Definitions:

Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live football game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports.

Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.

Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)

Time Shifted Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

  • Ricardo

The Voice was the glue holding NBC together.

  • Michael Myers

@Ricardo. Agreed without voice and NCIS tuesday is more dead than friday nights. No wonder the CW shows did good against such light competition lol. There is nothing to brag about here

  • Anna

You are saying that Tuesday is being a easy night for CW shows but I think you forget about Pretty Little Liars that came back to pass in the same hour that Hart of Dixie. So HoD did very well and you need to accept it babies.

  • Restless

    @Sara Bibel
The table is wrong for the second episode of Betty White’s.

  • jT

    Go new girl!!!!!!

  • mando

Go On will be given another chance at 9:00 on Thursday this fall.
Please give another chance to Guys with kids which has 17 episodes.
I want it to get 24 full season like The new normal which has less viewers than GWK!!

  • chris23

I am rooting for CW any night it gains viewers and demo, BUT the demo seems a bit high. Although the viewers are around normal, it is so weird that Emily Owens always hits over 1 million viewers to mid 1 mil and can only muster 0.3-0.4(today a .5 if not preempted), but 90210 can’t even break 1 mil and still gets .4-.5?

I hope the .7 sticks for HOD and .5 for emily, but favor hod more just b/c emily owens is canceled anyways. Hod still has to prove itself, apparently HOD has a very loyal audience! I definitely think HOD will return it is proving the same as last year it is on a night in Season 1 behind the lowest rated show gossip girl and Secret Circle was behind the strongest of the CW and HOD build an audience where Secret Circle couldn’t maintain.. Ratings were similar but I was more impressed with hod b/c of that fact a lone, It pretty much had to be a self starter out of its pathetic leadin! The same could be said this year, BATB is behind cw strongest show, and HOD (which should’ve never been put at 8 as a leadin) carried its loyal audience over from last season and is maintaing decently.. I say it gets a season 3.

Also disappointed in Parenthoods finale numbers, I was expecting atleast a 1.9-2.0 hopefully it will adjust up to a 1.8. It still did better than the 9/930 shows, which also shows PH has a loyal audience and is not effected when Voice is not in the lineup. Hopefully it will get a full season renewal next year.

Hart of Dixie is really strong for CW. Even Emily Owens is able to garner over 1 million viewers. These results should put an end to 90210. I am really impressed with Raising Hope being about to pull in the same out of viewers as New Girl. It just skews older.

Parks & Rec just earned its 6th season with the poor ratings from Go On and The New Normal. The results from Off Their Rockers really put these comedies to shame. Lastly, I really enjoyed Private Practice. I’ve always been able to get into this show more than Grey’s Anatomy. It just had a more realistic feel to it. I really like the dramatic acting from Amy and Audra and Taye. It was really an emotional episode. It felt like a regular episode and I love how it allow the viewers to really get attached to the character.

  • Ultima

    @Petar
SO Betty White’s Off Their Rockers is best half hour show on NBC, is that right? I mean for ratings.

Never watch it. Will download episodes later. Can Ultima or else explain what exactly is this show i know that is not sitcom.

It’s essentially Candid Camera (a hidden camera practical jokes show than ran off and on from the late 1940s until about ten years ago) with the twist that the jokers are elderly people and the marks are younger people.

  • Michael Myers

@Anna. You can’t be serious pretty little liars with 1.0 is now competition lmao. Face it tuesday is now more dead than friday night without The Voice and new NCIS

  • NeNe Leakes

Should I be scared about New Normal? I was in the episode so I don’t know why the ratings are so low. Oh well at least I have The Real Househoes of Atlanta to fall back on. Blonk!

  • Gary A

    A few things:

1.) IMO – one of the reasons BWOTR does well is because it’s basically a reality show and the younger demo eats up reality. Don’t watch the show but find it difficult to believe that so many people are that gullible in those “pranks”. Same problem I have with UB – how many new potential employess have full camera crews following them around?

2.) The Taste did well because its a reality show. The younger end of the demo realtes to the people on the show because they think that they too will have a chance to find stardom in this way.

3.) Why would the season finale of PH be expected to be higher than most regular season episodes ( the 1.7 is down a little from last week but is on average for the season I think )? & why would people flock into the series finale of PP since it was never a hit on its own? This rating is slightly higher than its normal ratings but again not by much.

4.) I have made this point before ( and been roundly criticized on TBTN because we all know here that nothing matters but the demo and total viewers are superflous ) but if I was the sponsor and I was paying my ad $$ I sure would like to have my money on NCIS ( eevn in a repeat ) because even though it tied RH and was only 1/10 of a point higher than BWOTR it had more viewers than 2 or 3 other series (combined) airing at the same time. The more people seeing my ad means more possible customers – and if I dont have to pay extra for those eyes, great.

  • Rudyard

Go On has way too many cast members and none of them are memorable. Matthew Perry is very funny but his mugging doesn’t go over well as he gets older. It just looks like he’s trying too hard to make up for a very average show. Every week, it’s pretty much the same thing, the group wants to go somewhere, Matt doesn’t, then he does and gets a life lesson. Boring. At least Mr. Sunshine was original. That being said, it will probably come back next season because NBC has nothing else.

  • Lainey

Yay HART OF DIXIE! Hopefully this is a sign that things are starting to look up for sweet shows at The CW. If I were in charge, I would throw Rachel Bilson onto some talk shows and magazines right now to keep the momentum going. I love this show!!

  • CrimTV

Why do the NBC comedies keep dropping, it’s so annoying!

  • USAmerica1st

The Taste was quite a surprise: very good show concept, great panel of chefs, and the professional/home cooks and their spoonfuls of food were inventive. DVR’d for the long run.

  • Cyrax86

NBC has just picked up its 11th comedy pilot for the next season, I’m sure 6 of them at least will get a series order and will appear on the schedule in May.

  • Claire

These numbers are not surprising. I didn’t watch one second of TV last night. What a colossal waste of — everything. Snore.

  • Nick

Once again Off Their Rockers did amazing!

  • thesnowleopard

Wow, look at Hart of Dixie. Get a few more of those in the finals and it’ll probably get that thirdandfourth season.
