   Has anyone read ‘ The Naked Communist ?’ These goals go back 50 years. I’d say they are making progress.

   Promote the U.N. as the only hope for mankind.

   Continue giving Russia access to the U.S. Patent Office.

   Capture one or both of the political parties in the United States.. Use technical decisions of the courts to weaken basic American institutions by claiming their activities violate civil rights.

   Get control of the schools. Use them as transmission belts for socialism and current Communist propaganda. Soften the curriculum. Get control of teachers’ associations. Put the party line in textbooks.

   Infiltrate the press. Get control of book-review assignments, editorial writing, policy-making positions.

   Gain control of key positions in radio, TV, and motion pictures.

   Continue discrediting American culture by degrading all forms of artistic expression. An American Communist cell was told to “eliminate all good sculpture from parks and buildings, substitute shapeless, awkward and meaningless forms.”

   Eliminate all laws governing obscenity by calling them “censorship” and a violation of free speech and free press.

   Break down cultural standards of morality by promoting pornography and obscenity in books, magazines, motion pictures, radio, and TV.

   Present homosexuality, degeneracy and promiscuity as “normal, natural, healthy.”

   Infiltrate the churches and replace revealed religion with “social” religion. Discredit the Bible and emphasize the need for intellectual maturity, which does not need a “religious crutch.”

   Eliminate prayer or any phase of religious expression in the schools on the ground that it violates the principle of “separation of church and state.”

   Discredit the American Constitution by calling it inadequate, old-fashioned, out of step with modern needs, a hindrance to cooperation between nations on a worldwide basis.

   Discredit the American Founding Fathers. Present them as selfish aristocrats who had no concern for the “common man.”

   Belittle all forms of American culture and discourage the teaching of American history on the ground that it was only a minor part of the “big picture

   Infiltrate and gain control of more unions.

   Discredit the family as an institution. Encourage promiscuity and easy divorce.37. Infiltrate and gain control of big business.

   Internationalize the Panama Canal.

   Repeal the Connally reservation so the United States cannot prevent the World Court from seizing jurisdiction [over domestic problems. Give the World Court jurisdiction] over nations and individuals alike.

   Good Morning everyone.

   D.D. you are right. The liberal on here don’t what to talk about what GOOD their man Obama has done.

   I am no longer responding to people who tells me to ‘google it’ when I ask them for proof of their statements.

   The UAW had slowed down the insulation of robots for years. I have been saying for years that people need to be trained for trade jobs if they did want to go to college.

   Hey there young lady! If you google the loons from here it goes to the same sites everytime, Think progress and Mediamatters! oh and one more, “Butthead Hotties”

   Many years ago when I was consulting to the auto industry the UAW would allow robotics and new technologys BUT they would not let it replace the heads 1 – 1. That meant that on a line that was fully robotic that used to have 10 poeple on it now only had 5 people WATCHING the robots do the work! Then when management said this ait so good, the UAW said fine NO ROBOTS!

   And people actually wonder why GM almost went belly up!

   Today is the first day this year that we didn’t have to turn on the heater first thing in the morning. I’ve thought of going for a flu vaccine – never have – but maybe that cold streak worked to kill the bug here already?

   I read this story the other day.

   I worked pediatrics 3 years & tend to keep up with their professional papers. This is from a lengthy Abstract about the damage done by media violence. Just a couple of highlights:

   THE AMERICAN ACADEMY OF PEDIATRICS

   By 18 years of age, the average young person will have viewed an estimated 200000 acts of violence on television alone.21

   Because children have high levels of exposure, media have greater access and time to shape young people’s attitudes and actions than do parents or teachers, replacing them as educators, role models, and the primary sources of information about the world and how one behaves in it.36

   The Center on Media and Child Health at Harvard has accumulated data on the influence & seriousness of media & video game violence.

   Children learn best by observing a behavior and then trying it. The consequences of their behavioral attempts influence whether they repeat the behavior. All violent media can teach specific violent behaviors, the circumstances when such behaviors seem appropriate and useful, and attitudes and beliefs about such behavior.

   “The evidence is now clear and convincing: media violence is one of the causal factors of real-life violence and aggression,” the American Academy of Pediatrics’ council on communications and the media concluded

   The last letter was the same as the first one 4 years ago and had this question: “Dear Mr. President…Do you have any idea what you’ve gotten yourself into?”
   I don’t think President Obama has any idea, 4 years later.

    I’m newer to this site, so I’m asking all you old timers here.

    How old do you think Mark2 is? He says he is retired and he was in the military for 21 years. His posts the words he uses don’t sound like those of a 65 year old man. His posts also did not sound like those of a 21 year vet. I know many people who were in the military for over 6 years. I’ve never meet a vet as cocky as Mark2.
