Definitions: Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live football game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports.
Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.
Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)
Time Shifted Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

AI stlll big but down a lot. CSI still big too.
@BigBrotherFan
I still think Cassidy is just an average actress. Let’s hope Laurel can have a better character development.
I’m actually loving Idol so far, Mariah and Nikki are crazy. However, I do think Simon, Randy, and Paula should come back next season for the final season.
Why is everyone so down on MF???? Hilarious last night – especially w/Phil as the Godfather – classic!!!! I still think it and TBBT are the funniest comedies on TV, period.
Blue Bloods almost beat CSI/Criminal Minds in viewers but had only half as much 18-49. Is BB’s A50+ like 9.0?!?!
GOOD that Idol is dropping. Looks like Nicki and Mariah are getting old already.
@Billy
TBBT is up about 20% over last year
The Big Bang Theory is only up 6% year-to-year.
why is MF so down this year? it deserves better.
and oh no, nashville
wtf happened?! AHS finale? CSI rise? i hope it was just a one week thing and that the next episode is back up to 2.0+
arrow? much ado about nothing! Despite all the publicity does not get a large audience certainly better than some CW shows. pity that Stephen Amell is bad acting, looks like a piece of wood!
If anybody cares…
Modern Family was up week to week in 18-34 year olds.
When was the last time the CW weren’t sixth out of the six broadcast nets over an entire night?
@Winning
Idol should be okay if it stays in this area this season instead of huge declines
There’s absolutely no chance that happens; Idol’s ratings will drop significantly as the season progresses, just like every other year.
It will be down big year-to-year again (though probably not as much as last year). It won’t matter, the show will be fine, because it is still one of the highest rated shows on TV.
@David Howell
When was the last time the CW weren’t sixth out of the six broadcast nets over an entire night?
Last Wednesday.
16 million people are still watching IDOL – and over a 5.0.
It’s not what it used to be – but nothing is bigger than Idol other than The Voice who isn’t always over a 5.5 themselves.
CSI -STRONG!
ARROW – STEADY
Wish Arrow’s numbers would grow. – Is this all that Arrow will be able to have?! 1.1. – 1.2?
What’s happening to Modern Family? I know they are still really good ratings but it just keeps dropping and it’s even worse when compared to last years ratings.
Great for Arrow an Supernatural!
But I am a bit worried about next season. They seem steady at 1.1 and 0.9 right now, but if tradition holds up Arrow might get a ratings drop in it’s seconds season and if it does then it would be down to the other CW shows’ level pretty soon.
But if the CW does pickup Amazon and pair it off with Arrow, I think they could get even higher ratings. Wonder Woman is MUCH MORE popular than Green Arrow and if done right, which I feel it will on the CW, then people will watch. I can see the show easily breaking the CW series premiere record and averaging around at least a 1.6 for the first season. It would give Arrow the boost it needs to and find even more mainstream viewers.
Supernatural is solid enough that they can pair it off with a new compatible show and it’ll do great on Monday nights. With Jensen and Jared already contracted for 10 seasons, I don’t think the CW will be willing to give them up until they have to, after season 10.
@RG-X
but nothing is bigger than Idol other than The Voice
What are you talking about? The Voice’s season high this year was only a 4.9.
I don’t watch Arrow so I can’t comment on Stephen Amell’s acting – but as a gay man I’m not sure that acting ability matters all that much.
The guy is insanely hot
@Ben
What’s happening to Modern Family? I know they are still really good ratings but it just keeps dropping and it’s even worse when compared to last years ratings.
Yes, that’s what happens when shows get older.
