    Do it DAYS!!!!!!!!

  • moshane58

Don’t watch Days but love seeing any soap doing great.Yay for Days fans.

The wedding fallout was awesome, for once Days did something right : it involved so much characters, with grey characterisation and twists and turns, these ratings are deserved.

  • Jeff

Good for Days and great for soaps overall. Soaps are back in style baby!

  • Shelly

It was all about the wedding! This was soap action at it’s best. It reminded me of the 80’s glory days drama. It’s been a long time since I’ve been this hooked on a story line. They did it without newbies, split personalities, masks, switched paternity tests, clones, ghosts, escaped mental patients, and no one returned from the flat-lined dead.
Way to go DAYS!!! This is why for the first time since college (my roommate had the TV for DAYS, I had it for ATWT & GL. That was the deal.), many years ago; I’m watching DAYS instead of the CBS soaps. It’s sad in one way, but DAYS has been that good.

  • TimsDale4ever

I hear ya Shelly — ATWT in the 80’s was simply mind blowing excellence!

  • Jacque

I have watched Days for many years and wish that Peter Reckell could be back as Bo and Julie and Doug would be on more. There is never any mention of Bell and Shawn and I wish that Sami would decide what man she wants and quit hopping into bed with whoever especially EJ. When is she going to learn that he is not to be trusted.

  • MBmomof3

Well deserved. DOOL has been great. Keep it coming!

  • Kyle

Loved the build up and execution of the wedding storyline. Much deserved bump, DAYS.

Wow, there really has been a renewed interest in soaps so far this year. So much good news for the industry overall, and especially for DAYS. Way to go! :D

Glad Days is up again. I was a huge days fan in the 90s and 2000s but schedule is hectic so I never have time to keep up… When I do try to catcha Days episode I don’t find it interesting b/c all these new characters are a bore.. If a lot of the classic characters played a part in this wedding, then days deserves the ratings boost. I still root for this show and the soap genre in general these 4 shows deserve life on tv it has been on way too long to be canceled!!!

Just goes to show Corday that the fans want Ejami!

  • Kelby

That is awesome, but I just do not see what all of you people seem to see. If I did not know the history of this show, I would enjoy DOOL. But because I do, I can not enjoy it. Many of the stories make no sense. The show is still very plot driven. Kristen’s return has been ridiculous. Many of the characters like John and Brady are written as of they are stupid. They have made a mess out of Will’s character. Sami is digusting. EJ did horrible things to her and her family and she dares to go near him. I know there are people out there that would go back to a horrible man who hurts their family and rapes them, blackmails, etc., but this is one pathetic character. She is really no better, but wow. This is exactly why I can not really enjoy a lot of Y&R. Both have become such a mess, I do not see how they can ever get back on track. After years of sliding down this hill, my DVR is getting very little play with these two shows.

  • louise

Hey Kelby if you don’t like it don’t watch it, move on and watch another soap (when there are also the same type of flaws you just enumered but whatever) !
Days was great these last years, lot’s of us were entertained by it, lot’s of great drama, core characters involved in an umbrella story, quite good dialogue (for a daytime soap and for Days), characters flawed not black and white dynamics ect..as for Ej and Sami..tiring tiring argument, it is a soap opera..Sami was involved with Lucas for years and he framed her for murder, put her on death row, tried to make her crazy by using their son (Will doll what a story..lol) it is a soap ! Everybody can be redeemed if the writing, chemistry and good actors are here, Ej and Sami work like Luke and Laura, Alan and Monica, Todd and Blair, Bill and Laura worked despite their ‘terrible soap history’ it is soaps, nothing new.

  • louise

oups i meant Days was great these last ‘weeks’ NOT YEARS !! lol

  • Kelby

I agree that characters can be redeemed with writing, but it has to be done realistically. DOOL has had trouble being realistic since the 90s. I do not like it and I do not watch it. This is the trouble with all of the soaps. This is the reason fans left in droves and have not come back. It is the reason these soaps will be canceled sooner than later. Only the very loyal of soap fans are still watching.

  • Dizzard

Great month for DAYS so far, a renewal through September 2014 and now they’ve posted some great numbers to boot.

When DAYS really tries they can be the best soap on air, they need to go back to the action formula and they’ll be higher than GH most weeks.

  • Kelby

DOOL needs to go back to the formula of being realistic and character driven and people will watch again. They have to, in essence fix the screw ups of the last 19-20 years when the show got bad in the first place. James E. Reilly ruined the show and no one since has been able to fix the show properly. This show has continued to go down hill since 93-94. All of this time and still no writers have gotten it back on track. Do not get me wrong, there have been moments when certain characters and stories were accurate, but a hit and miss show is not a good show. JMO The best years of this show are long gone. 19-20 years of hit or miss and I do mean severe miss writing, just shows that no one behind the scenes gives a flip about fixing it. This is the sad truth. This is the case for all of the soaps. They all started slipping at some point and have any of them gotten back to being near as good as they once were? Absolutely not.
