Nielsen TV Ratings: ©2013 The Nielsen Company. All Rights Reserved.

NOTE: All ratings are "live plus same day" from Nielsen Media Research unless otherwise indicated.

Definitions:

Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.  More information on ratings is available here.

Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)

Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live football game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports.

Time Shifted Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

    Some of the Nikita fans make us other Nikita fans look bad. I actually enjoy B&tB and hopes it moves to Friday after Nikita next season.

    They need to stop speaking for us.

  • Ultima

    @thesnowleopard

    My guess is that Nikita will be renewed for a fourth season in the hopes that they can salvage something out of it. While the numbers are probably on the low side of their expectations this season, they should still be expected.

    After that, I think the CW will try and trade Friday night back to the affiliates (along with lower fees), in order to keep the network going.

  • Roswell

    Lol are fans aware there was nothin on last night besides Nikita? Time to bring back Ringer. At least it would have gotten a 0.7

  • filmfanatic

    Nikita was the only scripted show of the night with a new episode and just had a tenth increase in ratings? That’s pathetic. I am a fan of the show, but is this the best it can do? There was nothing else decent on tv that night. Everyone, unfortunately next week it will go back to its crappy 0.4

  • CrimTV

    Wow people are jumping up and down at a 0.5?! Seriously, it had no competition….

  • vcoolwater

    I agree that Nikita will be renewed for a last season for syndication purposes – they could easily sell the show to TNT etc. CW only has three shows that are doing well. Supernatural is starting to show some age. The rest of the shows are doing mediocre to bad in ratings. What do have to lose by renewing Nikita for one more season?

  • John A

    Yeah being the 3rd highest rated show on CW is showing age while Lowest rated Nikita should be renewed? I agree Nikita will get renewed but dont bring Spn into it.

  • Vcoolwater

    @ John a

    Give me a break. What is your problem? I wasn’t insulting supernatural at all. What I meant it is not the rating powerhouse it used to be back in heyday. It is still do well in ratings for a show in the eighth season.

  • Chris

    My mind is literally blown! This was Nikita’s worst episode this season…how are the ratings up?

    I love the show, but I’m supposed to believe someone can cut off another person’s hand cutting through the skin and BONE ? And Michael’s hand is miraculously healed by 3 weeks ? WHAT ? ARE YOU KIDDING ME ?

    Aside all that, the whole rouge storyline is so played out. I’m so sick of the terrible writing…

  • herpderp

    ^Yeah. Nikitards love dragging in other shows to bash when they feel insecure about their own show’s ratings, then act like they’re the victims when they’re confronted. A truly pathetic fanbase.

  • Chris

    @herpderp — I never mentioned any other shows in my post…this is the first time I post here. Not sure what you talking about ?

    Season 1/2 were great, Season 2 being better because they ditched the whole episode mission thing…Now it’s back in Season 3 and it just pisses me off.

    I still like the shoe but the writing has been off…

  • Felipe Nikita

    @Crhis
    What do you mean with ” his hand healed in 3 weeks”, he lost his hand and they put like a robot hand to replace it

  • herpderp

    @Chris

    Obviously not talking about your post.

  • Chris

    As in the wound, his whole hand was cut off…it only took 3 weeks for the wound to heal? Makes no sense, does it ?

  • John A

    VCoolWater the way you phrased your comment was like Nikita would be a good renewel and Spn was a old show with low numbers. 0.9 easily beats a pathetic season high a 0.5 for Nikita.

  • Tested

    Interesting that The Following repeat got about what the Fringe series finale got. Fox should be happy with that.

  • Hi

    mimimi sptn and john a goes crazy. no one can talk about sptn, no one. because the fans don’t accept critics. it’s a sacred show. lol

  • Brandy

    I dont believe in “the friday factor”..For a long time Sat. was the dead night for tv,now Fri too?I believe if people really wanted to watch Nikita,theyd either stay home and watch it or watch it then go out since Sat night is also for going out .Its an excuse.I bet if Nikita were going up against Idol,The Voice,Dancing,NCIS,Big Bang Theory it wouldnt do any better than what would fanboys use to defend its crsppy rstings?I also bet if any other show moved to Fri and did 0 4_0 5 and lower, Nikita fans would convientley forget the Fri Factor and bash that show.Its my opinion that theyre shouldnt be a “Fri Factor” & it dosent matter what night of the week a shows on, 0 4 not good.I also think 0.5_0.6 is higher than 0.4 ,no matter night, so saying “0.4 on Fri is the same as 0 5_0.6 on another night” is stuupid, its like saying saying “i got $5 on Wed and $1 on Fri but theyre equal, cause I got the $1 on Fri.”.

  • omabin

    @Brandy,

    It is not a matter of belief. Networks are willing to tolerate lower ratings on fridays than they are on weekdays, or else most friday shows would have been dead at the end of the last seasons. You may tell me that they should not do it, but it is irrelevant, because it is what they do. So, yes, Nikita’s 0.5 is equivalent to at least a 0.6, probably a 0.7 because the friday factor is commonly believed to be about 30% (I personally think it is actually about 35% looking at historical data on renewals for friday shows). Nikita’s average should be thought of as being of 0.5. There is a reason why Bill lists Friday shows with an F on the index.

  • John A

    Im not even a Spn fan but a show that gets a 0.9 in season 8 is good. The show got a 0.8 with a pathetic lead in(Nikita) last year on friday at 9pm. Both shows could be axed for all i care but deluded Nikita fan boys bash every CW Show that does better a bit sad really.
