   It’s not whether or not he’s telling the truth. It’s the spiteful and immature way he gives his opinions. I mean “LOL”? What is he? A twelve year old girl?

   As for overrated? Again, I could say that Grey’s is one of the most overrated television shows in network history and that it’s unbelievable that it has sucked in so many viewers on a weekly basis for so many years, but that wouldn’t be a fact. Just my personal opinion. Just like it only being your opinion that Californication and Shameless are overrated. You might want to keep that in mind.

   Possibly, which is why I didn’t dwell on it this time around. Still can’t begin to understand what it is you are enjoying about watching that show though. But again, your personal choice and so I’ll leave you to enjoy it without being overly negative.

   See what I did there? The whole ‘not choosing to be negative about someone else’s show’ thing?

   Not worried about the ratings for shows like Shameless. For 2 reasons, it went up against the AFC game in most markets & it can be caught either on demand or multiple showings it has thru the week. Girls & Enlightened would probably do better at 10pm with a strong lead in like Boardwalk Empire or Game of Thrones.

   The Showtime series all went back to normal viewership levels, now that Showtime isn’t being offered free. TOLDYA.

    I knew Girls would drop, I didn’t think it would drop this far. What it shows, and clearly, is that a lot of the people that tuned in to see the second season premier, did not feel compelled to tune in live for the second. I’m sure a lot were turned off as I was during the first season. One week doesn’t really matter though in the grand scheme. Will be interesting to see if the trend continues.

    huh? if girls got 572,000 viewers at 9PM and then another 519,000 at 10PM, then clearly something is up. hopefully it was a one week thing. otherwise the show is stuck in a bad timeslot and should begin at 10PM.

    A much larger than normal percentage of this show’s viewers (ie, the very sort of young urban people it’s ABOUT) probably view it by alternative means, and aren’t hung up on catching the 9pm showing on HBO.

    Personally, I’m not one of those people, and I’m increasingly disinclined to watch it. However, it’s a bit daft to be comparing Showtime’s biggest hits with it–much more appropriate to compare Shameless with True Blood, which gets several times the viewership.
