   “If the GOP doesn’t change, they’re DONE, nothwithstanding voter suppression and gerrymandering.” Well, I hope you are correct: Nothing would make me happier than to have the GOP (Guns Over People..I like that one), go away and never win for eternity. I’d enjoy a well funded third party, “The Party of the People” emerge. I’d strongly consider what a third party had to offer and would vote for them, if I liked what I saw. The people you listed were a cast of ghouls, ghosts, gargoyles, dummies and crazies. No wonder the Repubs lost and they’re nasty too. BBL

   By the way, by any chance, did you own a poodle or were a owned-poodle back then?

   I’ve resisted getting a flu shot so far, having seen just one person really sick, and that was the lady cashier who helped me at the local supermarket.

    That would be assuming that we too only listened to bias sources as opposed to sources from all sides and then forming an objective opinion as opposed to an ideological rant.

    On the basis of what I’ve seen since I began posting here, I’m pretty comfortable with that assumption. Every poster here, from the most intelligent to the least, from far left to far right, is guilty of giving greatest credence to those sources that affirm their world view.

    @1nancy2 We had a third party it was Ross perot got 19 percent of the vote in 1992. He was a corky guy but some of the stuff we was talking about with all his charts and graphs have come true. As we would say you will hear b big sucking sound of jobs leaving the US.

    I may agree that the more intelligent may in fact give more credence to their world view as opposed to the least intelligent who give their ONLY credence to their world view

    Maybe this will make you feel better. I don’t follow Cali politics so i have no idea if the budget is balanced or its smoke & mirrors. If the budget is like AppleStinx’s predictions then it’s not worth much.

    Gov. Jerry Brown has been able to turn in a balanced state budget for California by pushing for tax increases on the wealthy, hiking sales taxes for everybody and cutting many state services. But detractors have said Brown used fiscal tricks to achieve the balance. NewsHour correspondent Spencer Michels reports.

    Government audit criticizes exec pay at GM, Ally, AIG after bailouts

    Washington – A government auditor harshly criticized the Treasury Department for approving “excessive” pay packages for top executives at three companies that received large government bailouts.

    Christy Romero, the special inspector general overseeing the $700 billion Troubled Asset Relief Program, criticized the Treasury for approving pay raises at General Motors Co., Ally Financial Inc. and American International Group Inc.

    The report released Monday was critical of the Treasury’s special master overseeing executive pay at companies that got very large bailouts: Cash salaries of $450,000 or more were approved for 94 percent of the top 25 employees at AIG, GM and Ally.

    “While taxpayers struggle to overcome the recent financial crisis and look to the U.S. government to put a lid on compensation for executives of firms whose missteps nearly crippled the U.S. financial system, the U.S. Department of the Treasury continues to allow excessive executive pay,” the report said.

    The executives at GM, Ally and AIG “continue to rake in Treasury-approved multimillion-dollar pay packages that often exceed guidelines” previously announced, the report said.

    The Treasury approved all 18 pay raises requested by the companies.

    Andrea Mitchell Claims Obama Said Only Guests Shot Skeet—But Even New Republic Editor Contradicts Her

    How big of an Obama lapdog is Andrea Mitchell? Even bigger than ardent Obama fan Chris Hughes. The Facebook co-founder, who bought the New Republic last year, recently scored an interview with President Obama that has been criticized for its generally soft questioning. But during an appearance on Mitchell’s MSNBC show today, even Hughes was more candid about the prez than Mitchell.

    When it came to the President’s statement during the interview that at Camp David “we do skeet shooting all the time,” Mitchell claimed “he didn’t say that he was skeet shooting, but he does say that it’s one of the practices at Camp David by his guests.” Responding, Hughes effectively contradicted her: “Frank Foer, the editor of New Republic, actually asked him point blank ‘have you ever fired a gun?’ And in response he said “yeah, we go skeet shooting all the time up at Camp David. He and his guests. Which is news to us and news to a lot of people.”

    Its a Done Deal:: The medias next selection for president now that they had their historic black president is Hillary Clinton, their first women president…by 2016, the masses will forget that she was responsible for absolutely no positives in our foreign policy and helped kill 4 of our diplomats..This will be our Commander in Chief…what a world….

    On the January 25 broadcast of MSNBC’s The Cycle, 9/11 Truther and liberal commentator Touré Neblett “thank[ed] God” that ab#$rtion was there to save him from unwanted fatherhood with a girlfriend who was “just not the one.” “[I]n some ways that choice saved my life,” the MSNBC host insisted in his closing commentary, seemingly remorseless for how that choice cost an innocent human being his or her life.
