You can see TV ratings from other recent Overnight ratings reports here.
Definitions: Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live football game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports.
Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.
Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)
Time Shifted Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

Good for the Neighbors & The Middle, especially going against Idol. Both shows were hilarious last night.
WOW for CSI. I am so happy the show is still dominating the competition after 13 years!
AI
Given the number of truly interesting scripts/pilots NBC has on deck for next season and how pitiful most of its shows are performing now, am I crazy to think there’s going to be a lot of carnage in the next few months?
Modern Family is really down this year. There was a time where Modern Family competed with The Big Bang Theory for top sitcom. Now TBBT is on a level all its own.
Nice to see Arrow and Supernatural steady.
half hours
Arrow
1.1/3.13
1.1/3.18
Supernatural
1.0/2.20
0.9/2.00
Now I bid adieu before this turns into a Supernatural discussion about how it was the worst episode (it wasn’t).
The Neighbors is the best show I have ever seen about aliens living in a neighborhood
Idol is not out, but definitely down. Good news for reality show TV haters.
I’m finding Modern Family somewhat labored and unfunny this season, while I think that The Middle is hitting its peak.
@Billy,
Just this year, MF premiered higher than TBBT, and I think last year it beat it in the ratings actually.
Also, I hadn’t noticed the red thing saying that CBS had been preempted. I think that CSI number will come down, it is way too high. Still awesome for the show if it gets a 2.5 or something
One of the most amazing things about this site is the level of crazy when it comes to shows that have dropped in the ratings but still do amazing.
Things like IDOL and MF are down, yet still remain powerhouses for their respective networks yet people commend when a show that previously got a 1.3 notches a 1.4. LOL
All the reruns on NBC did Chicago Fire no help.
@Brian J
Expect a comedy clearout and 4 new comedies in the fall. That said, some space is cleared up by The Office and 30 Rock ending on their own terms.
As someone who hated the last two episodes of SN I am glad to say that I was able to enjoy this weeks offering much better and I’m glad it got a good rating
Now I am to begin my hour week mini show hiatus I mentioned previously since future spoilers do not appeal and we’ll see if the spoilers by then excite me to start watching again later in the season or not
@Oliver
Criminal Minds/CSI do better with SVU/CF in repeats.
Don’t know about CSI, but Criminal Minds has been getting that rating all season long, tenth up, tenth down, no matter what aired against it, so… can you explain your reasoning?
*four week
ABC: The comedy block still doing well, with a bit of improvement in the 8pm hour. Though perhaps it was a little too soon to have said Nashville’s renewal was certain?
CW: Rock steady performance for the Wednesday night pairing.
CBS: Even with a repeat it still does good business. Though need to wait for preemptions.
Fox: That’s quite a big fall for American Idol, but not as large as last year.
NBC: Ouch for Chicago Fire. That show is like a yo-yo!
@ChuckT
All the repeats on NBC didn’t need to do CF any help since that was also a repeat.
@ Max- I really dont think anyone on this site cares what you say!
arrow/supernatural are very steady…good ratings
csi did great, nashville back on the bubble?
not sure neighbors should be renewed…definitely weaker than the other comedies and if they move it next season, it will tank…
glad modern family is falling, most over rated show on tv…
American Idol is still kickin every shows butt. The Voice only wishes it could have gotten these numbers. If you compare numbers from shows in 2004, you will see EVERYTHING is down. Shows with a 4.1 share were getting cancelled back in the day….a 5.4 were probably on the bubble. Things have changed and today a 5.4 is considered a hit. Hardly any shows get 16 million viewers and a 5.4 rating.
