You can see TV ratings from other recent Overnight ratings reports here.

Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live baseball game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports.

Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.

Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)

Time Shifted Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

Yes I know all that. All of it and much more, trust me. I was commenting on what you said word for word – you may not have meant it that way, but that’s how it came across due to how you typed it.

BTW – I am presuming you are sending all your posts from a phone and not looking at what is actually sent – well please please try to use at least some proper spacing (as well as spellcheck and proper punctuation and grammar wouldn’t hurt!. Your comments can be extremely difficult to read coherently so perhaps that is why you often get people questioning what you mean. Just a thought. :)

So Revenge is still a mess? Sad…

  • tobes

I get the sense that if greys ends next year scandal will be strong enough to take its slot and keep really strong ratings

  • BigBrotherFan

PARKS AND REC is an amazing series! The cast is exceptional. It`s a lock for renewal at this point. My only concern is what the heck does NBC do with the rest of this line-up? Parks cant handle it all on its own and I know DO KNOW HARM will likely be AWAKE PART 2 AND THE FIRM PT 2 in the ratings.

  • DEF

Anyone know why ABC continued to air Last Resort when it’s ratings were basically the same as 666 Park Avenue which stopped airing till summer?

  • Van

I don’t consider myself a retentionist, but Glee lost half of its lead in; it doesn’t deserves it, even less as a show in it’s fourth season. Other fledgling shows could use that lead in so much more.

  • Terry

Last night last resort was awesome

  • JohnC

Who still watch the idol crap!?!

  • russ

Ron loves Diane on Parks! Yay!

  • russ

Ron loves Diane on Parks and Rec! Yay.

Great numbers for POI repeat episode. With 1.9 in the demo and 10 million total viewers, CBS must be thrilled. It’s a giant and the return next week looks to be epic.

  • Brandy

JulieDawn, Also CW has two similar to Beauty shows in devolopment, two fantasy/supernatrual cop shows Sleepy Hallow & Wunderland, both about a cop and a another person investgating/solving supernatrual crimes/murders.Now,these may not get to air or to pilot but imo, its not a good sign.

    networks usually renew ONE freshman

Huh? Networks will often renew at least one freshman to avoid looking like total failures, but that is a minimum, not a maximum.

  • gerry

i dig both revenge and scandal and am looking forward to the renewal notices for both. good numbers for a scandal repeat.

i am SO HAPPY everyone on here that’s seen the LR finale seems to be of the consensus it wrapped as an actual finale. if that’s the case i might even pick the dvd set if they release as series. (take note, abc, if you give something a proper ending there are benefits.)

idol will be fine, but i do think its going to get smacked down next week by TBBT

good stuff for parks and rec!

cw should have moved BATB’ slot for spring to see if it could carry the numbers with TVD not leading it in. that spot should be used solely for propping up premiering shows until they have a stronger lineup. i have a feeling that if they move beauty, its numbers would see a drastic dip. i think its gone after this season, sorry y’all.

  • gerry

    @ DEF
i think the ratings were slightly higher for last resort, and since that 8 pm thursday hour has been so problematic, i think they chose just to leave it alone.

  • gerry

@ brandy – cw would renew every new show it had if they were putting up the same numbers as arrow. cbs has a different standard, over the past years they’ve trended only renewing one freshman drama and it works for them. nbc will probably renew more than one this season (revolution, chicago fire)… just depends on the network.

  • Wright

I don’t understand all the hate for Cult. It hasn’t even premiered yet and it looks like it has potential. I can’t wait to see Matt Davis in his own show.

  • Janice

SO…this morning.. thought i’d check in to see what thursday ratings looked like.. thought I could finally enjoy some friday morining ratings without max being a pain in the ass since scandal was in repeat… wrong! Sooooo wrong

  • juliedawn

@Brandy – yes I also knew that about the other shows in development (seriously I am already aware of all of this!), but thank you for continually trying to educate me.

To what you are saying though, yes it will be completely up in the air for BATB until May, I believe…but I will continue to think positively!

  • Deeann

wow Secret Circle fans will never get over their show being axed will they?!
