ABC was the number one network in adults 18-49 while CBS was on top with total viewers.

On ABC the two hour series premiere of The Taste earned a 2.2 adults 18-49 rating up 5 percent from a 2.1 for the season premiere of Dancing With the Stars in the time period last fall. The series finale of Private Practice garnered a 1.5, up 25 percent from last week's 1.2 adults 18-49 rating. Your predictions were about right.

On FOX, Raising Hope scored a 1.7, up 6 percent from last week's 1.6 adults 18-49 rating. Ben and Kate earned a 1.2, up 9 percent from last week's 1.1 adults 18-49 rating. On NBC, Betty White’s Off Their Rockers garnered a 1.6 at 8PM, up 7 percent from last week's 1.5 Adults 18-49 rating. A second episode at 8:30 notched a 1.8 adults 18-49 rating, even with last week. Go On earned a season low 1.3, down 24 percent from last week's 1.7 adults 18-49 rating. The season finale of Parenthood earned a 1.7, down 11 percent from last week's 1.9 adults 18-49 rating—and down 11 percent from a 1.9 for last season’s finale. Your predictions were too optimistic.

On the CW, Hart of Dixie scored a 0.7, up 17% from last week's 0.6 adults 18-49 rating. Emily  Owns M.D. earned a 0.5, up 66% from last week's 0.3 adults 18-49 rating.

Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live football game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports.

Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.

Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)

Time Shifted Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

Great for HoD & Emily Owens! On HoD last night, I was glad George’s mom wasn’t drinking the Zade koolaid and see what I do-Zoe & George belong together.

  • JacobYates

With parenthood over for the season, this might give Vegas a chance to regain some of the demo that it lost earlier in the season.
Also, I knew that raising hope would catch up to new girl in viewership eventually. It’s only a matter of time until it does so in the demo as well.

  • Chuck T

They should stop giving Matthew Perry a sitcom. All he does is a variation of Chandler and without the other Friends it doesn’t work. Yes, it appears Voice helped Go On.

On the other hand good for Betty White.

  • Jared

I think it’s so funny that Hart of Dixie was the last show to premiere last season on the CW with very little promotion(which went to Ringer) at the time yet HoD continues to be one of the most consistent series for the network. Season 3 to me is a safe bet.

  • Wright

Glad to see HOD go up.

  • Winston Mize

Brandy….GTFOH. Zoe & George is the worst pairing ever. they are like the Joey and Racheal of HoD.

  • Andrew

yay Hart of Dixie! fingers crossed it is even adjusted up in the finals!

I wish the writers of HOD would bring back Ruby. I feel like the character added something much needed and new to the series now it just feels like it’s going in circles with “ZADE” and Lavon/Lemon. agh. Oh, well. It’s a fun mindless show BUT THE CW should only have one of these kinds of shows on their line up. Meaning CARRIES DIARIES must go! Good call on Emily Owens.

  • robin

    Hart of Dixie half hours
    1.69 million/0.7
    1.40 million/0.6

    so don’t get too excited

  • Lisbeth Slander

Boooo to Parenthood being down. I really thought it would go up. Why aren’t more people watching this fantastic show?! When can we expect to hear of a renewal by and what mitigating circumstances will either help/hinder it? Would Smash bombing help? Deception being cancelled? Bah! I just wish I knew if it was coming back or not, they really seemed to tie up many of the loose ends…

  • BigBrotherFan

OT: Peter Krause LOOKS horrible now. He’s aged like 15 years since DIRTY SEXY MONEY based on that pic.

  • BigBrotherFan

I really hope SMASH bombs by far the most broing show I have EVER seen. I’m ashamed I watched the Pilot but perhaps it’s better than sticking FASHION STAR or some other reality trash offering in there.

  • Oliver

Doesn’t need to be a better performer, just equal their ratings. Veterans tend to get more ratings latitude than freshman because of syndication.

Community looked dead back in fall. Now I’d give it 51% chance of coming back.

  • Joe

    What a pathetic night!!!!!!!!

CBS in repeats is competitive….truly sad

NBC is down and while Betty did normal filler numbers the comedies at 9 performed horribly, Go On/New Normal were only slightly higher than Ben&Kate and lower than The Mindy Project….that is bad

FOX was up slightly but at least it was steady

CW was also up a bit

The Taste did okay but I expect a major drop next week

  • zerg

2 shows that can crack a 2.0,*Spring knock at door*, Univision at #2

BoP and Smash will flop badly…Bop is alive only for the lottery to receive tax credits from California film commission : V

  • Samunto

Should The Taste hold those numbers next week or even around 1.8, ABC will most certainly expand it to 2hrs and yank HE out of the schedule too.

  • K

Shame about New Normal, It is a likable show.

  • Josh

Last nights episode of Parenthood was incredible per usual. I really hope it gets adjusted up, it seemed like a series finale, but then again so did last years season finale. I really hope that it gets adjusted up and I hope that it gets renewed for a 5th season, of course we have to wait until May to find out. I was hoping they would have brought Sarah Ramos (Haddie) back for the season finale, but heard she guest starred on the series finale of Private Practice. Lets cross our fingers that Parenthood gets renewed, it is such a great family show, I never understood why they didn’t put it on earlier.

Sounds just like something the idiots at ABC would do and then burn off QUALITY TV like Happy Endings during the summer when reality crap like THE TASTE should be premiring in late may!
