Monday Night RAW was the top cable program Monday night, earning a 2.0 at the 9PM hour. Teen Mom 2 came in second with a 1.8, up from last week's 1.6 adults 18-49 rating
We only receive the top 100 cable shows for adults 25-54 for the whole day from our primary source. If you don’t see an original episode of a show here, it’s because it wasn’t in that list.

Because USA and TNT, especially TNT, tried to copy broadcast shows instead of the other way round. That’s a nail in the coffin for a cable show.
A show like The Following could have been easily been on TNT or FX. Broadcast tv is trying to shake up the formula a little bit because they realized cable was gaining too ground. It won’t work because 1) USA got its mistakes and it’s changing the type of shows 2)cable channels like AMC and FX, not to mention the premium cable ones are still miles ahead.
I think what we will see is that old and formulaic cable channels will lose viewers and demo like their broadcast counterpart.
Out with the old, in with the new. Independently of cable or broadcast tag.
@silvit, I agree mostly, except I don’t have a whole lot of hope for USA…Graceland seems meh, and that lame Kurt Warner show is just pointless IMO…I hope I’m wrong, because. Like a lot of their older shows. On a side not, I always thought Life would be a good USA show…not broad enough audience for NBC but could have been a nice successor to monk…then again Damien Lewis has moved on t much bigger and better things.

omg dallas. the finale ended at a 1.5 even if it was down, i didn’t expect a new low. oh man.
TNT REALLY should’ve kept it for the summer. it’s more of a summer show anyway.
Dallas should have stayed on Tuesday and in the summer. Bad decision for TNT, hopefully it stays consistent and goes up for JR.
Glad to see Continuum doing o.k. but not as well as the previous week.
It did beat out Lost Girl (which stinks anyways).

Fy’s mondays shows are underpreforming bigtime especially Lot Girl and Being human since these are SyFy’s 2 most promoted shows on the network.
Continuum is doing well considering most real Sci)Fi fans have already watched it online.
I imagine that season 2 will get much higher ratings than season 1. hope that Syfy gets to play season 2 at the same time that it airs up in Canada, but I imagine that the reason why SyFy gets the show fir as ceap as it does is becuase they air it so much later than it runs in Canada. At this point the show ran 7 months ago up in Canada. nd most peoople that I know have already found a way to watchit ove the net via illegal downloads.
Glad to see Dallas doing so poorly. the show sux ! Who wants to watch an 80 year old JR Ewing anyways ?
The rest of the cast is a bunch of nobodys that cant act!
My guess on SyFy shows, is that Being human wont get renewed but Lost Girl and Continuum will since they get the show for so cheap and Lost Girl will most likely get a 4 th season in Canada with or without Syfy on board.

All 3 SyFy shows are repeated 3 hours later. Continuum is at 8 and 11, Being Human is at 9 and 12, and Lost Girl is at 10 and 1. It would be interesting to see the combined rating for the two showings for each show. I imagine Continuum would get the biggest bump since its second showing is the earliers.

I didn’t see the preview so I can’t comment on it. But it’s clear that USA is realizing that they have to change something, unlike TNT that has a crop of new shows that are the same old same old.

That’s like saying your kid broke up with the girl you’d have preferred him marry so you’re going to make his new girlfriend’s life a living hell. Neither ASP, nor the cast of Bunheads, nor its viewers, cancelled MIOBI. It had crappy ratings. So does Bunheads. I find faults with Bunheads, find much more to like, wish it would get renewed, know it probably won’t, and won’t take it out on ABCFamily or its replacement when it happens. It’s had a fair shot, as did MIOBI.
Any fan of Firefly understands networks can ruin a good show by interfering. This did not happen here, and no one blamed the show that replaced it. MIOBI is not coming back, and if it defied the odds and did, it would have nothing to do with Bunheads.
If they’d held Dallas for summer, JR probably wouldn’t have appeared in any episodes.
LOL at MIOBI fan gloating. MIOBI still deserved cancellation. ABC Family propped that mess too long.

I just started watching Adventure Time on Cartoon Network and I’m really surprised and impressed at how good it is. I don’t normally watch a lot of animation on TV besides Bob’s Burgers and Futurama. I’m glad to see it get an 0.6 which is a good demo number for daytime on Cartoon Network, I think.
Dallas — the younger cast members just aren’t very good. Larry Hagman and Patrick Duffy blast them off the screen effortlessly, like a nuclear detonation vs. an art fart. I *WANT* this show to be good but it hinges too much on these cast members and they just ARE. NOT. GOOD. ENOUGH. I’m not sure if the ratings are reflecting that, or if there is just too much competition in this slot, or both.
Suprised about the weak numbers for Dallas.Maybe cable watchers are conditioned to watch WWE on monday nights and cant turn the channel for a quality scripted show?
Everyone under 50 on Dallas seems to have zero charisma and little talent.

those ratings shown for Syfy do contin Live +same day which includes allhowing up until 3 am. so the numbers shown are for both showings for all 3 shows. It also includes alll DVR recording watched before 3 am, but of course only Nielson viewers actualy get counted with their “magical” formula.
I really do think that genre niche type shows do get screwed over by these types of ratings, since Ihave a pretty good idea that not too many nielson households actualy watch sci-fi shows.

That’s correct, but for each *individual* airing separately. The different airings ratings are not *combined*.

No. Each airing is rated separately. The times you see in this list are for the Eastern time zone. (of course the 11pm Eastern airing is the same as the 8pm Pacific airing for cable nets that don’t have separate feeds).
Since the primary reason for rating the shows is to see how many people watched the ads, the airings have to be rated separately since they carry different ads.
