would be funny to see CBS move POI to Monday night and H50 to Thursday. Let’s have this happen and then we can accurately compare ratings.

  • Ateofi

It’s not about picking the show “to hate”. CSI is a very good show but its ratings decline and it’s a fact. The problem is that H50 is getting a lot od badmouthing on this site which for example Elementary or any other CBS show is not getting. May I remind you that Elementary ratings slipped to 2.4 and it’s a new show airing on the strongest Thursday evening.

  • Oliver

NBC should investigate whether they can launch Fashion Star early to replace Deception, in case it keeps dropping. Fashion Star is a much better fit with TBL and Deception would be a slightly better fit with Grimm.

  • BigBrotherFan

I can see why people are turned off with Deception. I have seen all 3 episodes and I watched THE FOLLOWING right after. Really made me see all the problems with deception.
For a show that is going for shock factor or twists, NOTHING shocks me on that show (deception).
The girl that was killed in Deception I could CARE LESS about and they are revolving an entire first season around that. The girl in the following (wont say who due to spoilers) was only in it for one episode and I felt like crap when she got killed. She was in the show for 20 minutes no less.
Deception has poor transition to scenes even with a steller cast and I could care less about the girl the who series is going around.
The lead in Deception is good enough but we dont know so much about her. She seems to have no problems whatsoever and is just there as the problem murder solving sexy hero.
Then you look at Kevin Bacons character in THE FOLLOWING and thats pretty gritty/realistic.
I’ll finish with Deception until the bitter end (next week? lol) but funny after watching the FOLLOWING deception looked like a pile of steaming….well, you know.

  • Trey

So is the Following going to be a Procedural or what? Is it going to be one of those things where they’re hunting down one of his followers every week? Basically like Alcatraz.

  • Martha

@ateofi: ” There seems to be an odd rivalry between POI and H50 fans recently.”

Rivalry? They aren’t even in the same league.

  • ToXiX

The Following was absolutely great. I loved it. Kevin bacon was great.

I will predict a 2.8 for next week though.

  • Petar Ivanov

Buy the way POI was 300 000 away for hitting 20 000 000 viewers and be on trand with TBBT and NCIS. Here:

You are dreamers. POI is ALREADY #2 CBS drama. And till end of the season will beat NCIS in demo(at least for the spring ratings) and will be close to NCIS/TBBT viewers. Now if CBS at least advertise it properly during super bowl and grammys we can see new series highs. ANd by the way Grey is still bigger than casle and even revolution for competion. Althou i don’t like it but a lt of people still wathicng it.

  • Patty

I agree with Mike – Don’t compare a boring, idiotic, talentless show like POI to Hawaii Five O which is the best show on TV!!!!!

  • alexis

“Personally I’ve been very pleased with Fox’s lack of success this year.I’m bitter about their history of cancelling shows I love. ”

Or maybe you should try new shows. Rooting for others to fail is really….
I like Last Resort and it’s canned. Now I moved on to other shows.

  • Brandy

@Tessa, because all thier scifi/fantasay/supernatrual shows are doing better than the teen soaps?Secret Circle end of season one and Beauty lately are doing about the same as 90210 did before the hiatus.Because the non teen soaps like Ringer,Nikita ( and probably Cult) are such blockbuster hits ?Not If they only put supernatrual shows on, they’ll run into the same problem they are now now with the teen soap-they get good ratings for a couple/few seasons then crash due to possible over saturation or the “trend”/”fad” goes away.VD will Likley expierence this now that’s Twilights over.Noone would’ve cared about Arrow a couple seasons ago, it’s only popular of the sucsess of Avenger and Hunger Games, which will all die down.

  • a p garcia

The Following is off to a good start, lets hope it doesn’t make me wish Terra Nova had not beencancelled.

  • June

U don’t want to see h50 against AI and Greys Anatomy.
H50 cannot get a better spot. Big lead in and weak competition. The Revolution excuse is gone. CBS even gave the show the game lead in on Sunday and the chose ending the week before… This show is getting the biggest help from CBS. But nothing works because the show is bad. CBS would had moved it to Tuesday or Thursday already if they knew it would help. They didn’t because they know the Monday spot is the easiest one.

  • rob60990

LMAO at POI fans picking fights with yet another fanbase.

  • Chris

The Following was awesome last night! It didn’t do amazing, but it or premiered steady and seems to have a great fan base (aka most people who watched it, liked it.) Comparing it to Alcatraz and Terra Nova is stupid at this point… Hopefully FOX will learn there lesson after canceling both of their fall dramas last year. It’s about time there ratings were about a 1.9!

  • HR

Everytime I come on here it seems like there is another war or faction between shows surfacing … I guess H50 v. POI is the new flavor of the week. I wonder if it will quell the Scandal v. Revenge stuff for a few days. I really don’t understand any of it.

  • JB

@Stephen “If Liam Neeson had been in Kevin Bacon’s role then Maggie Grace’s character would have lived :)”

Thank you Stephen for the SPOILERS!! I haven’t watched it yet, it’s on my DVR. The only reason I’m not as pissed by your spoiler is because that was a pretty funny line…LOL
