Glee airs its first new episode since December tonight. Its most recent original episode, on December 13, earned a 2.0 adults 18-49 rating. But now the show has American Idol instead of The X Factor as a lead-in. The fast less compatible The Finder garnered a 2.2 adults 18-49 rating in the post AI spot last January 19. I went with 2.7 to 2.8. We’ll see. That’s probably too optimistic if they were getting 2.0′s before.
2.2, maybe a 2.3. The Idol lead-in might help Glee’s first half hour ratings, but they’ll definitely drop by 9:30. During the fall, the show seemed to bleed a tenth or two in the demo and over 500,000 viewers throughout the course of an episode.
I’m going w 2.6 or so, simply because the viewing availability has been erratic this season and the first episode back will probably just have the bump from “American Idol”. Personally, I’m looking forward to it; there look to be some interesting changes coming.

I went with 2.4 though I’m hoping maybe around 2.6 or 2.7 though it’s still against Grey’s Anatomy so who knows.

I say 2.1, figuring little to no boost post Idol. I think the extreme overlap in audiences between the two shows may actually hurt Glee, just looking at Nashville’s drop at 10 last night. (calling it musical burn-out) I could easily see a 2.2-.3 as much as a 1.9.

I voted 2.1-2.2. Its ratings haven’t been that great this season. I’m really looking forward to the episode.
