Good for MF, no new season low. I have a feeling Suburgatory will not improve even when it moves back to 8:30
There is something about the Neighbors, it is pretty preposterous but it has heart and is kinda sweet.
I think Suburgatory will be canceled at the end of this season.Next week,it will air without the MF lead-in and likely to hit a series low.Every show launched after MF is getting canceled.ABC was stupid to move Suburgatory to 9:30pm timeslot instead of leaving in 8:30pm.Once again,ABC is killing their shows,so sad.
DAMMIT! NASHVILLE HIT A 2.0 AGAIN!
Oh, well. It is inline with Castle and beat Revenge.
This year I can only stand about hour of American Idol, then I switch over to a really good 2 hours of Criminal Minds and CSI!!! Also DVR Arrow, Supernatural and Nashville!!
God, that 9pm half hour had some awesome numbers, solid to great for all the nets showing originals.
1.9 for Nashville & people excited – 1.9 is lousy based on competion.
Was expecting the middle to get adjusted down
Modern Family is the only network program I watch on this night. Lilly is the funniest one on that show. Maybe she will get a spinoff!!
Very impressive Criminal Minds! Ratings continue to rise. This show is so strong with heavy competition and no lead in. I tried again with AI and its just not going to happen. Officially tuning out. Good numbers for CSI.
New Girl will do better after the MF slot. C’mon Fox, it’s your production, move it to your network.
I love the ABC Wednesday comedy block.(Especially The Middle, Suburgatory, and Modern Family. The Neighbors is so-so).
The only reason for ABC to renew Suburgatory is if they are really serious about a 2 hour comedy block on Friday. If not, then it should be cancelled. This show can not remain on the same night. It should at least be garnering more viewers than The Neighbors. ABC should allow new viewers to discover The Neighbors over the Summer. I would keep it right where it is at for one more season to let it grow after The Middle.
Also ABC should really try a special episode of Nashville after DWTS. If there is no improvement, I would cancel it.
Nashville and CSI are both reruns next week so Chicago Fire SHOULD do well. No excuses if it doesn’t.
@snowleopard – There was no January drop-off for Supernatural last year either. I think you are mixing it up with the daylight savings time slump that many shows go through. In January last year, Supernatural was getting the same 0.8′s with the occasional 0.7 thrown in that it was getting when season 7 started. In March of 2012 it started its 0.7 string with one 0.6 until the end of the season.
abc should have just let neighbors have the post modern family slot…it would probably be doing better than what suburgatory is…
It is funny how an overwhelmingly large number of people thought that The Neighbors would be a waste of the Modern Family lead-in, but it seems now that it can arguably do better than Surburgatory.
I also think it is impressive that ABC comedies, especially The Middle and The Neighbors are actually doing about the same against X factor and against the monster that is Idol.
Nashville has some life in it. I thought it would be doomed after that episode 2 drop to 2.0 and subsequent drops to 1.8. But it is holding there and even improving.
@Paul P
1.9 for Nashville & people excited – 1.9 is lousy based on competion.
If they’re fans of the show and want to see it on TV next year, then it is irrelevant how the competition is doing. A 1.9 is fine for Nashville and will get it renewed.
All you Suburgatory haters need to chill. It is still a lock for renewal. While it’s ratings are disappointing considering it’s being led in by Modern Family, they’re still not low enough to put it on the bubble.
All that being said, it’s quality has taken a hit. I’m not feeling the George/Dallas relationship at all. I thought he was better off with Alicia Silverstone. I hope they break up by season’s end and he either goes back to being a player or finds someone different.
Got to laugh that being aired after MF is now a bad thing and ABC is killing shows by doing this. What will crazy fans come up with next?
