Wrong!!! That’s something you wingnuts came up with.
Mark I posted that about a week ago, Chicago had the toughest handgun laws and the courts struck it down so now they have a new law in place and that one will sit until it is challenged too. The one that was struck down was in place for years and years!

Chicago has a CRIME problem!!!!!! Gun control on the masses will NOT fix that black on black CRIME problem! Why? In 1982, Chicago instituted a handgun ban.
The murder rate was at 29.1 in 1982.
The murder rate has dropped to 17.1 in 2009.
That’s a 42% decrease since the handgun ban was implemented in 1982.
However, in 2010 Chiago repealed the handgun bans of 1982 because of the Supreme Court case of DC v. Heller.
Since that decision, Chicago’s murder rate has increased by 15%.
It’s time for Chicago to return to the handgun bans that they once implemented.
