Last week, the American Idol premiere earned a 6.0 adults 18-49 rating. It was a significant drop from last season, but still a huge number. Now that viewers have gotten a taste of the Mariah Carey-Nicki Minaj "rivalry", will they be back for more? Make your ratings predictions below.

@TVMAN: I assume you haven’t watched the G4 network (in operation for 13 years), which is, for all purposes, now defunct except for reruns of its final 2 original shows before a new network takes over its spot. Kristin was there for nearly 8 years, debuting as host of a video-game show called ‘Cheat!’. She had been doing correspondence for G4 ever since coming aboard in 2005, her last appearance being the final episode of ‘X-Play’, which was televised 1/23. Rumor has it she might become host of another talent show, to air on NBC. I don’t know of any ‘Idol’ contender who has become as successful as she has without ever having to sing again. 8 years at the same cable network, covering conventions and reviewing or previewing video games, to me is a very good run. Success doth not always necessarily multi-platinum maketh, and likewise the reverse.
