Mark2, Obama ran as a centrist. Meaning not a left winger not a right winger but from the center. Now, he is telling the country about all his left wing plans. I’m glad you are proud that he had to LIE about what he was about to win.
—————–
I would argue he was more center-left then complete centrist, that being said if you believe what Fox news says he was campaigning as a far left socialist. lol
I should point out in terms of gun control the far right position is all guns should be legal and the government should stay out of your business in all ways. The far left position is all guns should be banned. A Centrist gun control position would be we should allow most guns but we should have rules.
@AppleStinx
Now for a reality check…let’s compare the Top Cable News show (OReilly Factor) to the Big Leagues:
Top Evening News shows for total viewers:
#1 – NBC News = 9,169,000
#2 – ABC News = 8,544,000
#3 – CBS News = 7,214,000
#4 – OReilly = 3,235,000
@Mark2
There’s no comparison. Broadcast news are 1/2-hour programs. Cable news programs are 1-hour programs.
reality check???
Mark2, you really look like a total dumbasss. and i mean that in an honest & sincere way mark. you make yourself appear really ignorant when you can’t comprehend that O’reilly is on a cable network that requires a paid subscription to cable tv as opposed to free tv that anybody gets for FREE just by pluggin your tv into the wall and watch alphabet news as easy as 1 2 3 and probably found on channels 3 4 5. understand yet?
p.s. ..with as much hate that comes out of your fingertips, i’m sure you can handle alil criticism regarding your ignorance & narrowmindedness.
i must give you minor credit though. you’re not dumbasss #1 in here. i’d say a tie @ #2 with jeffy, but behind #1..uASSa88 who calls Sicilian Papa “undeducated” (undeducated? really?) then corrects peoples grammar, and refers to himself as “we” and “us” repeatedly and talks to himself alot. hahaha..shlt is so funny sometimes.
^
If 9 million people are tuning in to watch Brian Williams for 1/2 hour, it’s still 9 million people. If 3 million people are tuning in to watch OReilly for 1 hour, it’s still 3 million people. Whether it’s 1/2 hour or 1 hour there are several million more Americans that are tuning into to watch Broadcast News than Cable News.
@PeteS “O’reilly is on a cable network that requires a paid subscription to cable tv as opposed to free tv that anybody gets for FREE…”
Who cares?!…you knucklehead!!! It makes no difference if Broadcast is free or not, the end result is that more Americans who watch TV are getting their news from Broadcast (Liberal) media…that’s all that matters. You can whine all day long by saying that Broadcast is free but it makes no difference…the end result is the end result.
@Mark2
Those are averages. You’re treating the numbers as if they were unique viewers.
you’re right marky2, i’m just a knucklehead. you’re a really…special, smart little guy (i picture a Corky-looking figure) with an ‘always winning’ attitude (always on fire). even when you lose mark, your end result is always winner! (in one way or another). you happy guy you!
Broadcast news average more viewers over 1/2 hour than ‘The Factor’ does over 1 hour. How is that comparing apples and apples?
@AppleStinx “Those are averages. You’re treating the numbers as if they were unique viewers”
Wow…looks like you need to be schooled as well. Those are averages of Unique viewers during that time period. The same goes for every single TV show.
Brian Williams beats OReilly by 5 to 6 million viewers every single night. Broadcast News draws an average of 25-26 Million unique viewers every night.
Even OReilly corrected a viewer duing his mail segment when the viewer stated in the email “…the Factor beats all Evening News programs…” OReilly told the viewer that Brian Williams is the King of Evening News and that he draws over 9 million viewers on a nightly basis. You see, even Oreilly admitted it.
@PeteS
Hang in there…maybe one day a Republican will get back into the Oval Office. However, the earliest that could happen is in 2024 after Hillary finishes up her 8 years. Even then, the Republicans will have to go back to being Liberal like Lincoln if they even want a chance.
Mark2
I can’t wait for Hillary to run. I can’t wait to see the “What difference does it make” smear campaign over and over on TV. I hope these hearings keep nailing her to the wall. She would be a shoe-in if she told the truth, like I was told to lie by our incumbent president so not to damage his election campaign and never for a minute did I think the video propaganda bs we concocted wouldn’t be investigated so I disappeared for a bit with the fake illness shtick to collect my thoughts and come up with even more bs. So if she says all of this and say, look if you can elect a president who bought votes with free phones and back door amnesty programs and “phantom” voters who lied about everything before during and after the election about his true agenda then why not me? Can’t get any worse, right?
Good Morning Everyone
It does seem like MSNBC is losing steam and it seems to be a trend not vise versa.
The forecast as of midnight was for light snow around here, its freezing rain, sleet and snow and accidents galor this morning…
*CDC: New Version of Stomach Bug Causing Illness…
(I know this, around here its at epidemic levels)
Morning Coffee & Group.
Who thinks this back & forth pi$$ing contest regarding the cable networks is doing one iota of good?

I’d rather talk about loss of jobs.
On the way toward Singularity
Many of us just saw the photo of Sergey Brin riding the NYC subway wearing Google’s augmented-reality “glasses.” The device sits on the wearer’s ears and covers one eye with a translucent rectangle — about the size of a postage stamp — that transmits data about the wearer’s surroundings directly into his or her eye. In lieu of a touchscreen, certain swiping motions made on the side of the headset can be used to navigate app interfaces, while hands-free functionality lets the user capture photos and video and complete other tasks.
Robots can Serve Up 360 Hamburgers Per Hour, companies like Gravity Light converting gravitational energy into light, Khan Academy advances, military robots & drones, 3 D printing, smart meters, facial recognition & personal data glasses, Tug from Aethon, roams the halls of hospitals dispensing medication to patients as needed Plus, Tug, who’s been deployed in over 100 hospitals already, doesn’t mind delivering meals or linens as well. Then there are early self-driving cars, electronic sensors, fuel cells that cleans water and makes electricity—simultaneously
Report: US Lost 28% (687,000) Of High-Tech Manufacturing Jobs
01/19/2013
The nation’s rapidly shrinking lead in science and technology in the global marketplace was accompanied by a toll on U.S. high-tech jobs, according to a new study released today by the National Science Board (NSB), the policy making body for the National Science Foundation.

Good Morning
I’m not sure I want to read parts 2&3
I fully believe that 28% loss stat though.
@Coffee Steve I had that Stomach Virus for over 3 weeks. I would take over the counter meds and it me help start to feel better then 2 or 3 days it would come back again. After 3 weeks and wife bugging me went to the doctor. They took some blood told me it was a virus no meds they could give me, I was told not to take over counter meds, had to stay away from dairy products, cheese and booze for a week. Doctor told me my problem was over counter meds made me feel better, I would eat normal again that included dairy products etc, which cause the dead virus cells to be become active again. So you need a week to clean the virus out of your system.
