Almost every broadcast program is a repeat tonight, with the exceptions of news magazines 20/20 and Dateline, reality series Kitchen Nightmares, and, the only new scripted program, Nikita. The show has struggled mightily this season as it attempts to outrun the Cancellation Bear and make it to syndication. It has yet to score higher than a 0.4 adults 18-49 rating. But the lack of competition tonight could give it a boost. Do you think Nikita can make it to the lofty heights of a 0.5 or even a 0.6? Make your predictions.

@chris23 Nikita has a similar premise to Alias and I think you should definitely Netflix it if you have the chance. It is highly entertaining and action packed.
ask Jimmy Fallon–they re-ran the Maggie Q show–Fallon announced her from the Smash Hit Series Nikita–Smash Hit? the shpw barely registers–what a bozo Fallon is turning out to be, he’s moving past Mario Lopez as the biggest suck up in the industry–
NO! 0.4 (my vote) is its best
have to go with .5
One can only hope but I don’t think so
same old 0.4 deserves so much better!
0.4 and 1.20 million viewers
I am curious why was such a thread not created tuesday when Hart of Dixie and Emily Owens was up against mostly repeats :-/
I’ll be real and say 0.4 but I wouldn’t be surprised if it ticks up to a 0.5. Last week’s episode was amazing.
Only 1 network aired reruns on Tuesday. CBS.
0.5 max
0.5 but hopefully a 0.6 I wish it would get 0.7/0.8 but thats not going to happen.
Another factor that may help “Nikita”‘s cause is a combination of cold weather in much of the U.S. and a weak lineup of movies at the box office. Both could keep people home tonight (January 25th).
However, many in major markets who do stay home will watch local NBA and NHL telecasts and that could significantly hurt “Nikita”.
Dont compare Alias and Nikita. Alias was great and Nikita is crap compared to it.
I’m expecting it’s usual 0.4, but a 0.5 is certainly likely. I also wouldn’t rule out a possible 0.6, it’s unlikely… But I wouldn’t rule it out.
I’m feeling bold & predict 0.5 but wouldn’t rule out 0.6. After last weeks finale I’m definitely checking it out tonight.
@Chris23
Yes, definitely check it out on Netfilx!
I’m a huge Alias fan and I really love Nikita also. The original premise (and the names, though the names are from the ’90s tv series) is similar: secret agent woman who’s fiance is killed and she goes on a mission to take the organization down, but it is very different than Alias.
Also, Alias had that sci-fi aspect to it with Rambaldi, but Nikita is set more in reality.
Nikita starts off okay and then builds up momentum in the second half of the first season.
I’m always surprised at how well produced the show looks considering it’s a low rated CW series.
I think the show could pull off a 0.5, but I wouldn’t be surprised if it stayed at a 0.4
No it will keep its 0.4, I remember last year the show got a 0.4 against a bunch of reruns like this friday. So, I don’t see that changing this year.
Somewhere in the ancient, mystic trinity, you get three as a magic number.
The past and the present and the future,
Faith, hope and charity,
The heart and the brain and the body,
Give you three as a magic number.
Now, 0.3 is not as magical a number
But that is where Nikita will slumber.
0.4
@zmax
Actually, Nikita is based on a french film, which spawned a usa series in the 90′s, a Hollywood movie and possibly a Japanese movie as well. (never seen the Asian film to know whether its based on the film or not), Nikita (FR)/ La Femme Nikita (AM sub), La Femme Nikita (Usa show), Point of No Return (Hollywood movie).
Surprised that .7+ is beating .6 in the poll.
