Well IN TREATMENT got awards love and HBO canceled that, DEADWOOD? ROME?. Everyone knew about it…NOBODY watched it. Same thing here.

SEASON 3 WILL BE IT’S LAST! This can’t even qualify as a guilty pleasure it’s so bad.

  • RyanCanada

@LAME! your life is lame, and BTW this show is soooo good.

  • BigBrotherFan

Okay don’t get all dramatic. First of all I have wanted to change my name for MONTHS but I don’t want to put a disclaimer at the bottom of my posts for months, as well. I started posting in the summer when BIG BROTHER was on. PERSONALLY I am a much bigger fan of NASHVILLE, REVENGE, HAPPY ENDINGS, SCANDAL and THE FOLLOWING so again…YET ANOTHER TRIES THIS and fails

Now on to your FAILED assumption of me. 25, MALE, NOT AMERICAN, HAVE A GF NOT MARRIED, MAKE GREAT MONEY…Continue

  • Peter

@Tommy, it is a hit when OnDemand, DVR or HBO Go are factored in.

When people say that they don’t want to see her have sex, that is sexist because it means that they don’t want to look at an average woman and would rather just look at hot babes.

You’re claim of this show not being realistic is so hypocritical because you say you want realism, but when you’re confronted with the realistic looking Lena Dunham, you don’t want to see her.

  • Marty

I’m Bill Gates and I love Big Brother.

See how that works? Keep throwing stuff at the wall and see if it sticks.

  • HotLatino4GayMarriage

I love Girls but I dislike Lena. Oddly enough, I like Hannah. I’m happy it got renewed.

  • Lafe

GIRLS is one of my favorite shows on Television! So happy to know it will be around for a third season!!! Congrats Lena!! Well-deserved!!

  • BigBrotherFan

It really has nothing to do with her less-than-steller body, at all or looks. I just have no respect for a poorly written show that uses publicity tactics such as this in a attempt to get ratings yet claiming to be so “real”.

  • BigBrotherFan

Like I said THIS SHOW IS always painting a horrible picture of men, just like LENA (erm LENO) does in all her crap!

  • Ricardo

This show does not paint an horrible picture of men. If you actually watched you’d know that. The show is as good or bad depicting woman as much as men.

  • Weez

They removed all the good points I made in the comments section.

  • ReallyTired

The description states in perfectly ….. And it is one of HBO’s best. Uncomfortable to watch at times. That’s a good thing, btw!

GIRLS takes a comic look at the assorted humiliations and rare triumphs of four girls in their early 20s.

    @HotLatina I love Lena. I HATE Hannah.

“GIRLS takes a comic look at the assorted humiliations and rare triumphs of four girls in their early 20s.”

    Comic= No= Fail!
Humiliations= Sure! For everyone involved. Can’t wait when they look back at this in 5-years. I’m already embarrassed for them.
    Triumphs- Drawing a blank here…
Early 20’s= HA! Dunham looks like she’s 40 and nowhere near the age she claims to be. I am 25 and not one girl I know looks that bad. Geez. Whinehouse looked better at 27 than Dunham does at “26” and Whinehouse wasn’t exactly known for her great aging I was watching this at a hotel in L.A and my friend thought she was 40, too!
SUMMARY= FAILURE! Either way you chalk in up.

  • StupidTV

    “Jealous of Dunham’s success?”

Please. The chubby obnoxious snob of nepotism has rich parents with connections & the rest is the emperor’s new clothes. There was little “hard work” involved with her so-called success, including scoring a 3+M deal to blab about her crap, no more than some desperate female got famous for her horribly written novel on BDSM. Lena’s show caters to a tiny minority of stupid, privileged vulgar people congratulating themselves for their “trials” in life; if they weren’t rich; they’d be considered rednecks or trash. Something to put all this adoration of her show into perspective.

  • StupidTV

@BigBrotherFan I agree with your assessment of Dunham & her show. Total sleazy overrated rubbish. And yes, she looks like she’s pushing mid 30s & with diabetes.

  • StupidTV

@Peter: I’m female & if Lena’s body represents ‘the average woman’ then sheesh we must have radically different standards. No wonder so many Americans are fat and unhealthy.

Realism to a point and on certain issues are what interests intelligent people. Her show is an eyesore, an insult…like many other shows I can name. the praise she gets is unwarranted but that’s hollyweird for you

  • Hugh

Finally an HBO renew thats not 10 episodes.

  • KC

@Peter: “I know. I don’t mind when some reviewers like Maureen Ryan complain because at least she’s a professional tv critic giving a good argument as to why she didn’t like a particular storyline.”

Well you ignore normal people when they make good arguments about why they don’t like Girls, so apparently only professional critics’ opinions matter? That isn’t really fair.

  • RobertN

HBO, here’s some ideas: Bring back Carnivale! And finish the entire GOT series of books.
