THE NEIGHBORS is the freshest and funniest new show on TV. It may yet become THE funniest show old or new. PLEASE renew it. Once people see this show they will flip. It is PERFECTLY cast to produce gigantic bellylaughs.

The Neighbors is doing decent. It will be interesting to see how it does next week without the middle and modern family being new. But I could see it getting renewed. It is an ABC produced comedy. That and Malibu Country both are which is why I think they’ll both be renewed because abc wants some syndication money. Especially Malibu country considering its multi camera.

Suburgatory is quite the shock for a show that constantly built out of the middle last season the modern family lead in hasn’t done nothing for the show. It’ll most likely get renewed but if its ratings aren’t good next season it’ll be axed its a WB produced comedy. Modern family is way down which is gotta be a worry for abc and Nashville is doing as good as revenge was doing last season. Lets hope how to live with your parents…. Does good after modern family.

Criminal Minds and CSI both did amazing numbers!

The CW is at least breathing on Wednesdays. I remember when Wednesdays were their worst night when ANTM and a few flop shows and a few flop reality shows lived shortly. They couldn’t get a show to work in the 9 pm hour on Wednesdays. Monday is their Wednesday. Most likely next season they’ll overhaul Mondays and put a more action/genre show on Mondays.

I feel ABC should try one episode of The Neighbors behind a new episode of Modern Family. I want to see if it can at least pull in between 7-8 million viewers @9:30pm.

Final ratings for SPN early last spring:

    1/09 0.8/2 and 1.82 million
    1/17 0.7/2 (was a 0.6 in the overnights) and 1.55 million
    1/24 Repeat (0.4/1 960 thousand)
    1/31 Repeat (0.4/1 and 1.1 million)
    2/6 0.8/2 and 1.72 million
    2/13 0.8/2 and 1.88 million

So, in the first month of ratings, there was a drop in the second original episode of the year. I would call a drop to a 0.6 in the overnights/0.7 in the finals along with a drop of nearly three hundred thousand, versus 0.8s and higher audience the other three weeks of originals, a “dip,” wouldn’t you? So the show maintaining both higher ratings than last season at this time, not to mention not yet showing a dip, is an improvement, no?

The Middle and The Neighbors are the dumbest shows I’ve seen in a while.

Criminal Minds! Crazy Steady! Crazy Show! Love it! xD

And Arrow keeps shooting on target! woohoo!!! =)

Suburgatory needs to get back at wednesday 8:30

I agree: “The Neighbors” and “Suburgatory” should switch places. Maybe it’ll do both of them good.

I have a question: almost every Wednesday somebody says here in the comments that FOX should bring “Modern Family” over to the FOX network, since it’s their production. Can they actually do that? Has that ever happened before? Bill? Someone?

Great numbers for CM – and against stiff competition. I hate AI and it might be dropping year on year but its still a beast.

CSI, very high numbers for a ten pm slot these days and way up from its last new ep.

Worrying for Nashviille – especially without any NBC competition.

I loved Suburgatory last season but it somehow has lost its shine. I’m not even sure where it went wrong but I think they rushed the Dallas/George relationship a bit.

Why is this article not appearing on your home page? Or is that just me?

I doubt HE will move back to Wednesdays, if it survives. I’m not sure it would have done better than Suburgatory and may have done worse. I also have doubts about how well it would have worked as a lead-in for Nashville (Revenge was another story).

“Nashville is doing as good as revenge was doing last season.”

No it’s not. Revenge never went below a 2 and built from its lead-in in total viewers every episode. However I suppose it could be worse since before Revenge, there were so many failures in this timeslot.

The Neighbors is really holding its own considering that many new freshman comedies haven’t caught on. Still not sure if ABC will renew the comedy but I wouldn’t be surprised if it does.

Still not sure if ABC will renew the comedy [The Neighbors] but I wouldn’t be surprised if it does.

The comedy that all the critics expected to fail immediately is getting better ratings than the hyped critical darlings. With a 2.0 rating, I think there’s very little chance it doesn’t get renewed.

I agree that it isn’t quite the irredeemable stinker that the critics had us expect, but I think there are other reasons that the show will get renewed. Considering that TN has the strongest lead-in/lead-out of any freshman sitcom, the 1.8-2 it pulls isn’t all that impressive. A test pattern would probably pull a 1.5 in that slot (1.7 if the National Anthem played in the background).

The true test as to whether it can float on it own would require it being on a night with no Middle and no MF. My guess is that it would suffer the same fate as Go On has since the Voice ended.

I think the importance of The Neighbors’ EP to the DIsney brand and ABC production’s ownership are far more compelling reasons for ABC to renew the show than it being impressive or bringing in impressive numbers. It has done ok given the circumstances. They set the show up “not to fail”, which is what it has done: “not-failed”.

Glad Nashville got adjusted up even if it is just by a tenth, that is better than getting adjusted down, but hey, I’ll take it! :)

CM and CSI are doing fine!

  • dexterfan

they should really move suburgatory. or just leave it at 8.30 where it performed quite good. the show is not helping nashville at all..
