ABC was the number one network in adults 18-49 while CBS was on top with total viewers.

On ABC the two hour series premiere of The Taste earned a 2.2 adults 18-49 rating up 5 percent from a 2.1 for the season premiere of Dancing With the Stars in the time period last fall. The series finale of Private Practice garnered a 1.5, up 25 percent from last week's 1.2 adults 18-49 rating. Your predictions were about right.

On FOX, Raising Hope scored a 1.7, up 6 percent from last week's 1.6 adults 18-49 rating. Ben and Kate earned a 1.2, up 9 percent from last week's 1.1 adults 18-49 rating. On NBC, Betty White’s Off Their Rockers garnered a 1.6 at 8PM, up 7 percent from last week's 1.5 Adults 18-49 rating. A second episode at 8:30 notched a 1.8 adults 18-49 rating, even with last week. Go On earned a season low 1.3, down 24 percent from last week's 1.7 adults 18-49 rating. The season finale of Parenthood earned a 1.7, down 11 percent from last week's 1.9 adults 18-49 rating—and down 11 percent from a 1.9 for last season’s finale. Your predictions were too optimistic.

On the CW, Hart of Dixie scored a 0.7, up 17% from last week's 0.6 adults 18-49 rating. Emily  Owns M.D. earned a 0.5, up 66% from last week's 0.3 adults 18-49 rating.

Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live football game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports.

Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.

Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)

Time Shifted Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

By the way, those are awful demos! Does nobody watch tv on Tuesdays or what?!

  • senor chang

Raising Hope is the unsung hero of FOX’s Tuesday night comedy block. imagine if it weren’t on at 8. that night would look even worse.

The New Normal isn’t looking healthy at all, but if there’s one good thing, it’s that it’s bottomed out. it was retaining ~75% of Go On when The Voice was on, which made it look comparatively weak, but now that Go On has fallen so much, it’s more or less hit its floor. the question is how much it and Go On will go up when The Voice comes back on the air (and admittedly whether NBC will even care when they’re clearly not strong enough to stand on their own).

  • DeanW

Wow at the NCIS ! It did pretty well considering CBS repeated the lowest rated episode of the Season.

  • senor chang

but shiiiiiz. awful night for every network not named ABC. why are Tuesdays so low?

  • DeanW

    * The lowest rated episode of the Season (in total viewers).

  • John A

That is the best Private Practice could get? Pathetic just like Parenthood finale.

  • Jared

Happy to see Hart of Dixie up in viewers and demo. Solid show for the CW.

  • Winston Mize

I hope the CW numbers are right…I would hate to stop doing my happy dance over HoD…..

  • panda22

YAY! for Hart Of Dixie!….season high?, preemption?….even it gets adjusted dowm 0.6 its solid….season 3! :D

  • Skylar James

ABC won a Tuesday? Must be the first one in ages…

  • Me

    CW = WOW!

  • Cyrax86

Unless they plan to air repeats all through March, Go On & The New Normal don’t have enough episodes to enjoy the support of The Voice for long.

  • TheFollowing

I like Ben and Kate but its ratings are always pathetic.

New Girl recovers but still bleeding because of low rated lead-in.

  • s0303

good for cw…wish they could uncancel emily owens :(

go on and new normal are flops (i hate that word, but it was the one that fit most)

parenthood lower than i thought, but not bad considering its lead in…

  • Adam

Go On is dropping bad with no Voice Lead in

  • Winston Mize

@panda22 I’m thinking that’s a season high in the demo…if this sticks….I wish Emily owens could be Uncancelled. I like that show.

  • joethehobo

We should all be extremely afraid of shows like The Taste taking up two whole hours in primetime. The fact that that gets a 2.2 and Happy Endings gets half of that is very upsetting.

  • Samunto

What a massive drop for Go On. Well, i had expected TNN to be hittin a 0.9 by now…..
That’s even worse than the Thursday 8pm laffers that go up against CBS’s power-hour!

Funny, none of the comedies that FOX ever tried behind Idol did well. Only dramas (Bones & House) did very well.

  • Remote Patrolled

New Normal is getting better every week – less preachy now and therefore much funnier. But those ratings are a big worry!
