   *Banks in stress-test for ‘global shock’…

   The six largest US banks had their trading positions compared to a “global market shock” as part of the latest round of government-mandated stress tests.

   The tests included a doubling of German sovereign debt spreads and a 56 per cent drop in the price of benchmark oil.

   On Monday, the Fed made public for the first time the assumptions the six banks had to use when stress-testing their portfolios.

   (The Good News? They seem to hold up well from the test)

   (The bad news? If they manipulated the results in anyway to look better.)

   Zucker launched his makeover Tuesday by announcing the imminent arrival of ABC News anchor Chris Cuomo to take over the troubled 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. slot currently occupied by Soledad O’Brien.

   I may tune in again is OBrien is no longer a part of the 7-9 programming

   They are called called “quanta”
   There are five main ideas represented in Quantum Theory:

   1 Energy is not continuous, but comes in small but discrete units.
   2 The elementary particles behave both like particles and like waves.
   3 The movement of these particles is inherently random.
   4 It is physically impossible to know both the position and the momentum of a particle at the same time. The more precisely one is known, the less precise the measurement of the other is.
   5 The atomic world is nothing like the world we live in.

   @Coffee steve Nah they wouldn’t fix the numbers or cook the books on the banks stress test results. Not the same banks that got tax payer money and the execs still got big bonus approved by the feds. Just like the news media spin this morning on 4th GDP .1 % if was all because of defense cuts and that consumers were still spending great. Just wait until next quarter when consumers cut spending. Oh my who will they blame this time ????

   AIG not only cooked them they shredded everything that would have shown them not only cooking the books but just flat out false numbers

    Coffee–your “physics lessons” are from a 4th grade textbook? You should know that Physics is ALL MATH and you need to get into the advanced calculus if your lessons are to mean anything….

    Good Morning Everyone.

    I don’t understand why you people feel the Republican party excludes anyone or has very strict standards.

    Republicans only have standards.

    What issues do you think the Republicans are too extreme on? And wait, I know it’s extreme to hold people accountable for their actions. It’s exclusion to tell people you have to work hard in school and at a job to make it in this country.

    Heck, there is what I see;

    The Democratic party says, you can’t make it without the Federal government. It’s not your fault you are not successful. It’s not your fault that you can’t read because you don’t want to go to school. Every problem you have is someone else fault. It’s your body do whatever you want with it. We will give you birth control and if that doesn’t work we’ll make sure that a***tion is legal. It’s not a life if you don’t want it. We owe you a good job, a nice house, nice car, nice clothes, vacations and to retire. The rich man wants to keep you down. We will make sure you have everything you need to live. You need us because bad people in American are using you. Women, gay, non-white and every special group need lots of laws to be treated equal.

    The Republican party says, you don’t need the Federal Government in your daily life. You can be successful without our help. We will help you get training and an education but you have to work at it. We already have enough laws that tells employers to treat everyone equally.
