Way to go RHOA!! I can’t believe people still tune in and watch anything Kardashian considering they are in the news 24/7 and extremely overexposed. Oh well, to each is own.
Ah the saturdays are still flops
@Bill Gorman “That claim is 100% made up!”
Not true. HBO considers 4-5 million a hit and its not just me saying this. And several sites are calling it a hit probably because of those numbers.
Last season
http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/live-feed/ratings-girls-finale-client-list-true-blood-nurse-jackie-339232
“Girls’ gross audience — including DVR, encores, On Demand and HBO Go views — is at 4.1 million for the season.”
So, it is a hit just not with live viewership.
Now, if the OnDemand/DVR/ HBO Go viewership goes down, then we can argue that its not a hit.
@Peter, Ah, I thought you were referring to Friday Night Lights. That’s a problem I fall into reading comments from newest to oldest.
Its also worth noting that the Football game had 47 million viewers, which probably affected the viewership of both Shameless and Girls.

@Jonathan
“Does being a certain gender mean you can’t like certain television show? I mean what is this 1950?”
Of course not. Anyone can (and should) watch whatever they like. I’m not saying Rob or anyone else shouldn’t watch Grey’s. I’m just genuinely lost as to why he or any other guy would want to. There’s just nothing in there that seems remotely guy-friendly.
I have a very varied group of male friends, all with different ideas and preferences when it comes to television taste. Yet I don’t know a single guy that watches Grey’s Anatomy other than when their girlfriends or wives force them to. The episodes I’ve been made to watch have only served to help me get to sleep that much more quickly that night. A story about doctors in various relationship combinations, occasionally dealing with sick people? Thrilling.
It just seems to me that Grey’s falls into that rare girl-audience-only category (along with the likes of Sex and the City, Gossip Girl and such) where the lad content is non-existent and so I’m genuinely lost as to what enjoyment a bloke could find in watching it. That’s all.
@Nick what about star wars and ben 10? the ratings please?
and thank you!
OMG another bad week for victorious!!??? What is happening to the world?? Its like the best show on nickelodeon!
Ugh.. -__- hopefully it goes up these last 2 episodes.
In other news…
I can’t wait for Wendell and Vinne! It looks like a funny show especially since jerry trainer is in it! (;
Good luck Charlie did great! I prefer victorious though. Good luck Charlie is basically like a remake of full house just not as popular and funny. Overall it did great (:
Wow, terrible for Girls. Enlightened is getting cancelled after this season, yes?
@Nick
Have the rating of True Justice and Banshee?
Both Girls and Enlightened are doing fine, I’d say. The aggregate numbers have been what matters to HBO for some time now, and although those season two numbers haven’t been released yet for Girls, I’d imagine it’s totaling close to the season one average of 4 million viewers across all platforms (repeats, DVR, and HBO Go). Enlightened seems to be doing a bit better than last season, overall, but if it ends this season it will be because Mike White had planned for it to end this season (which certainly seems likely, given where the show seems to be headed), not because of its initial/repeat viewing numbers for Sunday nights. Critically both series are well received (especially Girls), they’re winning awards, and neither are very expensive to produce, so I’m sure HBO is satisfied with these numbers given the fact that they have no hour-long drama to anchor these shows to at the moment.
Not sure why so many comments here are about shows those posters don’t like, instead of ones they do… In most of the cases, it seems unlikely the ones doing the commenting even watch the shows they’re trying to hate on, but, well… The Internet. Get over it, and move on to something more constructive than being an “e-hater”.
Nick,
Can you post ratings for Fish Hooks on Friday?
@Serial Rocker
When there were posted here the gender demographic for every show, it was clear that Grey’s Anatomy is watched almost entirely by women. Not surprising given the saccharine induced romances, cheesy plots, completely unbelievable doctors,unbelievable setting, sappy death of the week, unrealistic portrayal of men.
@ Robert. Thanks for the HR link. That was helpful.
Interestingly, it mentions that Girls from last year had “with encores at 10:30 and 11 p.m., the already renewed comedy pulled in 2 million over the course of the night.”
Accordingly to the stats for this year posted earlier, Girls is now pulling in just over 1 million (i.e., about 60% of Season One) for its initial viewing night (including repeats). Now, perhaps On Demand and DVR has sky-rocketed from Season One to Season Two (I guess that’s possible), but otherwise, Girls’ audience has dropped significantly – well-below even what HBO calls a “hit.”
@silvit
Very much agreed.
As a loyal fan of GIRLS – watch every episode Live – I can honestly say the second episode was one of the worst episodes of TV I’ve seen in years. The script, the direction, the sitcom cliches, the tone – all awful. Sad.
Wow, Chasing The Saturdays must have done horribly!
@Nick
What are the Yu-Gi-Oh Zexal ratings like from these past month to current on Vortexx? Can u post em?
Thanks!
