Nielsen TV Ratings: ©2013 The Nielsen Company. All Rights Reserved.

NOTE: All ratings are "live plus same day" from Nielsen Media Research unless otherwise indicated.

Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.  More information on ratings is available here.

Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)

Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live football game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports.

Time Shifted Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

  • Hi

    I hope next week a 0.6! (or sustain the 0.5 ….)

  • Tom

Half hours for Nikita are 0.5/0.5 and 1.61 million/1.58 million so I doubt it will adjust down

  • POI

GO Nikita hope it hits another season high next week

  • Fake Me Out

    @Bad Wolf

… but what about the ones who are only here to bash and hate on other people only because they like a show those people hate ?

You proceed from a false premise … most of the “haters” don’t hate Nikita they just get tired of wading through the delusions of the faithful about how great the show is and how great the numbers are and how everyone who’s not watching is an idiot and doesn’t appreciate good TV. Even I don’t hate the fanboyz, hate is such a strong word, I do however find them, much like gnats or mosquitoes, to be an annoyance. I also feel sorry for them that their lives must be so empty that they have nothing better to do week after week after week to engage in imaginary battles against the forces of evil who have lined up to attack “their show”. So that is why I hope the 4th season is announced soon so they can relax … and much like Chuck fans after the final season was announced, disappear from the comments section.

  • Colin

Glad Nikita stayed a 0.5 for 18-49 but doesn’t CW care about 18-34 rather than 18-49?

  • Jade

The Carrie Diaries is such a cute show. I hope it starts to pick up some viewers because it’s struggling big time.

  • s0303

the nikita fans bashing batb sound a lot like scandal loving max who bashes revenge…course cw fans have never been known for being level headed (looking at you ringer and secret circle fans)…

  • John A

Nikita had TVD as lead in and was moved to friday it did that bad. Nikita fans acting like it never had that lead in.

  • panda22

LOL!….every fanbase is getting pulled in, Ringer; TSC; BaTB…this is fun! :D

  • panda22

Maybe we can crack 800 comments and break the record ;)

  • The Cool Max

Nikita people give it a break!! It’s at a 0.5, it’s not breaking records!

  • iggy agrimotor

. Most everyone who saw the initial airing will likely tune in again Mon.

    haha, no

  • Olka

    Glad Nikita scored .5.
    Awesome show :)

  • Mal

@Tessa as someone else said earlier, I don’t see how one night of not-as-bad numbers redeems as season of “look-away” bad (to use TVBTN’s own words) ratings. We here all agree that Nikita will get a second season. What we disagree on, however, is whether or not it deserves it. And for my part, I’m only commenting because the early flood of posters decided to bash another show to make themselves feel better about their show’s rank, foul ratings. Near as I can tell, that’s the only reason so many people are bashing Nikita fans now.

You know, “he who lives in a glass house” and all.

  • Mal

    *fourth season, sorry.

  • The Cool Max

Nikita is a over hyped show. I hope it gets the ax soon.

  • Hi

On Nikita season 1 (TVD as lead in) we had:

    1 – 0.6
    some 0.8
    A LOT of 0.9~1.0+

So, Nikita was a good retentionist.

  • FatHogNeedsBurgers

I really don’t know why the CW wouldn’t be happy with Nikita. It gets 0.4-0.5 on Friday whereas their other shows pull 0.7-1.0 during the week. It’s all relative, so seems like it’s performing OK? But what do I know? And why am I’m I adding a comment? I don’t even watch this show!

  • Percysowner

The repeat for The Following’s premiere was lower than I would have guessed given all the praise given to the show on these boards. It looks like most everybody interested in the show checked out the premiere live, and not too many were interested in watching it a second time.

I’m not trying to be snarky, but how many people watch a rerun of a show they just saw 4 nights before? Personally with DVDs I barely watch reruns even in the summer, I wait for the DVD and then marathon. Plus I DVR everything, even when watching live, so if I want to go back and rewatch, I save the program. Do that many other people rewatch live? Or is it people that have heard about the show and want to catch up? I’m curious.

  • John A

Nikita nosedived at the end of s01 with TVD just like TSC. That is why CW dumped it to friday.
